Pros It's probably the best time-tracking tool out there. As if that weren't enough, it supports Linux, which is quite rare, and offers a bunch of integrations with project management and other tools as well. Cons It's price and the confusing names and sets of functionalities of Time Doctor Classic and Time Doctor 2. The latter not only lacks a fair amount of features the former version has, many integrations previously supported aren't there in the TD2 edition. Maybe everything would be much clearer if they just chose another name for both. Employee monitoring is also possible and with task achievement monitoring through the time tracking feature is amazing. Cons Integration with other software is difficult and limited. I am hoping that future updates can somehow provide a solution to this problem, either by allowing different integrations with different software or adding more features in Time Doctor. Pros It is very easy to use it. It is customizable so you can modify it as much as you want to, for instance you can have it showing when it makes a snapshot of the monitor when you are working. It also gives you the change to have multiple projects in your list so you can switch very easily. Cons There are those times when the window showing you the current worked time just doesn't want to show and you have to click on the desktop icon to see your time. And there is also the automatic pop-up when you just have started your break and browsing something and a window is showing to remind you to clock in to work (if you have forgot to do so). Pros This software is perfect for freelance consultants needing to track project time and/or give clients access to project task breakdowns. It was easy for me to set up my clients with access credentials to their files. I also love how budget-friendly Time Doctor. It provides a scalable solution that should allow me to grow my team without too much fuss or further set-up required. Cons I don't have any particular dislikes about the software. Sometimes it is difficult to get ahold of customer support but they seem to have stepped up their game lately, so perhaps this is changing. I can effectvelly see the hours worked in comparison with others departments, analyze the websites, time iddle, and period of star / end of wrk. Full visibility Pros When the pandemia started and we move all epmployees to home office, we felt the need to have tool which will support us giving visibility on how productivy our team will be at home. In the last 2 years I think it was only down twice. Helps with my own organization, as well as monitoring my team members. Pros Quick refreshes on data, fairly well organized, easy to use. Good features like screenshots and webcam shots. Cons Lists tasks individually on time spent, but no view to group these. Example if I am working on XYZ client in several different blocks, TD will show me that I spent 1 hour here, 3 hours here, and 30 minutes here. But no easy way to tally these up to see if in a given time period like in all of August, how many hours did I spend on XYZ client. This would be nice to use. Pros Support is great. There is a chat popup in case you have any issues. The response is pretty fast, less than 24 hours. Easy to use, it has a nice easy to master and use interface. Installation on linux was quite a task. Most especially for linux users who were not running ubuntu. I am using debian derivative but it was quite a task doing the installation. I had a chat with one of the customer care agents and I can see the issues that were there have been resolved and the download on downloads page works fine without even additional installations. Cons The users are not offered with functionality to delete screenshots. Only company administrators can delete screenshots. Review Source Hazel J. It shows you all the websites you opened, how much time you spent on these sites and also very easy to edit for manual time-tracking (needs approval from moderator). Pros I love its functionality! As a daily user, I would say that It is efficient in tracking my time, & very straightforward. Also my client has access to see my timesheets. I also use it for keeping track of my own hours. Pros We can pay our employees based on the hours Time Doctor records, and use that same data to bill our clients for our employees time. Cons It would be nice if an admin could change an employees email. With a lot of turnover and new employees often having the same name as former employees, it's a cumbersome process to change a previous employees email address. Pros Not my way to handle the situation but they are billing me month after month even after I have stopped using it. The software is running in stealth mode and extracting information even if I want to get rid of the same. There is no way to discontinue the product. No one at tech support responds to emails. The sales guy \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] does not even respond to email. No way to reach them except emails. Cons I expect a refund of the services. There are many players in the market that play ethical. I consider ethics as the first thing to consider in any business relationship and I will give them -100 for that. Cons When I am on break, and on return, Time Doctor prompts me to ask whether I was working or on break. When I respond to say I was on break, and resume working - Time Doctor does not seem to resume tracking from where I stopped (before taking a break). It just does not record, until I have to manually click on a task to restart tracking my hours. Many times, I forget to manually do that, and realise hours later that Time Doctor hasn't been tracking my time of active work on the computer. Review Source Yash M. " June 16, 2020 3.0 Great support and they really tried to help me but the software is for admin and users. Its not really set up for one person freelancer. Pros Very good support. I like the web apps. It had good features like the integrations into other services. I wanted to use it for the Office 365 integration. Cons It keep messing up because I wanted the one user for $10 a month. If I had myself as admin it never tracked me correct if at all. If I had myself as admin and user, I think because it was the same name as both, it worked great but the billing wanted to charge for two users at $20 a month. The best part it keeps a check on movement of mouse and keyboard being used or not and if an employee is visiting the irrelevant website we can track it and yes it helps employee in maintaining their efficiency and utilisation also. Had we not got the life time deal from another vendor, we would have stuck with Time Doctor and honestly, even after getting the life time deal, things are not as smooth or as efficient as they were with Time Doctor. Time Doctor was truly remarkable and beats competition heads on. Pros We had been using Time Doctor in our company for remote management of employees and for time tracking for some of our clients who wished that the time be tracked for the tasks that we worked on for them. I must say that after exploring 2-3 options, Time Doctor was one option that truly worked flawlessly. No issue was faced ever, be it installing on Mac or Linux or Windows or be it screen capturing or task management or a host of other activities that were tracked using Time Doctor. Cons There was nothing to not like about this software. The only reason we shifted to another solution was that we were getting a pretty cheap Life Time Deal on another such solution.
