It helps me keep track of which department items are located. I do not use the reports function much. Pros Ease of use and the ability to track both Simco calibrated items and items calibrated by other sources including internal. Also the support provided by \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]. Cons The inability to search and find items with known information. Reason for choosing CERDAAC Mostly the ability to track internal and OEM calibrated items and be able to upload those certs. I like having the option to view where the status of the equipment sent out to calibration is and what status the the equipment is in and where it is. Also like being able to look up equipment by asset number, makes finding information easy and list all the calibrations for that piece of equipment. Cons Was used to working with old version of Cerdaac, now getting switched over to new version just learning all the options available on the new version. Review Source CM Corey M. Pros CERDAAC was easy to learn and apply within our company, its a good database. Cons It would be better if the calibration information was linked better when trying to review it in the making of a calibration certificate, you cant see your information side by side to fill in the blanks for printing a calibration certificate. Pros I like that I can create reports and have them ran for just my location plus others. It make finding tools quicker. Cons I just don't know what all reports can be created. Items which are not currently in the calibration cycle can be tracked easily and added to the cal cycle when needed. I've worked in CERDAAC now for 1 year and now training new employees on how to perform once you have logged in. Cons there is nothing wrong with working in CERDAAC so far. Review Source MR Mike R. Good for equipment, but really need a program that's more holistic to the facility. Pros System is usually pretty easy to navigate. Cons Limited search parameters (e.g. can only search by Assets and not other identifiers within the record). The biggest drawback is that, I'm told, Rooms cannot be added- and thus work orders (e.g. cracks in walls, pest control) cannot be generated. Review Source CP Chris P. For my use I take id numbers and enter them into the software and once finished it generates a shipper which gets attached to the equipment to get picked up. Pros The possibility to customize the reports, all kind of reports to present to upper management to be updated about our calibration health within the company Cons I have no complaints. The only thing maybe would be the possibility to access video trainings about the software, that would be nice to access. Once you get comfortable with that we started tracking weekly/monthly tasks that need to be completed. Even purchase reminders to avoid shipping premiums. I have no complaints to file nor changes I would request at this time. Pros Cerdaac does just about everything that I would like it to. It is extremely customization to your individual needs. I find it pretty intuitive to use after minimal training. Cons Some of the widgets do not always seem to give accurate information or the information that is given has some nuance behind it that cannot be explained by the numbers. Pros The ESD and Calibration certificates that we find on CERDAAC tool has all the info the we need. we don't have to search for other details if we have this certificates. The tests done by SIMCO helps us to be in compliance. Cons It would be nice if the reviews are conducted periodically which hardens the software.
