The games and activities are engaging but also targeted to a specific outcome. Pros I love its ease of deployment. Once the kids have taken their tests and receive their level, they log on and go, independently. Cons At this point, I honestly cannot say what I like least. It is a good program. I would offer that the activities could continue to offer growth and new variants to keep it new. But Freckle makes it about as simple as possible once you've worked it into your routine, and once that data is entered, you don't have to think about it again. Pros Tracking time on every aspect of a project is easy to do, with reporting that is reliable and easy to use. The site is simple to navigate regardless of one's role or department. Cons Because you have many members of the company inputting information, the potential for error/overlap can be high, such as when typing in client names -- a simple typo can then result in multiple entries for what was intended to be a single client. Freckle/Noko was created in such a way that that it was easy to use and kept things organized. I'm looking forward to continuing my use of this in the future. Pros I really enjoyed Freckle's ease of use in its design and functionality. The reporting feature has been a life-saver -- the data is easy to pull and share when needed. Additionally, having an app that syncs up with my account is so useful. Cons The pricing can be a bit much if your team's budget is small, but you have a lot of people you want to connect to the projects. However, the free demo is a good way to see if this is right for your organization. It provides effective tracking and reporting for project-based organizations (internal or external) and the reporting is easy to use. The entire platform is pretty intuitive and doesn't take much training at all to get up and running. Pros One thing about Freckle/Noko that's great is the ability to split out time tracking very granularly (project level) but still have it level up to a parent project or client. That is a solution that I haven't seen worked very effectively in other tools I've tried but Freckle/Noko does it well which allows for much better reporting (especially when you have to track and report to Finance). Cons Our instance became very unwieldy because all users were able to create individual projects that didn't tie back to client accounts which made reporting and tracking at a client and specific project level pretty challenging. This may have been an issue in the way our org was setup but it appeared to be the default where every user could create their own projects despite the fact they were really collaborating on the same project as others on the team. I'd use this as a warning to future admins to be thoughtful in the initial setup and only allow specific users permissions to create and edit projects, client accounts and tags. As an advertising agency, we had multiple team members working with various clients on various tasks at any given time. Freckle helped keep all of this organized. Pulling reports based on team member or client was easy, which helped us stay on track with our budgets and hour projects. Pros As someone new to tracking billable project hours, I found Freckle easy to use. It wasn't difficult to learn and the timer was useful. I was able to easily keep track of my various clients and projects, and could easily pull reports at the end of the month to submit to our project managers. The way completed hours are displayed are really visual and easy to read. Cons No specific cons with this project. I haven't used many other time tracking softwares to compare this one too, but it seemed to have all of the features we needed. The members of my team who have more experience with the software were all pleased with it. That experience is typically poorly designed and executed, and that's a pain. LetsFreckle sets up the plank for time tracking software; it's made by the guys who've been doing consulting work for other people doing consulting work and freelancing. It's design is clear, experience using it is just fantastic. Pros Great design and experience. Easy to use. Has chrome / safari extension for easy turning on /off and writing your todos down. Has an iOS and mac apps. Has built in invoicing. Cons Might seem expensive at first, but it's totally worth it.
