"Complex software - better for larger companies "

**Overall:** Overall, I found that Anaplan was a complex and expensive tool that was too difficult to use for the purposes we needed it for. It was not easy to create meaningful outputs and it became someone's full time job to manage it. I imagine it would be great for large corporates but maybe not smaller companies.

**Pros:** Anaplan is a very complex software. It is good for companies that have multiple dimensions that need to be considered such as multiple revenue streams, entities, costs etc. The excel add in was quite good with Anaplan, it was easy to extract data into an excel directly from Anaplan itself and this would usually be done in a matter of seconds. The ability to create multiple versions was also good and relatively easy to do.

**Cons:** It is relatively difficult to use. In order to get a successful output from Anaplan you need to be an expert in the field in my opinion. Without expert knowledge it is really difficult to make changes or improvements. I found that using Anaplan was over complicated for a business with less than £50m turnover. While the ability to have multiple dimensions etc was good, the building of this was time consuming and without expert knowledge I found it was easy to make a mistake.

"Anaplan can manage large data but lacks the new bells and whistles"

**Overall:** Anaplan was a necessary evil but I did not enjoy the complexities of uploading data sets into the tool.

**Pros:** Anaplan has the ability to support a very large data set for an enterprise level organization with multiple users

**Cons:** The code base is hard to master, making uploading changes into Anaplan difficult and time consuming. Other products have allowed for more direct input into the tool itself without code.
