Pros First of all Time Doctor is very easy to use. It offers me control employees' time. The quality of the product is high. I can receive affordable reports about working hours. Each employee can be set to different schedules/requirements. It is a great system in the background that allows us to hold our employees accountable if necessary. Cons Time Doctor is constantly being updated and if you don't know to update the application, or it doesn't happen automatically, the app will not work as intended. The usual give away is that the app will often stop tracking automatically when starting computer use. Additionally, the admin view is limited. April 1, 2022 5.0 We took the subscription of Time Doctor at the time of the Pandemic when we were fighting hard to track our team. Time Doctor proved a boon at that time and we didn't stop using it after that. We used it with a few clients who had an hourly agreement with us and the clients were totally at ease with the reports that we shared with them and with the option that they could also ask for screenshots. We couldn't find a single bug in the software in the two years of our subscription. Pros We had been using this software for close to 2 years and we love how simplistic the UI and UX is. It's not hard to find anything at all and it's a breeze to use. The best part is the screenshots functionality. Working remotely at the time of Covid, it was such a blessing to use Time Doctor to monitor and track our team. The clients were also at ease knowing that their projects were being worked on without any delays or hiccups! Cons There was nothing much to dislike about this software. November 4, 2021 5.0 Overall, Time Doctor is a very useful tool in which we use daily for a number of reasons. As we have used Time Doctor consistently for a number of months we have been able to increase utilization scores for our employees & refine our systems to work better to meet our team time & needs overall. Pros Time Doctor allows for a in depth view for each employee & time per project spent. It is a helpful feature to ensure our teams are working to reach their highest utilization per department. Cons The navigation within the program is somewhat confusing & not as clearly laid out as I would like. As well as we have had consistent issues with getting Time Doctor to work on mobile platforms. It enables visibility of the person and what the person is working on. Cons Lack of privacy for the end user. If the person is not using the tool, it can be seen as if the person is not working, which is not always the case. For example, if the person has personal needs like going to the toilet, it can lead to micromanaging and a lack of dignity. Pros The best part of Time Doctor that differentiates it from the rest of similar apps is that it takes random screenshots throughout the duration of a user that is logged in. This allows us to view their activities and making sure that our workers are productive and time billed is spent wisely and efficiently. It's too easy to track time on the wrong project. You can fix it quickly, but you end up with a few seconds tracked on the wrong task. PS: I thing you should enhance the experience on your API Docs. Pros It's easy after a while, I can see what I'm working currently from seeing the tab anywhere on my screen, as much as my colleagues from my team's dashboard. Cons Well, sometimes it doesn't synchronize well and I have to remember exactly what I was working those times and finally manually set on TD's dashboard. Also, not all users are able to search a project's name from the app, they have to open the dropdown and search by themselves. It's bad because when we have many projects it gets odd. People are not robots that have to be infront of the computer 8 hours a day and constantly typing or moving the coursor. The webcam shot feature is beyond a invation of privacy, mostly for people who work from home. It is a micromanagement app that is completly unnecessary. Pros The app is pretty easy to use.. You load tasks and start them by clicking on PLAY. It has lots of features including webcam shots, screenshots, time tracker and pop up that asks whether you've been working when there's no activity on the user's side. They have a computer and mobile app. Really good feature is that as a company you can set it up to blur screenshots taken so no information is leaked. Cons It does not help employees to be productive. The sign that pops up when there's no mouse or keyboard activity shows even when you're watching a video, on a webinar or even making a presentation in which is mostly talking and it is not only super unprofessional but also, if you fail to click on the "Yes (I am working)" the time worked will turn orange and labeled as "Manually added time". My client provides us this tool. So far it's good for tracking employees or members that are Time-based. Pros It's Real Time, When it comes to tracking, it has user friendly dashboard and reporting views. Easy to access tools. Captures screenshots clearly. And also has the function of processing payroll and has many integrations that really works for online entrepreneurs that are managing a team. Cons The main app installed in the computer, the most updated one is actually not that user friendly. I still installed the old version which is much better. So far, only that is what I didn't like about it. Pros What I like most about Time Doctor is that we can easily monitor the work of our team members and the task that they are currently working on Cons The least of this app is that, we can't view in terms of mobile and manual time of the team members. We can't identify if the time they are consuming are really used for work since there are no links and sites provided by the said app but only the time they used for work. Reason for choosing Time Doctor We do some research about the product and ask some common friends who used this pp and since the feedback is good, so we are convinced to used this instead of looking for another one, and base on our experience so far, the app is useful to us aside from minor disadvantage of the said app that I had mentioned above.
