Probably the best Home Health software I've used

Pros: Ease of use
Cons: Syncing
Overall: I have been a home care nurse for almost 9 years. For the first 8, the agency I worked for used Healthwyse. I loved it. It made organizing your day so easy. I wish my current agency would consider switching.
Recommendations to other buyers: I suggest any agency should use it
Pros: This software wasn't designed just for nurses. It was superior at providing back office support functionality and reporting. Every nurse we ever trained had issues in the beginning, but all felt they had accomplished something once they learned how to use it. It was the most comprehensive software, covering all aspects of home health. I don't know anything about the hospice side. I believe HW is capable of being setup with different architecture, and I can't speak intelligently about technical issues, but field staff are able to chart in patient's homes WITHOUT a network signal, and later, sync to the database when they do have a signal.
Cons: Nurses all had a hard time acclimating to HealthWyse. It isn't the most user friendly software, but once you get used to it, it does make sense. The cost for added services such as scanning, electronic billing, etc were usually very high, giving HW an opportunity to "give" you these elements for little or no cost IF you extend your contract. Customer support was probably the worst. There is no help line. All issues must be logged with a ticket number and someone may or may not respond to your ticket. They were sometimes not addressed for weeks until you complain.
Overall: All staff, the office, in the field and at the other office in another town were able to conduct business in real time and have up to date and accurate records to work with. Billing was easy to track, as were outstanding claims. Nurse could easily consult prior records during a visit.
