Outside of the management aspect, Pulse is easy to use. The reporting and inventory are the biggest hang ups for me.

Pros

It is a user friendly model, the financial reports are always accurate, the scheduling system is easy to use and customizable.

Cons

It takes multiple steps to accomplish one task, the customer support lacks during the on board training, usage reports and inventory are not always accurate

### "Increased Price With No Explanation - 3 Months Later, No Answer"

On \[sensitive content hidden\], Covetrus Pulsa confirmed via email that our subscription rate would remain at $240. However, our April invoice reflected a charge of $276. Since then, I have followed up repeatedly—through email, voicemail, and LiveChat—without receiving an explanation or a refund. It is now July, and despite numerous attempts to resolve this issue, there has been no meaningful response. LiveChat representatives have been courteous but consistently state they are unable to assist with subscription issues and that the matter has been escalated. Yet, I have received no follow-up or resolution. This level of service is unacceptable. I was explicitly told the rate would not change, and I expect a clear explanation and correction of the overcharge immediately. I have invested significant time trying to resolve what should be a straightforward billing issue. Please address this promptly.

Pros

LiveChat representatives are always courteous and quick to respond. They are not always able to solve the problem, but are friendly and easy to work with.

Cons

Despite multiple attempts to resolve a billing issue—regarding a confirmed subscription rate that was not supposed to increase—I have yet to receive any explanation or update on a refund.

Mostly easy to use. I love that I can always get a quick answer to something if I don't know how to do something. That being said I don't like when they just send me a link for directions on how to do it. I need the hands on help.

Pros

cloud based. I like that there is always someone available to help us if we have a question.

Cons

There are a lot of little changes that would make our lives easier, and we have made requests for these each time we think of something. But is seems like when there are updates. they are big changes and too much at one time to adjust to. The documents templates upset me every time I have to make adjustments. You can have a document looking how you would like it to print and then when you go to print - it is nothing like you expected. spacing and paragraph wrapping can be way off.

I find it easy to learn, it's an upgrade as before we did not have a cloud base system but it also has a lot of kinks that could be fixed to have a smoother user experience.

It's okay. I do like it over Cornerstone, our previous system.

Pros

It is easy to navigate and does allow for easier transfer or charges or histories should a mistake occur

Cons

IT DOESN'T ALLOW RAPPORT OR ANY OTHER COMMUNICATION WRITE BACKS INTO A PET'S HISTORY. What is the point of us using Rapport/Covetrus Comms if it doesn't reflect in the patient's history?? IT DOESN'T ALLOW ME TO LINK MULTIPLE ITEMS TO A SERVICE. Instead of making 500 packages I should be able to add linked items to my services.

Love it! So much better than any PMS I've ever used.

Pros

I like that the platform is very customizable. There are certain things that you can do with this system that you cannot do with others. I love that there is a live chat option to get direct and quick support with any issues. Secondly, I like that there is a feature submission option which allows the people who actually use the platform to have a direct hand in new features that could be put into the system.

Cons

The system can be quite complex which is great, but also frustrating when it takes 15 steps to one thing.

As with new technology, there are adjustments but I can say that the change has been well worth it.

Pros

As an ambulatory practice, I am seldom in my office to do office things, like price adjustments. With Pulse I can make these changes in the field and they become active across the whole practice immediately. Also, being able to work live in the field the office sees my invoices immediately and can provide clients with accurate balances in real time.

Cons

Connecting to the internet in the field is an issue but more of an inconvenience.

The ease of access and use. The reports features make my life a lot easier. My tech's also love how everything is much easier to access.

No access to an app feature yet. I think it would be amazing if there was an IOS app.

We like it for the most part. We've had it a year and still struggle sometimes but we'll figure it out or we call if need be.

Pros

Being able to have all patient and client info available at a quick glance. We came from paper charts for most of it and invoicing off a program

Cons

No internet, no use. Makes it hard to charge people out, put in notes, or even function. Not a fan of the accounting part of it. Just a little confusing but not a big deal.

The onboarding team (\[sensitive content hidden\] ) have been so helpful, responsive and understanding. I feel supported as we take on the new PIMS and going paperless at the same time.

Pros

User friendly and has a lot of functionality

Cons

1\. Conversion - pricing/packages/bundles corrupted so a lot of back end work to get ready 2. Not able to round up services/products to a quarter/half dollar/dollar. If I change the price to be an even number it loses the mark-up which is not ideal 3. Not able to add 2 inventory items to one product - have to create packages. This is confusing at cash out because team can see product, inventory and package. Hard to know which to choose. 4. The fact that inventory and service show when you have to create packages.

Overall it has been positive. Would like more out of the client campaigns.

Pros

Easy system to learn and maneuver. Creating packages and procedure was easy and helpful.

Cons

I feel that client campaigns (SMS, email and post card) could be better as far as formatting and ease of use. I was told that I could not do text campaigns through Pulse and had to use Rapport. Rapport and Pulse don't syce well.

We felt like we were oversold how great the system is. It was a nightmare switching from Avimark to Pulse. We switched 3 years ago and are still trying to figure things out in Pulse.

Pros

It's cloud based, and it can be accessed from anywhere

Cons

The reporting, the lack of training, lack of support and features (we have 3 clinics and I feel we should have been informed about going the Enterprise route) Some of the features they have access to would be great. We have to manually fix things and it is tedious and time consuming.

Searching for documents attached. When searching for patients sometimes you are not able to find them. Also files are easily deleted by accident or just disappear sometimes making it hard to schedule.

Overall it is a good experience, minus the set backs listed above.

Pros

The fact that employees can access Covetrus while at home to complete notes, or do other work. The program for the most part is very user friendly and easy to use.

Cons

The "history" screen often takes too long to load making it very inefficient to enter notes. I liked the old "history" screen where the reminders could still be seen at the top of the page for reference. Now we have to completely exit the page, go back to the main medical page for that patient, in order to see the reminders. The little pop ups every time a note is entered "this has been saved" is very annoying and serves no purpose, it just needs to save so I can continue on the to the next thing. The whole thing is just inefficient. Also, when a credit card is deleted from WP, it does not trigger missed payments or accrue the missed payments. I have to go in and run a report weekly to catch these and fix it.

The ability to utilize the software away from office

Not good software for boarding and grooming facilities. Too many steps. Not user friendly at all. I still cannot select more than one pet in a family for any services. You have to select each pet and make a reservation or grooming appointment. We are so busy and this is very time consuming. Really super unhappy that the integrated credit card service does not have a tip line on the terminal (I am not asking a person prior to running the cc if they want to tip). Your software was highly recommended by your sister comany Impromed. We used their software for 20 plus years - they have excellent software for boarding/grooming-you might take a look see at it for "enhancements". We were at the point where we had to buy a new server from Impromed and after talking to their sales team we felt like we should give Pulse a try. We regret not staying with Impromed. After all the time we have invested switching over we are sticking with Pulse because we've been told over and over the boarding module will be improved and that you are actively working on it. I am really beginning to wonder. So again, not a great review. You have the potential for sure but it's frustrating working with Pulse software.

Doctor notes don’t take much time at all.

Cons

A lot. The inventory side of the program is atrocious. The software seems way too inefficient with more than necessary steps to get things done appropriately. Also, very frustrating that if you change your exam template it changes past completed notes.

There is a learning curve. The invoicing and accounting system is a bit complex and difficult to explain to clients. Overall, information is easy to find is easy to find, transferring patients and clients is simple. Definitely a useful program.

Pros

The amount of customization available is helpful, information on patient visits is organized and easily acessed, adding documents is simple and fast

Cons

Some processes are time consuming like boarding check in/out and the addition/subtraction of services once they have been sent to invoice.

The ease of use. Finding medical records, inputting information, etc. is very easy.

Cons

Need more options for mass updating inventory/labs/services. Would work better if it was laid out like an editable spreadsheet. It is clunky to have to click edit on each item, edit, then save and close before moving on.

As time goes on I’m not getting as frustrated with it. So I guess good.

Pros

I like that it is cloud base and I can access it from home.

Cons

It takes two many clicks to get what I’m looking for. On the checkout part the reminders should be on that screen. And the reminders should be color coded just like it is in Avimak. It needs to be more like Avimark. There should also be a rescheduled button so you don’t have to cancel the appointment and go back into the medical record to make new appointments. It’s just a lot of back and forth.
