When something comes up, a billing question, a workflow issue, something I'm not sure about, I call my support team and they have dedicated staff who knows my practice and gets back to me. That is a difference maker for me as many members I speak to often express how challenging it is with their system. They also are up to date with new mandates. They are ahead of the curve on MIPS reporting, payer rule changes, compliance updates. I do not need to research changes personally, ADS keeps me informed and their system handles it on its own. They handle it, with little need for my staff or myself. Please describe your overall experience Overall, ADS has been the right partner for my practice. They picked us up at a difficult moment, got us running, and have stayed responsive ever since. In my role with the Podiatric Medical Association I hear about a lot of billing systems and what's working and what isn't, and ADS has held up. For other podiatry practices evaluating billing software, the questions I'd ask any vendor are: how good is their support when something actually goes wrong, do you get a real person who knows your practice, and how proactive are they about keeping the system current with payer rules and mandates like MIPS. Those are the things that matter day-to-day, and ADS delivers on them. Pros What did you like most about Advanced Data Systems? I'm a podiatrist in New York and currently serve as President of the New York State Podiatric Medical Association, and therefore many members discuss their systems with me. I came to ADS after my previous billing vendor shut down abruptly. Very frightening considering that your billing is your cash flow. ADS got us onboard and back on track faster than I expected, and the transition was seamless given the circumstances. Cons Getting accustomed to the new system was a challenge but I found it to be superior to my old system and far more advanced. Pros I have been part of the ADS family for more than 20 years, and it has truly been a pleasure and a blessing for our small office. Throughout the years, ADS has consistently provided prompt responses to any questions or issues that have come up along the way. One of the things I appreciate most is being able to work side by side with such a dedicated and professional team. Their IT department is outstanding. You get to know them by name, and in my experience, I have always worked with the same group of people who take the time to understand you, your needs, and your personality. They genuinely do their best to resolve any issue as quickly as possible. Technology is not perfect, and I would be lying if I said we have never experienced technical issues. However, what I can say with complete confidence is that, from top to bottom, the ADS family has always been there for us whenever we needed support. We have had little-to-no issues with our scheduling and EHR systems, Medics Premier and Medics Cloud. All of the staff working for ADS are professional, polite and adept at handling any problems in a timely manner. Our practice is very happy with the services provided by ADS over the years. Pros The customer service provided is exceptional. ADS support representatives are quick and efficient when it comes to fixing any technical issues. ADS offers many reports that track the data of your company to optimize revenue. If your company prefers a more personalized report, ADS is able to create a new or edited template with your specific parameters. Pros The most valuable feature about ADS is the fact that they not only know the software programming but also have knowledge about medical billing, which makes it very easy to explain any concerns or problems to customer support. Customer Support Team is very easy to communicate and always try to address any issues in timely fashion Cons Unfortunately, ADS stopped providing complete support for all clearing house enrollments. My users feedback within our practice of how easy and friendly the system works. Pros I have worked with Advanced Data Systems in their PM and EHR systems for 17+ years. The flexibility of use on Medics Premier is phenomenal. All my users were trained on it right away and they loved the way how user friendly the system is. It is very easy to navigate from patient to patient and account to account without having to close the current window you are in. It still has the old concept of a chart view with the easy to read Tabs in the demographic screen and ledger view. The super robust of Financial Reports within Medics Premier really gives a great view of your revenue forecast, as well as where your claims sit. These reports can be pulled in many, different ways, depending on what you are really looking for or need. This was a great ROI decision made. I definitely recommend ADS for your PM and EHR needs. Cons The one thing thing I find least about Medics Premier system is that the Referring Physician section needs improvement. It would be of great value if when a new referring physician is being added in Premier that the functionality of the "Add from List" button worked seamlessly. This Physician Hub stays on Loading and doesn't do anything else. Us users would love for this to work as it would improve in the workflow of data entry. Pros This is a very easy to learn software. I have had a number of new employees over the years. Each one learns the software rather easily. I also have hired staff who worked with other billing software, and they said that this is easier to use. Cons I do not like that when I call for support, it may take hours and sometimes til the next day for a response. I pay a yearly support fee, so expect more timely responses. Pros First the fact that we are cloud based and were not before is great!!! Scanning, scheduling, charting and all the features that go along with it are just great!! We were behind the times with our older program and this brought us right up to date. We currently use ADS for all our office needs and what is impressive is the customer service. Run into any issue, email Ads support, hear back from them quickly and problem is resolved. Very happy finally, this has made our office extremely efficient. We were convinced by other software vendors that they had more robust features that would help us run our business with better analytics. We did not find this to be the case and switch back to MedicsPremier to get claims out correctly and paid quickly. No software is perfect. I will take MedicsPremier over the other software that does not have the capabilities or functionality of MedicsPremier. Pros We like the functionality of MedicsPremier. The ability to customize the software to our needs has been paramount in providing the data and analytics our facility partners require to run a successful program. Cons Because of MedicPremiers highly flexible software, it may be a little bit less user friendly then other software out their. The pre-scrub of claims is very helpful letting us know what errors the claim may have and we can fix on the front end and send the claim out clean. Pros Our Genetics Laboratory specializes in PGX & CGX testing required a robust billing system that could be implemented within less than sixty (60) days that was cost effective. The Premier Medic's system allows for simple explosion codes that enables us to properly bill many CPT codes per patient. Many of the systems that we reviewed were NOT designed for a Laboratory environment. The system was installed quickly and all training was performed remotely by knowledgeable ADS staff members. There is a wide variety of management reports and the system allows us to customize the reports with little or no IT experience. Cons Our lab opted for start fresh with building many of our existing databases. There was a slight learning curve with all the additional data fields that the system has. After over a year of being told by ADS that it was user error on our part, it was finally determined that the loss of functionality was due to the fact that we have Medix Elite, not Medix Premier- these features are never going to work with Medix Elite. Pros If the software were implemented, I would be able to answer. We have responded to all requests for information within one business day. Dates set by ADS pass with no communication from company. Constantly chasing down our implementation specialist Cons Integration 3 months overdue. Lack of response from implementation team. Absence of a test environment to begin training staff.
