My company has been with LU for 4 years - I was part of the team that vetted LMS companies and ultimately choose LU. They have not disappointed. They have a great core crew who keep their eye on providing a tool that has a good UI and easy-to-learn software, backed up by a very robust customer support philosophy and team with continuous ongoing innovation and improvements.

Pros

It's simplicity of use, the customer support focus of the company, the page and template design and the portal design so we can target different learning audiences. It's handled thousands of learners taking courses either through learning pathways or solo courses. Mostly it just works - and when it doesn't, the support team will stick with the problem until it gets resolved.

Cons

I think the built in course builder tools are limited. The addition of Create+ will largely solve for that.

Reasons for choosing LearnUpon

UI, authentic sales team experience (we got a lot of empty sales approaches, LU's team presented as genuine, authentic and more honest), great customer service approach, product had the right balance of basic functionality + bells and whistles.

A very positive experience overall. LearnUpon is easy to use and navigate for both admins and team members. Customer support is outstanding. There are a few areas for improvement, such as reminder timing, browser compatibility and the need to use Microsoft Teams to invite and contact the team, but overall a highly effective LMS

Pros

User-friendly and easy to navigate LMS Excellent customer support from \[sensitive content hidden\] , who is always on hand to assist with updates and queries Easy to customise, including adding banners, creating courses and managing users Team members find it easy to navigate independently Batch upload for users is incredibly helpful

Cons

Reminder timing issue — Course reminders are sent in US time, meaning team members receive them in the middle of the night. No customisable reminders — There is no option to customise reminders for upcoming ILT (Instructor-Led Training) sessions. Microsoft Teams dependency — Have to use Teams to invite and contact the team, which causes additional work. Browser compatibility issues — Some modules do not open on certain browsers.

A great experience. It’s user friendly. The ease to build courses for users. The amount of courses we can build. The resources for admins.

Pros

The ease of the platform and how intuitive it is for admins and users. This platform takes e-learning to a high level.

Cons

There a little to no cons. My feedback would be is resources for customers of the customers to assist with tech issues of the platform.

Very positive! I have felt like a part of their team since day 1, and they have been very understanding to our companies needs. I have felt seen and heard as well as put as ease when I haven't felt like a "techy-pro" throughout the process. I've been proud of the system we were able to build, even without being the most technical person out there. :-)

Pros

Very easy to understand and start developing. We were able to have meetings as often as we needed to understand the system page by page. From the time of purchase we were able to be setup in 6-7 months and had a very successful launch to our entire sales force (country-wide) in November of 2025. We have also had support since our launch. Being newbies to the world of LMS, I cannot express the appreciation and gratitude we have knowing we have so much support! The ability to breakdown subjects into multiple modules has also allowed a comprehensive experience for our reps. Between the courses we've been able to add to the catalog, as well as setting up learning journeys we've been able to take advantage of multiple elements to the system. I've been able to implement reporting and tracking which has allowed us to get a pulse on where our field personnel is at with comfortability and overall knowledge of our many product lines in our company.

Cons

I struggle a little with understanding the Live Learning setup, but I think I just need more practice. We won't be using the feature quite yet, so I'm sure the support team will be able to help me once I'm ready!

We migrated from a different LMS and they made the migration process seamless. It's incredible how much customer support they provide and how communicative they are with their roadmap and upcoming changes.

Pros

LearnUpon is so easy to use, both for admins and learners. They also provide stellar customer service and their support team is really responsive.

Cons

Just like everything else right now, they're really pushing the AI features which our team does not need.

Easy to use, reliable, and enjoyed by customers. Our reps have always been kind and very helpful when we had any questions. Support, while sometimes slow, is very knowledegable.

Pros

LearnUpon is straightforward, easy to use, and is always working. Our favorite part of the platform is the reliability. For the last three years we have not had a single day of downtime. Our users find the platform easy to use, and enjoy our courses.

Cons

It does not allow for custom roles, which does not fully meet our use case. We have staff of different levels who need different permissions, but we are stuck with just learner, manager, and admin. We want our admin permissions restricted as much as we can, but the platform does not allow for that.

Good experience in that they are a partner in delivering the solution and seem to not prioritize too many bells and whistles and focus on sound solutions.

Pros

Simple UI. Continuous improvement. API is solid. Good documentation and customer support. I believe their security standards and integrations are solid as well.

Cons

There are a lot of basic learning management workflows that aren't available out of the box and need to rely on workarounds for. They are receptive to feedback but the feature rollout turnaround time could be better.

positive. After navigating customization and learning the basics it is easy to figure out the rest with customer support or with knowledge base. Learners seem to get value from the courses.

Pros

Great customer support, integrations are great, general usability is clear after some customization for learners.

Cons

admin settings are disorganized. It is difficult to tell where different settings are or you need to backtrack and use 2 different sections to edit one thing. (ie. adding a new manager to a group; you need to first make the user a manager, then add to group, then go back to give permissions). I think some customization to the resources tab would be great. (adding links as resources, document previews, grid view)

LearnUpon created a positive experience that has helped improve the learning culture within our organization.

Pros

I like that LearnUpon is user friendly for both the admin and the learners. Many of the features are intuitive.

Cons

Had ongoing trouble with password resets. We are a large organization with franchisees and their staff working all over the U.S. and Canada. On a weekly basis we would have users reaching out to us with help resetting their password as they weren't receiving the reset emails.

Overall I think it's a great platform. Having worked with several LMSs, LearnUpon is one of the more simple and intuitive. The support team is great and always available to help.

Pros

LearnUpon is easy to use from the Admin POV but also from the Learner POV. It uses a friendly interface and look quite clean. Courses are easy to set up and revision if needed.

Cons

The reporting is somewhat limited. I would be good if some of the reporting options would be more customisable. The Learning journeys feature is good but still quite limited in functionality and grouping users could be also more customisable. The Catalogue is good but again more customisation on categories, etc. would be good.
