Cons

Vaccine certificates don't contain all needed information. Customer service is next to impossible to contact now that there's a chatbot.

Pros

The customer support is the best! I love being able to talk to them and ask questions. Also, the software is constantly getting updated.

Cons

That you can't have 2 patients open at the same time in the same browser.

Going paperless has been one of my biggest fears and something I never believed I would ever do with my practice. I couldn't perceive how entering information into a computer for a patient's medical record could ever replicate the feel of having a physical chart in hand or even be able to effectively provide me with that information in the same way. I am a doctor who thoroughly records every little detail about the patient. Evetpractice has totally changed my mindset and turned me into a believer. Not only has it given me everything I need to effectively keep records and notations, it has provided me with a means to do even more than before with my charts and streamlined it all in such a way that is much more convenient and time efficient. All of our X-ray's, blood work, photos, etc... go straight into the patients record and can be easily pulled up for referral from anywhere that has internet access. The evet tech support is patient and goes out of their way to make things work. I had some concerns during the transition but Mel and the team were always there ready to help. There were a few migration issues that arose, i.e. discounts not moved over from the old software, inactivated clients were hidden in the new software and a few other small things; but, all in all went very smoothly especially considering we have a 10,000 client base that were moved over from a dated system. There are some things I would like to see changed and made more convenient in order to see results - fecals and OHW test being the main two. Overall the program is extremely user friendly and receives my highest recommendation.

Pros

Cloud based technology. Ease of use. User friendly

Cons

Doesn't generate reminder on its own. You have to create it at first. You need to create a smart version that will generate reminder based on the age of the animal.

Very good overall experience.

Pros

Easy to use. Fits the practice flow very well.

Cons

Some of the integration features were not able to set up. For example, Topaz integration for digital signing. Ideally would be great to integrate with digital radiographs as well.

evetpractice onboarding team is wonderful, aside from a terrible experience with syncing with their suggested credit card processor partner. They are there to help each step of the way! Note \*The evetpractice team, had nothing to do with this aside from the recommendation.\*

Pros

I love that the program is available where ever I am, especially in a mobile setting. No need for purchasing "sidekick programs" and such, all cloud based.

Cons

The task bar is very busy at the home screen. It seems this could be streamlined somehow.

Out of 3 Vet software's I have worked with, eVetPractice is by far the hardest to learn and navigate around.

Pros

Schedule is easy to read and it is not hard at all to schedule an appointment. Cashing out a client is easy as well.

Cons

Very difficult to navigate around when trying to find information on a pet / client.

We started off using another cloud based service and it was TERRIBLE. Looked at Vetter and eVetpractice and decided on the latter due to how easy it seemed and the customer service is FANTASTIC. I have some minor complaints, but compared to other platforms, I'm very happy with this decision for our practice.

Pros

Very straight forward, easy to learn and use.

Cons

Does not integrate with our radiology unit, would like to be able to customize some features

Poor, customer service was the worst. It wasn’t until I finally called and said I was leaving that they attempted to fix anything.

Pros

It was virtual, that was really it. The training was good.

Cons

I honestly never really liked it, it took me so much longer to put in records than any other software I have used. I just didn’t feel it was user friendly and not very customizable.

For someone that has been a veterinary hospital owner since 1995 I came to the conclusion that I just had to suffer with less than adequate veterinary practice software until my business partner came across eVetPractice late last year. And boy am I glad he did. I know for all practice owners and office managers changing practice software can be horrifying because we all hate change BUT that's eVetPractice's strong suit - ease of changeover because of absolutely OUTSTANDING customer service. Our story is simple, our software was crashing around us because our old vendor had not planned on the next iMac update and we had to switch in 1 week (yes 7 days!) and amazingly eVetPractice made it happen - conversion of old data, online training and the willingness to customize some reports that we simply couldn't do without. Am I happy? Hell yes! Do I want to tell my competitors? Hell no! But it is great software, very flexible, intuitive and easily customizable. Our record keeping is better but our doctors do go a little slower, but our medical records are much better which saves us all time in the long run, and since we've gone to EMR we haven't misplaced one file. The integration of lab work into the medical records also makes client communication much easier and better and my doctors love using the software from home to follow cases. I couldn't be happier and would be pleased to answer any questions a prospective user of this software would have. I'm on the Dean's Advisory Council at the Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine and I'm recommend they switch to eVetPractice - that's how much I like it.

Very disappointing and does not live up to its promises by sales, migration, or trainers.

Pros

We liked that it was cloud based so could remote in without paying for an extra service. We liked that you could use goggle dictation to help with notes.

Cons

We switched based on what we were told about being how all these integration features would allow us to be more efficient but in actuality it is not even close. This software was not designed to keep inventory and business in the forefront. Ordering/receiving is a nightmare due to backend design not linking. For being on the market as long as they have even the most basic features on other platforms needs to be an enhancement request.

Overall experience is great. It was easy to learn and integrated well.

Pros

Easy to manage. Being able to go from one screen to another quickly.

Cons

We as a group don't like how the program tracks open invoices. It's a little confusing when there is an account balance. When a payment is made, it goes toward the oldest invoice so it is hard to tell whats been paid on.

I enjoy the mobility with Evet. I can see my appointments on my phone or in office.

Pros

The ease of navigation from patient files, appointment scheduler, lab findings, charges is good. The customization is very helpful tp create a work flow that adapts to my practice. The support team has been stellar for all my questions.

Cons

I would appreciate the controlled drug log to be a bit more user friendly. It is hard to navigate if the patient has checked out and the amount was not entered correctly.
