Instructor Higher Education Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Easy and reasonably priced" December 18, 2018 5.0 Using Quickbooks with the time clock information makes payroll take a couple of minutes, allowing me to get done quickly and correctly. Employees like the ease of use, so they actually clock in and out! The cost of the program has risen, but still well worth the time savings. Pros As an employer I wanted an easy to use time clock. This is and has been such an easy set up and managed program I could not recommend it more highly. The ability to assign managers for other employees has made my payroll day so much easier, which is a big time saver, making payroll a breeze. Cons Printing options. There is not a smooth way to print audit logs. Having that additional report would be a great help for documentation of changes made after the fact. I do not love the geolocation for logging in but luckily that doesn't matter much at my workplace. Pros It's very simple to use and intuitive. not many buttons and keeps it straight. The GPS system helps so employers know where you are when clocking in. Cons Sometimes it glitches and doesn't clock me out. Very easy and convenient to use. I put my personal email for the giftcard but my company email is \[sensitive content hidden\] Pros I like how I can have it as an app on my phone if I am already preoccupied in a call or something I can just open it quick to clock in. Cons I do wish that it would send a reminder or something like hey you’ve been clocked in for a long time, are you still working? Just as a little reminder if I ever forgot to clock out. The previous application wouldn’t show you how many hours you worked till that week was over so being able to see it everyday is a great addition. Pros On the clock works great! It is very easy to use and there was no learning curve. I love how it shows you how many hours you worked the previous application we used did not. Works very well and have had no problems this far. Cons The only thing that is a little different than what we used to use. I couldn’t find how you can leave a comment on the “punch” / time card like for when you don’t take a lunch. We’ve been using the conversations on the app to communicate this information. But I think it would make it easier to be able to do it when you punch out. Pros What did I like most about OnTheClock? It is easy to use to track hours. Starting and stopping my work sessions was simple. Cons What did I like least about OnTheClock? I wished I could edit my timecard but it wouldn't let me. Because a couple of times I forgot to punch out at the correct time. Not sure if that was a function of OnTheClock or if my employer didn't allow me to edit it. I do enjoy using this app. Its pretty user friendly and easy to navigate for 1st time users. Its also easy to see the time clock. Pros How easy it is to see you weekly time card. Its very easy to clock in and out as well. I also like how you can see all your past pay stubs easily. Cons My punches seem to glitch a not and not go through sometimes. We use the app to clock in and out for our trash valet job and would recommend it to any company looking for a simple solution. It's also pretty cool that the app is geo-fenced to ensure that we are onsite. Cons On occasion there seems to be a time lag for punching in and out though this is more likely related to our cell service connection between buildings.
