Pros: Easy to use product. Very good tool to have out in the field. Doesn't take up a lot of space and we are able to keep track of everything on the computer.

Cons: I want to be able to have different columns for different types of material. For example. Inspection of some tools need a lot of columns but I don't need the same columns to inspect a hammer.

Hello Lee, Thanks for providing this review. Did you know that you can link an asset to a Google Docs form that can be an inspection sheet that's specific for each item. That way you can address inspecting hammers with a short list of checks and more complex tools with a longer one. Pros: It is very simple to work. I like how easy it is to operate. I love having the stickers. We are really happy with it.

Cons: When you get to the bottom sometimes it won't let you see what you are typing. I don't like that you make me write more than I want to.

Pros: I use GoCodes to conveniently track periodic inspections for safety equipment such as fire extinguishers on construction sites all over the US. My team and I am are exposed to some extreme environments. We no longer have to carry a clipboard with pages of inspection forms that blow away in the wind, become rain soaked, become illegible, or could get dropped from atop of a high structure. With GoCodes everything I need to document my inspection in on my iPhone making my job safer and easier.

Cons: We use GoCodes for periodic ladder and fire extinguisher inspections each items have different inspection criteria's. When I scan a fire extinguishers I have to scroll through all of the drop down boxes and to find all of the fire extinguisher criteria options I need to check off. It would be convenient if only options pertaining to fire extinguishers would show up on the app when I scan a fire extinguisher code.

Pros: I like just using the barcode and there is all the information, like I said a lot easier than using a pen and paper or using a spreadsheet.

Cons: I have no issues with the software, it easy and simple to use, I am trying to sit here and think of anything I would improve on and I cannot

Pros: Configuration of screen and ability to choose relevant fields. User configurable fields are very helpful. Mobile app has good scanning ability and multiple scanning updates are very good

Cons: Would like the ability to reprint qr codes on demand, have an option to scan the asset assignment in as opposed to keying it
Would like assign multiple asset id's to one asset id
Mobile app is clunky to key in data

Overall: We have not only been able to use this to track our assets but also have used it for outbound container loading and building manifests for shipping using the configuration tools and reporting

I am very happy with the ease of this program even though I have only used it for a short time.

Pros: The mobile scanning application makes the program very easy to use. All employees are happy with the program.

Cons: The code stickers do not stay on the equipment. I have been engraving the numbers on the equipment.

Pros: The software and mobile app are fantastic for my crew and I in our day to day routine. Since we've been using GoCodes, we have seen a significant decrease in missing assets. Thank you!

Overall: We always know were our assets are at all times. It's easy for any of our staff to use and training is minimal for any new user. Thank you.

Pros: We can use our funding codes to be track our investments. We can keep track of the location of the devices as long as we scan whenever it moves locations

Cons: The software can get glitchy. We are still working out the best procedures for large quantity inventory

Pros: It was affordable and easy to use for our application we use it to track demo equipment.

Cons: We would like to have more users without the huge price difference. Also the app shows the code numbers instead of description of the asset which makes it hard to find items.

Pros: I really like that we can check our inventory items in and out to our employees or to dream teamers and run reports on it.

Cons: I do wish that the QR codes could actually track in real time. Also would have done different sizes instead of just one standard size. On some of our smaller AV items its hard to place the sticker on them because the sticker is too big. Whereas the sticker is a perfect size for other items.

Pros: As I started using Go Codes more and more, I realized it's rather user friendly. Once the setup and initial steps were taken, it was good.

Cons: I had a difficult time understanding the tech support person. But it would have been nice to have a better explanation from the beginning. The sales person can't expect that all understand the lingo of what is needed for the software to work. I also have not figured out yet what to do with our old inventory on excel sheets.

Overall: The benefits so far is that our inventory is more streamlined for any new equipment that comes in. As for any promotional goodies like thumb drives or product tee shirts? Nothing. Unlike other products we have purchased.

Pros: Great GPS tracking and map locator
App is great and easy to use
Easy to train people to use the program. I have this to be nice.
Effective for its use.

Cons: The reports that are produced seem to be a little outdated. A better version of the report or a better template would make it much easier to read.
Filtering through equipment is not the best and needs some sort of update

Overall: Equipment accountability is very important for what we do. I have found that we can use it for anything within our warehouse to keep track and make people accountable. Very happy with this.

Pros: I love the ease of use to set up and the support i received. I am the only IT person for my company and it was hard for me to stay focused on this project very long as more critical things were going on. The support team gave us a product package that fit my company and gave us some time to get testing it fully and we liked what we saw.

Overall: Our Rentals department was able to go paperless for their drivers and we were able to add E-sign software which the drivers love as they only need their tablets for deliveries and picks up and the office receives the paper work almost instantly.

Pros: The ability to track assets that you have not been able to in the past. To be able to run reports on assets when asked about different types of items.

Cons: That there is not a live tracking on GPS. In order to keep track of an asset you have to depend on people to properly utilize the software.

Pros: I like the fact that there is a mobile app, and the ability to take photos right from my phone to load the inventory/assets.

Cons: I think it could be prettier to look at, and more user-friendly, but it does what you need it to do. A lot of the barcodes didn't scan initially from the app, and had to be done on the website, so that was an issue.

Pros: I like the fact that you can take pictures of the tag and pulls up it, it makes the whole transition much easier.

Cons: The tracking mechanism is still pretty confusing, on how to track an item. It does make it harder to find support on that issue.

Overall: I can easily manage IT equipment given out.

Pros: I like that it is so easy to use. Easy to have others use the scan function on phones, etc. Easy to use app function, easy to download. Report functions are helpful for sending product information to other vendors for licensing, etc.

Cons: I wish I could add more people to the admin list to be able to scan in/out. I sign people up to be able to scan in/out for me, but have to keep track on who is current and who may not need their usage right now.

Overall: asset tracking. Keeping track of warranties, maintenance, etc.

Pros: Its value. Compared to the other furniture inventory systems that I reviewed, GoCodes offered almost everything I needed for an affordable price.

Cons: It is a little difficult to input data in the beginning. Getting the inventory set up could be made a little easier.

Overall: Still in the process of entering inventory. Looking forward to being able to annually review the location of all assets.

Pros: Its very easy to import the data in different formats which is very useful. A great place to store information on the web.

Cons: GUI could be more advanced. Also the filter options are difficult to understand initially. Few more features could be added like real time synchronization.

Pros: Price worked as it should throughout our trial. Sales people were very helpful and listened to our input.

Cons: Too many features that you cannot suppress. When we don't need it to do a certain feature you have built in we would like to have it removed from our screens.

Pros: Easy to use APP, easy to use Website, easy to learn. Helpful customer support staff. Easy approval process for label design.

Cons: I would like to bea ble to personalize the look on the app. For example, simplify the information that shows when scanning.

Overall: No more manual data entry into spreadsheets. Set the information one time and scan from there, super easy!

Cons: The thing that I found interesting is that the app runs different from android to iphone. I personally have an iphone and like the feature where i can check in/ out multiple tags at once, I cant find that on the android version..?

Overall: My company has been looking for this software for years!! We are so glad that we were able to finally find this. This has been the perfect tool for our sales team, to be able to track all the different inventory, The greatest advantage is it can be accessed on there phones!! This has been a true time saver. Its very user friendly, and easy to use! Love that you can upload your own images as well as put a pin on the map where the tag was last scanned, this has helped us locate and keep better tabs as well as organization to our inventory!!

Comments: This app is great for keeping track of your assets and where they were last located. There is a few weird things like the multi asset scanning you have to hit cancel to bring up what you scanned. And then Check In doesn't assign it anywhere.

Comments: Hi the interface on Android is poor, and the gps acquisition is not working as expected. The non definable fields are also not really that suitable for us, and the basic web app is clunky as well. I know there is a full premium backend option but the value is not there for us. Also the date and time needs location specific options, ie we cannot set the system to show the time in +12GMT for example, and the date format is problem for us too, we us DD-MM-YYYY in NZ not MM-DD-YYYY even the option to use system standard YYYY-MM-DD would be an improvement for us.

Pros: Easy to get started tagging and tracking. Branding and customizing of asset tags.

Cons: Certain fields within the item description are vague, and it would be nice to have more control over customizing our fields.

Overall: We were looking for an easy way to keep track of hundreds of printers, scanners, monitors, and other equipment that isn't connected using the network. Go Codes stood out to us as offering great pricing, an easy to use interface, and flexibility in designing our ID tags. We looked at other companies offering similar solutions, but it was the simple deployment that sold me and my team on Go Codes.
Our sales representative was easy to get a hold of and quick to respond with any pre-sales questions or concerns. Post deployment support is reliable and also fast to reply with any questions on of the staff may have.
I would recommend Go Codes for any company looking for an easy to use asset tag and inventory tracking solution.

Comments: I have been using Gocodes system more than six months and I am very satisfied. It has all we need for the rental sector we operate. It is a fully customizable tool for tracking our assets since we set our group of products, so it could be used in other area. This web based tool allows us additional functionalities such as tracking asset location (through Google maps) and leaving the messages for every single asset while it`s in scaning process. Gocodes allows users to define their assets as they want. Platform is fast responsive and I would emphasize advanced search bar which is very useful. In summary Gocodes is very good system. Comments: Back up support is fantastic, although there are still a couple of minor issues that need to be attended to, not least of which is setting the system up so that the time that assets are scanned are given as "local" i.e. NZ times on the message board rather than US times. Everything else about the system its great.

Pros: Easy to use. Very thorough instruction and customer service on initial roll-out.

Cons: The initial rollout is a bit awkward and you really do need team as you recommend to get your arms around all the pieces.

Overall: We check out alot of equipment and GoCodes has been a lifesaver in tracking and marking our stock against theft and loss. Highly recommend it.

Recommendations to other buyers: Make some user videos that are more human and demonstrate the process more realistically.

Pros: i can see were may assets are on a map. and see all assets info on my mobile or pc.

Cons: I would like to be able to personalize my account more to our market, I would like to be able to print off of see my assets in Excel, and also with my own Custom Fields, (not possible for me although they say it is) . The date and time zone is a bit problem for us to know when the asset whats installed or purchased 02/04/16 means the 02 of april for us in norway but for gocodes it means 04 of febuary. so this is a feature we cannot use correctly

Overall: GoCodes is a great management system and very easy to use. I would how ever pay more for a better product. There are a few things that don't work as one would wish. for example different time zones don't work. export to excel does not work. There are a few more features that would make it better and i would pay more for.

Recommendations to other buyers: Cheap, but doesn't do everything it say on the package if you use it outside the USA.

Pros: The detailed information options that can be added to every asset.

Cons: Couple of bugs that need to be worked out with the mobile app. When you do a multiple scan. and then go back to a single it polls the previous multiple.

Overall: From the beginning we were just looking for a way to find out where our equipment was. We got in touch with GoCodes and from day one they offered us a demo and over 200 stickers! We started the process of adhering the easy to install GoCodes stickers, and installed the mobile app. Since then we have added over 1000 additional stickers. We would highly recommend this system to anyone who is looking for asset tracking or inventory management.

Pros: It is very easy to use and all the needed sections (i.e. description, serial number, last service date and notes, etc.)

Overall: We are still in the process of getting our stickers on everything but it makes so easy when employees are taking equipment out and just sending us the sticker code so we can update the location. It is also very easy to view all the equipment at certain jobs.

Overall: We were looking for an economical tracking program to keep up with tool inventory on various construction projects. We initially set up the free account but found that it wasn't as robust as obtaining the Premium package. Since initiating the Premium package, we have been able to keep up all tool inventory over a broad spectrum of job sites. Highly recommend!

Pros: The images, custom fields, app tools, and location services.

Cons: No email to admin on assignment and unassignment

Overall: We use this software for rental items, and while it only allows us to keep one picture, and does not yet provide notifications to admin on check-in and check-outs (assignments), it has helped the warehouses and customer service team IMMENSELY in communication about the items, and our customers find it hard to wiggle out of paying for lost items that are clearly scanned out to them and not returned. We use the mapping too, to see if an item is in one or the other warehouse. Overall, this has been a great investment in a tool that help us, and continues to improve as we grow as well! thanks GoCodes!

Comments: I'm probably not the best at getting what I need...since you haven't heard from me. It would be nice to know how to have assigned assets grouped above those not assigned...but then I also probably printed the labels so that some moved across the cell line and couldn't be used...so not in order. I tried to locate based on the bar code which I guess I thought would give me the location of where the item was on some secret gps..but that doesn't happen. It would be nice to be able to rotate the item picture when it's uploaded. It would be nice to know which sections would show up on the phone app so I made sure to put the item name where it would show first. Outside of that It has been a help to be able to know who has checked out what...If someone would just beat me over the head to update on my phone "check-out" when I loan it...the world would be PERFECT...but I'm sure that would be another app totally

Comments: We needed an electronic system to manage our assets. We had been manually tracing assets with spreadsheets for too long. With GoCodes we can quickly and efficiently add and manage our assets in the system with ease with all the information we need. The use of the mobile app makes it even quicker and easier. We are also grateful that this is a cloud system, we certainly didn't want another in house system to have to manage and worry with. We have really enjoyed being able to track our assets with GoCodes and see ourselves continuing to use this software for the long term.

Pros: GPS location, equipment tracking, apps for Android and iPhone.

Cons: Atvthe mercy of the scan, no scan, no trackability

Overall: We have been using GoCodes for almost a year and we have had nothing but a positive experience. The bar codes work Everytime and help us track equipment coming and going. I can also communicated with supervisors through the scan of each code.

Overall: Excellent software that allows us to keep track of our equipment scattered on numerous jobsites in multiple states. Pros: The product is super east to use a "no brainer" really. The ability to track our assets is simplified and I as CTO can manage the location, check in check out and the maintenance, warranty, etc of each asset is a key to proper asset control.

Cons: No GPS. No, seriously, I've talked with my peers and yes there is a strong placement for GPS tracking but dollar to dollar GoCodes is the best and most viable solution for multi office asset control. The tag quality, but that is only because I choose the cheapest tags to start with. Next batch will be the more durable tags.

Recommendations to other buyers: Talk to GoCodes first. Tell them what you really need, what information, what tracking options and what you see as the final result and use. These guys are the experts and their advice is timely and pertinent, or it was for me and EMW Productions.

Software is good. Just hard to get users into the habit.
