It allows me to take images of products and use that image as part of the assessment to identify certain key areas of the image Cons There are still hiccups using hotspots, not all browsers handle the experience the same way and limitations on some of the resolutions can create an unstable experience. Pros The variety of learning styles offered by ProProf allows the educator opportunities to make subject matter challenging and fun at the same time creating a positive experience for everyone. Cons While other software companies offer a few more options to the learning platform such as match linking features, the expense and commitment overrides the benefits. As ProProfs continues to receive suggestions for expanding their offerings of quizzes, I am hopeful their ingenuity will prevail in meeting customer needs. Cons An important feature that is missing is the ability to score a quantitative range of input as correct. I have several key question types for which the correct answer is anything between (for example) 1.58 and 1.79. ProProfs currently does not allow me to use these kinds of questions. Because of these questions are ultimately more important for my use case than the select-a-region questions and the end-of-quiz certificates, I have switched to Canvas. If you could make these types of questions possible, I would happily switch back! Pros Diverse questions are possible, easy to frame, easy to administer, easy to assess and communicate to the user. Cons This goes by user count, but a user may take only 1 or 2 quizzes. This is not based on usage. This is the most significant limitation because of which I am exploring other programs, but retaining this. Pros It has multiple question types, allows for easy secure exams, and tests. Cons The main problem is the inability to modify answers/scores after test submission. If a teacher makes a mistake, wants to change an answer, or give credit on a wrong assessment item it is virtually impossible to do this without having to change every single test taker manually. Cons Not sure - noticed question below about integrate it with other programs - I didn't know that was a possiblity. It would be great if we could integrate it with our HRIS system with Paycor. Currently we download and upload the information to get it into the Paycor system. ProProfs meets all my expectations for ease of creating and administrating exams. Once everything is set up, ProProfs is great in that I give the students a link, and then ProProfs does the rest. Very convenient for me. Pros I use ProProfs as a modern replacement for old-fashioned paper exams. Once you get over the learning curve on how to set up an exam, it is easy enough to create the exams. And I like having a lot of options for the types of questions. And I also like being able to tailor the exam settings to meet my needs. Cons The number one complaint I hear from students is that ProProfs forces you to answer each question before moving on to the next question. Students like to go through the exam, answer all the questions they know, and then go back to answer the harder questions. They can mark a question for later review but they still have to answer. Pros ProProfs has lots of excellent ready-made assessments that we can use for safety and compliance training. The assessments are fully customizable, so we can add our own questions and branding to them. Creating tests from scratch is also pretty easy once we’ve drafted our questions. Cons While we love ProProfs’ assessment library, we’d love it if they could include more tests relevant to the manufacturing sector.
