I would recommend the program especially for those with complex contracts or payroll demands.

Pros

We've been using StarGarden for over a year and appreciate the flexibility and that it can handle the requirements of multiple contracts. We find it to be user friendly and if we run into any issues, the customer service is great.

Cons

We have yet to begin generating serious requests of the system in terms of reports. Many built in reports are easy to use but the custom program has limitations that are not proving supportive in terms of data extraction. However, part of the issue does rest with us too so it's not only a StarGarden issue.

Highly recommended. I have worked with Stargarden since 1996 and have been continuously satisfied with the software and support.

Pros

The customer service is outstanding. Never missed a payroll or a deadline. Very user friendly and accurate.

Cons

The cons are that we do not have a report writer with our system so we rely on Stargarden to create reports for us. Really Ropak's issue.

I would recommend this product for any firm that needs some built in structure, with a great deal of adaptability to your own organizations needs. the company is solely focused on HR and Payroll, which means that they are focused on these products and their development and support

Pros

Stargarden is well set-up for organizations that deal with various collective agreements and unions. It works well with positions and structures, and has a lot of features that tend to work well with government type of structures such as health care, libraries, etc. We have a lot of part time workers,and overall approximately 250-300 active employees at any time. It can handle a lot of different benefit plans, and differing contractual arrangements. The small size of the company enables us to get personal service, and keep personal connections with knowledgable development and support staff.

Cons

the help function and manuals built into the product are not as easily used or supportive as we would like - we often need to go to the help support staff at StarGarden for assistance.
