Pros: It is robust and rich in features making it very accommodating to hosting company needs. Its automation of processes and services is on its own league as that it requires is proper set up and your good to go.

Cons: Some modules and extensions are a bit expensive but worth it.
Editing of some file is nearly impossible and takes time for you to understand how the back-end system works and can be customized.

Pros: Been using it for 5 years now, I can manage my servers with ease and I can set up different features of software I want to use. Whenever I need support, I can write a ticket and I get help really fast.

Cons: Although the customer support are great but you have to go through multiple steps starting with submitting a ticket, responding to questions in the ticket response if you want to change anything even the very small things.

Pros: Its wide variety of features that allow for many add-ons to the system depending on the users needs.
The automation (once setup perfectly) allows users to control and maintain countless products and services easily and efficiently as all the details on specifics are easily accessible from the administrative user accounts.
Very efficient accounting features i.e. invoice generation, email setup and SMS feature just to mention a few that once configured with the proper cron jobs allow for easy and professional host-to-client communication.
The encryption by IONCUBE ensures very good security on the important files thus thoroughly reducing insecurity issues such as hacking.

Cons: Most of the best add-ons are not free and require constant renewals.
The branding of the system (but this mostly depends on the license purchased). It should consider the uprising businesses (SMEs).

Overall: 1. Great GUI. Simple enough to make sure the user has an easy time accessing the many features easily.
2. Great automation options that let the system do most of the 'leg work' and the user's role is limited to only monitoring and so allowing for more time for them to concentrate on marketing of the features.
3. Has adequate security features to allow for secure transactions between the clients and the system with minimal or no exploitation gaps
4. Great notification systems to allow for an automated and easy communication to clients.

Pros: The fact that you can manage all your servers, hosting, domain and emails from one place
Friendly interface
Professional customer support

Cons: Long learning curve, you might need to open some tickets, chat with support and even call them to get the set up right

Makes our lives easier

Cons: If you are new to WHMCS you will find it a bit hard at the beginning to deal with all the features then you will get familiar easily

Pros: It's simple enough to configure. There are a LOT of options and possibilites. Integrates perfectly with payment methods and servers, makes my life as hosting provider VERY simple.

Cons: It takes a little time to get used to the interface. It's simple but there is a learning curve. There are so many options that it can be a little overwhelming.

Overall: It helped me to run my hosting business.

Pros: Back in 2014, as I was looking for a CRM platform that could handle hosting customers, WHMCS was the way to go. As my company grew, it was time to invest in add-ons, like integrating Zendesk, Freshdesk and Google Suite reseller portal with our system. ModulesGarden provided us the necessary functionality, but as their policy changed to SaaS, our annual costs raised by over 600%.

Without doubt, WHMCS is a great platform. But without the necessary functionality, larger companies will have to invest.

Cons: Price, design and functionality. The admin panel looks outdated, their price policy has changed and the functionality needs improvement. I definitely recommend WHMCS to other my colleagues, but it's not perfect.

Pros: Support System actually works, easy to communicate with the ticket system. We HIGHLY recommend using another software.

Cons: Monopoly Based Software Zero Support 9 days to respond to tickets Code locked down tight (Force Partner Services) Tries to sell partners development services instead of actually helping with their strict encoding files. Way to pricey for the support they offer with it. Which is zero.

WHMCS is a good all-around product at a very affordable price point.

Pros: WHMCS provides all the basic functionality that a typical CRM software should. It works very well as a generalist software.

Cons: The software is a very generalist software, I would like to see it be a little more advanced. Each module is rather basic and it would be nice to see a little more detail and focus be put into them.

Overall: We use it for a CRM software with the focus being Client list, Billing, Support.

Pros: You can automate and configure many processes of your company such as payments, customer support, emails sending, you can create digital products and configure them to give access to customers. It has so many tools. Basically i use it because I work with customer service. It has a tickets system with which you can answer to customers, follow-up cases, assign the case to another team member for solution. It's easier to communicate with customer using WHCMS's predefined answers. You save a lot of time. It allows you to bill customers and automate payments every month, every year, as you prefer. If you have a web hosting business this may be very usefull for you. It also allows fully automated hosting account setup and management with domains.

Cons: As cons i must say it's not too intuitive, it you will need to read the documentation in order to do some tasks.

Pros: Pricing is good. Auto invoicing is good. Auto reminders for late payments is good and easy to turn on/off.

Cons: We have had this product for a long time and have been frustrated with the complexity of the simple things that are needed. If you have a problem, even a simple problem like you need to update the credit card on file, you have to go through multiple steps starting with submitting a ticket, responding to questions in the ticket response, ... expect to go back and forth numerous times for any need regardless of how small. There are two logins - one for the account and one for your actual platform. Tickets go into one login but the area of need is nearly always in the other one. Basic items like the credit card update should be easy to do and not require the initiation of a support ticket taking hours or in our case many days to resolve while invoices wait for updates to be made.

Pros: Customizability, first grade support, import/export features, the new upgrade-in-place feature, invoicing features, the new marketplace.

Cons: cPanel features are a bit more refined than Plesk that we use, the cart procedure could be simplified.

Overall: You install it, you forget it. It's completely automated.

Pros: I like all of the options that it offers as well as that it is web based.

Cons: It can be complicated to use at times.

Overall: The whole system could be much simpler than what it is. Sometimes it's difficult to understand how to perform certain functions within the software where there are some competitors that make the same process much easier.

Recommendations to other buyers: I would like to see them integrate natively with more payment gateways as well as simplify their whole software package.

Comments: We currently have a valid license of WHMCS.

The all in one solution for a web hosting business, very easy to use after a few plays with the configuration. It's the best yet WHMCS has terrible support.

Comments: WHMCS handles our needs very well, but with that said it does lack in other areas. While it is perfect for website hosting companies if you sell any products besides web hosting you are going to have to play a great deal to tweak it to work for you.

Additionally, it does have its fair share of hiccups now and then with things like activating and deactivating accounts. Support for WHMCS is not as great as it once was - expect about a 2 to 3 day turn around unless you pay for faster service. Forums are helpful if you run into issues.

Comments: WHMCS is the solid service/product in the hosting business due to its functionality and the reasonable pricing. Have had an experience of using it few times on client's platform and I would say it has an extensive functionality however it might be quite confusing and not easy to administrate and set up the system in the beginning for the newbie users. Though, personally, for me, I prefer it over Hostbill (Been using it for 1+ year) in regards to a frequency of updating. WHMCS stuff should be working very well as any bug report is basically fixed in a week time frame! Furthermore, WHMCS by the perspective of Admin Panel and Front/back-end interface is superior to all products out there.
All in all, WHMCS is the solid system that is reasonably having a solid and respectable place in Automation Platforms.
