I find it difficult to edit things to our office's preference. The letters are helpful but often my doctor feels like he needs to edit them from spelling and grammar. The layout for dental sleep visits is done well. Billing was initially very difficult but with extra training it has become easy. The support from Dental writer’s is very helpful and easy to get in contact with. Pros I love that the layout has absolutely everything possible that I would need to ask a patient in an easy to use template and that it is laid out easy on different tabs for vitals, ESS, etc. Cons I wish it integrated better with our dental software since our primary use of this software is for the medical billing but it would be more helpful to have the clinical information transferred directly into our dental software since our patients are seeing us for both dental and sleep appliances. Reasons for choosing DentalWriter They are the top of the line and we had seen them at many dental sleep medicine CE courses and conferences. They are very supportive as well. Since we essentially needed a program with helping to bill medical insurance this fit the job even without it integrating seemingly. The fact that the screens can be customised based on my workflow and needs is wonderful. One of the greatest benefits are all the quick letters that is built into teh software. Also the ability to create your own customised quick letters and ease of integration. Great practice builder for the simple fact of inputting the patinet questionnaire and my clinical findings and with a click of a button generate as many letters to as many providers and insurance without having to type each letter out. If you have not experienced it ...request a demo. Customer support is also wonderful and their team is very helpful. They have a genuine interest in wanting to make you successful. At the end of the day we were basically told that we would not be successful billing unless we bought Dental Writer software. What a big mistake. I feel swindled. The salesperson kept mentioning how they are "upgrading" to the cloud and how they have a great billing team lead by the best biller in the industry, Randy Curran. Well, #1 there is NO cloud software, it's on a disk. #2 I called today and was told that Randy has now left the company. I am very annoyed! Pros I haven't found much about the software that I like. I asked the team to dive it, but it's very antiquated. Sorry, no Pro's from me. Cons It's on a disk. It's cumbersome. It's antiquated. My team has called several times for trainings but their customer support tells them that they need to read the manual. Really?
