Overall working with pulse has been great. Its easy to use and we don't have to worry about servers being down. We have internet- we have Pulse.

Pros

I love that Pulse is easy to navigate through the site and can be accessed from anywhere since it is cloud based. No installations required!

Cons

The transition from DVMax to Pulse was rather tricky and the records that have transferred over look wonky.

Switched from

DVMax's servers went down too frequently and being 24/7 emergency hospital was unacceptable. We needed something cloud based.

I truly find Pulse to be a significantly inferior operating software. Every time the company updates the program - it seems like more options fail to work. After the most recent update, now the patient search and find options just don't work any more. I really wish we could more easily change our software - working with Pulse is one of the most tedious, time consuming and frustrating parts of my day.

Pros

It is a cloud based software, but that is one of the few benefits. Most of the updates seem to make the system slower and more difficult to use.

Cons

We have been using Pulse for 5 years now. I am frustrated with the software on a daily basis. It is an extremely slow interface ( much time wasted waiting for software to respond), there are many options that don't work correctly ( search functions, refilling prescriptions, writing notes ). I generally find the software exhausting to use - so many mouse clicks are required to accomplish even the most simple tasks, navigating from patient file to entering charges to checking out patients is extremely inefficient.

Much better than previously stated but I'm still having to figure things out without support. In fact my recent experience with World Pay and our credit card terminals still has me and the two \[sensitive content hidden\] very upset and concerned that we are being told how we must receive credit card payments and the lack of terminal receipts and end of day balancing. We have lost control of OUR business as it pertains to Credit Cards.

Pros

Client interface and lab functions are still the best and I do like the client communications to some degree.

Cons

Still way too many button clicks in order to get anything done. I don't like that Client Communications, formerly Rapport doesn't go into the Medical Record without intervention. This should be a communication that is easier to put right in the MR.

Pros

We do like how accessible the program is out in the field. We are a mobile practice, so we are more often than not stallside when needing to pull up the patient's history.

Cons

The patient search function is not useful. We could type in the first 3-5 letters of a horse's name and it won't show the horse on the list of patients to choose from. When we are in a patient's file, click quick invoicing, it kicks us to the top of the owners list of horses instead of bringing us right to the patient's file we were just in. That gets frustrating.

Outside of the management aspect, Pulse is easy to use. The reporting and inventory are the biggest hang ups for me.

I wish I never chose the software and was embarrassed that this was the choice our company went with getting out of the contract was the best thing that we did.

Pros

Covetrus pulse was supposed to be a plug-in play easy way to transition from cornerstone to a cloud based software, but it did not live up to the expectations. I honestly cannot think of one positive thing about the software and was relieved when we finally ended our contract with them.

Cons

Covetrus pulse was bulky and hard to use, but even harder to set up. Our data migration from cornerstone came over in all the wrong categories and miss labeled support staff as doctors among other things. It was a headache and the support team at Covetrus was less than helpful.

Overall a good program. I appreciate they have lots of training videos, and live support. It makes it easy training new employees. Overall user friendly as well

Pros

Covetrus has several programs that integrate with it, and they are always adding more features. They are also a beta program, and allow customers to make suggestions

Cons

Sometimes it can be frustrating with the limitations of the types of reports they offer to track revenue. If I want to track how many dental packages we do, we have to add up all the revenue ourselves.

On \[sensitive content hidden\], Covetrus Pulsa confirmed via email that our subscription rate would remain at $240. However, our April invoice reflected a charge of $276. Since then, I have followed up repeatedly—through email, voicemail, and LiveChat—without receiving an explanation or a refund. It is now July, and despite numerous attempts to resolve this issue, there has been no meaningful response. LiveChat representatives have been courteous but consistently state they are unable to assist with subscription issues and that the matter has been escalated. Yet, I have received no follow-up or resolution. This level of service is unacceptable. I was explicitly told the rate would not change, and I expect a clear explanation and correction of the overcharge immediately. I have invested significant time trying to resolve what should be a straightforward billing issue. Please address this promptly.

Pros

LiveChat representatives are always courteous and quick to respond. They are not always able to solve the problem, but are friendly and easy to work with.

Cons

Despite multiple attempts to resolve a billing issue—regarding a confirmed subscription rate that was not supposed to increase—I have yet to receive any explanation or update on a refund.

It was great when it was eVette Practice. Covetrus will not stop with the ineffiecient updates that continually slow the software to a crawl.

As with new technology, there are adjustments but I can say that the change has been well worth it.

Pros

As an ambulatory practice, I am seldom in my office to do office things, like price adjustments. With Pulse I can make these changes in the field and they become active across the whole practice immediately. Also, being able to work live in the field the office sees my invoices immediately and can provide clients with accurate balances in real time.

Cons

Connecting to the internet in the field is an issue but more of an inconvenience.
