If you need a way to track projects, workloads, and efficiency, Time Doctor is for you.

Pros

We have a small marketing department that manages an incredibly large workload. The 4 of us cover writing, video, product labels, website, photography and more. Time Doctor is an incredible asset and allows us to accurately track where projects are, how long they're taking, and where the hold ups are. This is essential for us as we often have multiple projects running simultaneously. One standout feature for me is the client view. We love being able to show our works-in-progress without having to finish, or send off incomplete items. People can simply join our work session and give us on the spot thoughts and advice.

Cons

The price can scare off smaller businesses/single-person businesses (but it's totally worth it), and the occasional bug can present an issue every now and then, but nothing horrible.

Overall user friendly, customer service was more quick and responsive and helpful when we first started our account.

Pros

We have a combination of remote and in office employees and it helps us make sure everyone is meeting their expected hours and login times.

Cons

When I see the list of unproductive websites, I wish it would let me know WHO is viewing and accessing them. I think the system could talk to the different reports/platforms within the portal better and share information better.

This is a great tool to keep track of your time (or employees time) worked. Especially when you have clients and/or you bounce between projects and need to make sure you’re tracking time appropriately.

Pros

It looks nice and the reports are easy to read. The desktop program and the app are very intuitive. I like being able to login and easily see the work I’ve done by month, week, etc. I also like that if you are idle for too long, it’ll prompt you and ask. Sometimes we get sidetracked and forget to pause the timer so it’s great that you’re not accidentally logging time when you’re not working.

Cons

There seems to be a weird quirk when I’m using the desktop app... but only for certain tasks. Some of them I will start and then almost immediately after, it’ll ask “Are you still working on this?” Which doesn’t make any sense since I JUST started the timer. But it’s only one certain tasks. The other ones it does it after a normal amount of idle time.

I really enjoy working with Time Doctor. I get this sense of gratification and achievement whenever I get into my dashboard after a long week and look at everything I did.

Pros

I really like the sense of accomplishment that the program offers. I'm able to create my own tasks and watch my overall performance on the dashboard. Im able to personalize my activities and add them manually through the app, which is super helpful. I only use it at my desktop (haven't tried on mobile) and every once in a while it takes captures of my screen to make sure that i'm actually being productive. Overall, it keeps excellent track of my activities and reminds me to work when I'm away for too long.

Cons

The only thing that I don't like is that, on some updates, the software seems to freeze and doesn't show the current working time. Even when you resync the desktop program, it stays the same. But it doesn't affect the overall time on the page, just on the app.

Users are generally satisfied with the ease of use, and managers are in heaven with the robust features. It has been heaven-sent for tracking our global, distributed workforce.

Pros

\- Easily track hours and prove that your workers are actually working (the app tracks movement, poor time use, and also takes screenshots) - Works on Windows, Mac, and mobile - Customize the list of projects/tasks that your employees/contractors/freelancers can work on at any given time - Dashboard and reports galore - Integration with 30+ applications (at the time of writing this review): communication apps, invoicing apps, project management apps, IDE's, Google G Suite apps, etc. - Handles payroll!

Cons

\- Users have complained at times that the software is buggy and failed to track their time, but this has become less and less common over time

Once I start the application on my PC, all I need is to input the project name and hit the play button. I don’t need to worry about the time after then. I just work

Accurate time tracking for tasks and projects screen shots and app usage is one of my favorite features since it gives you a detailed info on where we spend the most time on our projects fare pricing and bulk discounts :) We integrate Time Doctor with asana for seamless task tracking Love the ability to change time spend on tasks manually in case there is need for it we get a weekly email with information on how our account is being use We can also manage and track time with the IOS app

Cons

The desktop app looks a little old school on PC but is works fine. wish they had a better way to create tasks and mark tasks as completed when these are created inside time doctor, instead of having to delete them once they are done

Easy to setup and very intuitive tool.

Pros

Time Doctor helped us in the agency to manage time of freelancer workers but also to see where our time spent on tasks was goes. Tool giving you important analysis about how much time you have spent on which task/projects, in which time of day you have done specific tasks etc. Tool capturing screenshots so you can see what someone exactly doing.

Cons

Previous version of desktop app did not have a search feature. Also desktop app sometimes just freeze in the middle of the screen.

We use it 4 years, and there is NO ANY USEFUL UPDATE for this service. bunch of buggs in anoying... Interface is very bad, you can not even make any report - because filters are absolutely is awful...

Pros

I has desktop app, but no updates of it during a looong looong time... The idea of software is good, but i don't know = how can this service be sooo bad...

Cons

No updates of service, a lot of bugs, the time is not correct!!! I track time, but it can be lost. We are 40 people using this software, and we pay to people for an hour, but we cant know, if the time is correct. So instead of saving money = we overpay to our employes...

Time Doctor helped me get more concentrated in my work to finish my project on time.I became more correct with my timetable because it calculates every second used working.ALso,this proggram helps my boss to control our time at work even when he is away.

Pros

It is very user friendly.I like that it takes screenshots and is very detailed about the time you have spent working,the edited time and time used on mobile .

Cons

The fact that I can not find the overall time I have spent working on one project.If I have worked on a specific project one day and than a I work back on it after 10 days,I cannot find the total time I have work on both days.

Time Doctor is very beneficial if you are working remote or as a freelancer.

Pros

Time Doctor is you reasonable solution for tracking time you spend on the tasks, specific projects, meetings etc. Software provides you a complete overview of your daily, weekly even monthly activities. You can see everything important related to time spent on tasks, see gaps, where you put much time that you actually need etc.

Cons

Missing task search in desktop app. If you have more than 10 tasks in the app everything becomes very unclear.

Main target to use software is save the time and using this i can save lot so other time can spend for family, otherwise i have no track of that. We do not have to worry about the time just click and start and stop, one more benefit report are generated automatically with various attributes which we can show to client.

Pros

Easy to use Dashboard with different report with accuracy Not allow us to open unwanted sites like fb, youtube etc support is very kind provide mobile support also

Cons

In Billing, once a card is added we cannot delete that. so it should be like we can delete and add new. in desktop application its start record time when we set task name and press enter, instead of that we should click on the start button in account we need to define some sites URL, so whenever user open that it stop time record without his permission.

I didn't get any benefits from this software

Pros

In the short time that I used this software there was not a single thing I liked. But if I had to say one thing, it would be it's price, it's not as expensive as other time tracking softwares.

Cons

I didn't like the lay out of the software it's very hard to understand, also the time I tracked kept going down every time I opened the desktop app. Another thing was their support team, kept sending emails for no reason, and very unprofessional emails.

Ability to review screen captures. This was even more useful during the pandemic when all users were remote.

Pros

Ability to incorporate screen captures with time tracking and integrations with the third party tools that we use like Asana and Github.

Cons

We still use the old version of the software because the latest release didn't include some of the features that we needed (the integrations for example).

Pros

We have freelancers and work from home employees. The software allows us to monitor the time used accurately. Our freelancers are several kilometers from us by using time doctor we are able to pay them fairly and accurately based on the time rendered.

Cons

The software seems to be useful for freelancers and non routine employees. For routinary employees it is not so useful. Thus, there should be a cheaper alternative with lesser features than the full version. Though I intend to remove those employees in time doctor soon so we can save on expenses as the company grows we must prioritize only placing non routinary, work from home or freelance employees because that is where the screenshot features are most useful.

The best benefit that I could get is transparency. I know how long I work and how much I get paid.

Pros

a. Transparent - since employees know how much hours they have worked and they can check how much they are going to be paid. b. Ensured that everyone is working as they should - inactivity will lead to time doctor automatically turned off. c. There are screenshots taken which will help both supervisor and employer if there's any data discrepancy. d. In case something urgent happen (e.g device issue, forgot to turn on the TD), there's an option to manually input working hours along with reason - with manager approval

Cons

a. Ability to edit inactivity time by our manager. 10 minutes is the basic inactivity time when you're asked "if you're still working" and I hope it can be edited by our manager. Because inactivity could be of many reasons and 10 minutes could be too short for some people/
