August 21, 2018 4.0 We rent surfboards, paddleboards, kayaks, beach chairs, and beach umbrellas. We sometimes struggle to find good spots on the equipment where the stickers will adhere. Because we are mobile and have several employees who can potentially scan, the limits of active apps is a hindrance. It would be great if we could pull up a map and see where all of the equipment has been checked in/out. Also, errors pop up during inopportune times. Scanner does not always read. We are still trying to implement. This program still has good potential. Some bugs need to be worked out. Pros Fast and easy set-up. Good customer service. Also scanning a few codes together and then update all at the same time. Cons I didn't find the mobile version as easy to use as the desktop. One thing I didn't like was that if I forgot to "check out" then what I had added wasn't being added. I want the program to allow me to use my cell phone. With multiple remediation projects going at one time, we have equipment at multiple locations. GoCodes is easy for the field workers to use and saves us from forgetting equipment at a job site. An extra plus is being notified when a property owner has broken containment because they can't resist "scanning for more information" . Cons The communication and customer service is a bit lacking but the software is simple enough to work through. Just scan or search for the item IDs and then use the Update All feature to fill in the fields you want to use and they will be updated to all the items you scanned. " October 19, 2017 5.0 Pros I use GoCodes to conveniently track periodic inspections for safety equipment such as fire extinguishers on construction sites all over the US. My team and I am are exposed to some extreme environments. We no longer have to carry a clipboard with pages of inspection forms that blow away in the wind, become rain soaked, become illegible, or could get dropped from atop of a high structure. With GoCodes everything I need to document my inspection in on my iPhone making my job safer and easier. Cons We use GoCodes for periodic ladder and fire extinguisher inspections each items have different inspection criteria's. When I scan a fire extinguishers I have to scroll through all of the drop down boxes and to find all of the fire extinguisher criteria options I need to check off. It would be convenient if only options pertaining to fire extinguishers would show up on the app when I scan a fire extinguisher code. Cons The accuracy on Google Maps of our assets is a little sketchy. Some items show to be exactly where they're physically located but others show to be off by several hundred yards. All customers are encouraged to try the demo or free trial to ensure that the features work as needed for their specific project and that our solution will meet requirements. While our software does provide the street address for an asset when you click in the flag, your issue is that you want to be able to view these addresses in a report which we do not support. We don't believe we ever stated that was a feature and would be glad to refund your subscription if you can provide a copy of the advertising or communication that shows we incorrectly stated that we had that feature. An asset was stolen and it was easy to identify with the unique asset tags. No problems and easy recovery. Pros Quick download, they provide all tags for your equipment. If your assets get lost it is easy for someone who found it to get it back to you. Cons It is not a standalone asset management tool, but the features and use ability outweighs that feature.
