I really like this program. We have been using it since 2006 and have never looked back. People need to realize that no matter what program your using problems will happen. And no matter what the company is, customer service will be or can get busy. Another software program may have more advanced features but your also going to pay out the butt for it. The only thing I wished they had was an inventory scanner (barcode). Do I regret this software...absolutly not.

Pros

The ease of using this software is simple. Customer information and vehicle information easy to input. Inventory easy to manage. Customer support really friendly. Overall great program.

Cons

Emailing from software kind of frustrating as every first letter of every word is capitalized. Shop Scheduler works well...can adjust the time for the work to be done... only wish customer complaints about work needed would be listed on the main list without having to click on every customer to view what needs to be done.

I used it for years loved it worked fine

Pros

It has alot of functions works well support is good

Cons

no DVI and texting to cust too many tokens & othe security that holds it up only when your trying to do work after 5 and no suport till next day

Reason for choosing LANKAR

I tested it for months and looked like the best and easy to use

Everything else was not good. Not cloud based, not user friendly.

It has NEVER dropped a decimal point on acct. recv., VERY functional car histories, vin decoder. You can TAG OUT a customer that you DON'T want to e-mail or contact.

Pros

Vin decoder, customer reminders. Several pricing matrix setups. E-mails; customers, statements, bulk mailings. You can do Reminders, Canned Jobs.

Cons

Sometimes, looking up a recently used part, You have to remember the last customer it was used on. I suspect there is a better way that I just haven't found yet

sucks outdated software. just put a call in to support as usual no one to talk to im dead in the water cant invoice and cant get ahold of anyone. im done with this company and the people that work at this place. good luck to those left

no Idea what the yearly fee for support is. Support is a total joke.

I have been using Lankar software for 4 years and unfortunately I am kind of married to it, as it is difficult to transfer all the data to an alternative software brand. The system uses old technology that is difficult to use. The reports it generates are inaccurate for profit margins and tech support has no solution. The technical support is some of the worst I have ever dealt with. I have to phone at minimum 2 times a month, wait on hold up to 10 minutes for the RECEPTIONIST, who is rude, then tells me a technician will call back shortly only to have a tech call me back hours later. I will move on one day of I can ever figure out how to export our data base. Don make the same mistake we did!
