I like how the system puts together forms very professional and instantly. Cons There is nothing I don't like about it. Pros We can turn around our financial results so much faster than we previously could, and then use those values to project out a rolling forecast easily once the initial formulas are set up. It's nearly automatic now. Cons A little bit of inflexibility with some of the reporting features (Vol, Rate analysis not possible outside downloading to Excel and QTD values not easily pulled without backend edits to saved reports). Pros I like working with the front and back end interface. The sheets are intuitive and the formula / syntax building is also easy to understand. More importantly, I enjoy the traceability of a questionable value to the source model. I can easily troubleshoot when something looks off. Cons There is size / capacity limitation for each version. So during the build , one has to ensure that the formulas are written to optimize performance. We have a very complex revenue model that is now captured and understood fully with Adaptive Planning. Pros The integrated single sign on (SSO) with Workday for ease of use was a great option for our organization. Cons Lack of integrated security with the Workday platform. Still needs work as many AI tools do, and I think that part was probably deployed too soon, tbh. Pros Little work to maintain after setup, data visualizations were pretty good! I really appreciated the planning and forecasting tools. Cons Setup took aaaaaaages. It’s best if you have someone take a certification class to do the setup if you can swing it. Cons Clunky and complicated UX that shows complete disregard for the user. If it can be simpler, it should. However, if I built a company and had to manage the information of my employees. I would not hesitate to utilize this platform to optimize the company. Pros I mainly used workday when I was working for FedEx. It was useful when organizing bank statements and schedules. Keeping up with benefits and Tax information was a plus as well. Cons The only thing I had an issue with was after the update of the workday; there was not a clear enough explanation of how to navigate the apps. It is reliable for me to use as a performance management software for budgeting. Pros The biggest pro about Workday Adaptive Planning is the easy to use dashboard as it offers a drag-and-drop functionality. This helps with making the dashboard easy to use for people with limited technical expertise. Pros Adaptive Planning is very sophisticated. There are so many ways models can be created, and it supports so many different versions which I love. I can create a forecast for every single GL account for every different department of the company. Cons First, the software is very slow for a company at around 1000 size. If you make even a slight forecast/formula update, it can take 30mins to an hour before you can start using it again. Also, the formulas are very difficult to learn. The formula assistant feature definitely helps, but the way the formula is structured, it's almost impossible to use without the assistant. They are treating us like a small fish. Makes me wonder how strategic more small non-profits like us matter to them. I think they are writing us off. Nightmare roll-out with the implementation partner. We fired them. Adaptive consultants are good but too expensive. Not great at eliciting requirements or managing the project. We considered such an approach not completely effective, so our choice turned next to Adaptive Insights. There are no restrictions on the size of the documents. This program is synchronized with other applications, including such important for us solutions like SAP and Oracle. We like the high accuracy of the reports we can create on the tool’s base. It is also important that all data are in one place and don’t require much effort for their processing and analysis. Adaptive Insights is a multifunctional tool with a robust and well-thought-out suite of features. This application allows our employees to track finances, budgets, sales, resources, and labor contribution. With its help, our company’s managers are also able to collect divergent data, make various kinds of reports, build models, and make optimal business decisions. Cons It would be better if Adaptive Insights had an opportunity to filter for specific months while working with spreadsheets. This lack of functionality makes our work a bit confusing sometimes. We wouldn’t mind adding more advanced features to the planning tools as well. We believe it would behoove this product if it had several tutorial videos on how to use it to the full extent. Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Great Product" September 15, 2016 5.0 We are going into our third budget cycle using Adaptive and it has made our process much more efficient. Prior to using Adaptive we played budget ping pong, bouncing spreadsheets back and forth and then once we landed on a final version the Finance team consolidated the numbers. Adaptive is great because you can see the impact of a change to the consolidated budget in real time. This is a great software for the Finance team as well as the budget / business managers. Pros There are many great features including: audit trails, notes, role permissions and security, the ability to quickly create versions, great technical support, and it’s cloud based. Cons There is a report builder in Adaptive and it’s easy to use. However, I do feel like they have focused on making improvements in other areas and the reporting hasn’t made as much progress. I do think this is one area that could use some improvements.
