It does a good job in allowing me to create relational data in ways that I can't using a spreadsheet. The product still feels immature in many ways. While it's not necessarily buggy, the user interface still leaves room for improvement. Pros The WYSIWYG editor for creating reports is powerful and allows for creating new report quickly. Also, importing data is straightforward and there are many useful options Cons Updating data in the browser does not provide for real-time updates, meaning that you have to remember to hit save prior to navigating elsewhere. This has resulted in lost data and lost time on several occasions. Also, relational data feels very static. For example, if you create a report on a view, columns cannot be changed without deleting the associated report. In my case, this makes views very inflexible. Review Source DM Diana M. The staff in our office learned to use it in a very short time and the functions that we use it for is quite complicated. It has various features that make it easy to use and understand. Cons It quite often runs slowly. One day you will be doing one of the functions and the next day it won't work correctly, then the next day it might be working again. The reporting in the system doesn't seem to work correctly so we had to program a work around it which is somewhat cumbersome. We do our billing from this program and it is very awkward to print because you have to go into each invoice separately and print them individually. We have had to create other reports but Zoho limits it to 300 records so we had to divide the report up into three sections and print each section separately. I would say that the reporting is the worst feature. Also, occasionally Zoho will update something without informing us, this will often effect the functionality of the program. June 14, 2018 5.0 Low cost sophisticated reports that can be created, cloned and edited in rapid fashion. I have used many report writers, some much more powerful however none as easy to use and as cost effective. Pros It is very easy to use and can create quite sophisticated reports given the ease and speed of use. It is also very affordable and can scale quite nicely while remaining affordable. Cons The requirement to store the reporting data on the Zoho servers can be a little cumbersome and may not be the most secure solution for storing sensitive data. It does what it is intended to do very well and the end results are easy to use for end users and are quite sophisticated however it is not particularly customizable and we have hit a brick wall with it a couple of times. Its an awesome way to see how we are doing with Samsung contests and allows us to send this data to our team as frequently as we'd like. Easy to download and see all you need. Pros I love how the reports can be broken down into graph formats and show the various data you need to showcase on a daily basis. I also love how you can download the data quickly into a CSV or Excel format as we use the raw data to send reporting to various communications sites and emails. Cons The least favorite thing I like is the cluttered dashboard. It stacks on top of each other and doesn't really give proper spacing to give an eye pleasing look to your reports. I hired an expert programmer to help me customize it but it was too limited to see that data I'd hoped for. I was able to see pretty basic information pretty easily so if that's what you're looking for it will work well. Pros Integrates with Zoho CRM pretty flawlessly. Cons Limited on the data it can pull from CRM so limited in how specific of data you can see. Zoho Analytics dashboards are easier to set up, have better design, and look more white-labeled than Data Studio. Pros I only recently began using , but I'm already impressed. I've been using Zoho apps for a few years now via a Zoho One account, and Zoho Analytics is definitely one of Zoho's best applications. Zoho Analytics makes it easy to set up reports, integrations, dashboards and workspaces. It offers all the functionality of Google Data Studio, but it's far easier to use and the design templates are much nicer. While Zoho Analytics is not as in-depth as Tableau, it's a great alternative for those who want to effectively visualize data from a variety of sources without committing the time it takes to learn Tableau. Cons Customer service can sometimes take a few days to respond to inquiries, but when they do respond they offer detailed and thoughtful responses. Pros When our company was selecting a new PM software one of the reason I chose Zoho Projects was because Zoho Reports integrated with seamlessly. Reports offered the info I wanted from Projects that other PM softwares couldn't offer. Other products had costly and complicated plugins- reports is cost effective and flexible Cons It took some time to learn how to customize my reports and get the data that I needed. Now that I know how Reports functions I can get any of the data I need. I love that I can make reports for our clients and they update automatically everyday. If I can't accomplish what I want the customer support is great! I would love to see chat support offered in the future. Just like with Zoho Projects, often I know Zoho Reports can do what I want it to, I just need help finding the function within the software. Cons It is ridiculously complicated to get what it seems like should be basic reports. It should be easier to customize reports with static information such as dates and titles. Some in-use pointers might be helpful... I try to make adjustments to reports and the entire thing disappears. We connect and centralize several data sources and apps to create reports for the Marketing department (SaaS application) - we use various types of sources and technos to enable sync (native, SQL on cloud, webhooks) and gather them to create 5 dashboards that encompass the whole teams activités and performance. In itself, it's a good application, but within the Zoho One Suite, and as part of the overall pricing, it's clearly underpriced for what it does! Big fan of the Zoho Suite Pros The fact it's easy to set up and organize, with powerful report / graph / dashboard creation features. Connect your sources, check, and start building reports. It can be as simple as this ! And the dashboard builders' easy drag and drop interface does a great work. More than efficient, you can even build good looking, stylish ones if you have a little time and an eye for design :) Cons Some editing features while manually modifying Tables that are already imported. Granted, when you sync with external data sources, you shouldn't do this much, but if it happens you have to manually edit a table, it can be quite tedious. I loved the fact that it automatically syncs with Zoho Recruit every 3 hours so management always has up to date information. You can create advanced queries, charts and graphs and display an array of data. You can also link to other data sources and integrate all the data into one report. I would defiantly recommend this product to small business looking for live dashboard functionality. Pros Dashboard Reporting Automated Subscriptions Data Sync with other Zoho Apps Cons It would be nice to be able to directly sync data with a sql server. You currently have to download an application to your computer and use that to send data to Zoho Reports. A web service integration would be great.
