It is also hard to trust such a morally bankrupt company. Pros It does integrate well with cPanel and domain registries. Cons There are so many issues with WHMCS, including support. Also there are now additional sneaky fees that were not agreed to. We purchased a lifetime license and then WHMCS discontinued the license, increased prices 800% and offered no refund. Cons MIgrating to another server can be a challenge, especially if the server has different hosting specifications like moving from Apache to Nginx . Pros It is one of the most stable and efficient hosting control panels that exist, it is the most used by hosting providers, which means that it is a very good commercial panel to sell hosting. Cons It will not work on servers with very few resources, it needs a lot of resources to run the panel interface compared to other control panels. The software takes care of customer registration, service provision, and support ticketing to help keep things on track Pros I liked how WHMCS handled every aspect of the hosting experience. From billing to service provision, WHMCS automated a lot of the work required to keep things running smoothly. Cons I'm not a big fan of the new license structure and/or tiers. It's user interface is clean, client management is easy and it's integration with cPanel is flawless (its saved me countless hours). WHMCS is easy to setup and its licensing model is simple and affordable. A wide range of payment methods are also available and the software can be used for development licensing too which is pretty cool! Cons It's difficult to find a negative when considering WHMCS. Years of development by a dedicated team and community has results in significant improvements. My only suggestion would be to improve its development licensing system. While it works, there are improvements to be made. However it is worth pointing out that this isn't the standard purpose of the software. Review Source Giorgi G. Have had an experience of using it few times on client's platform and I would say it has an extensive functionality however it might be quite confusing and not easy to administrate and set up the system in the beginning for the newbie users. Though, personally, for me, I prefer it over Hostbill (Been using it for 1+ year) in regards to a frequency of updating. WHMCS stuff should be working very well as any bug report is basically fixed in a week time frame! Furthermore, WHMCS by the perspective of Admin Panel and Front/back-end interface is superior to all products out there. All in all, WHMCS is the solid system that is reasonably having a solid and respectable place in Automation Platforms. Auto reminders for late payments is good and easy to turn on/off. Cons We have had this product for a long time and have been frustrated with the complexity of the simple things that are needed. If you have a problem, even a simple problem like you need to update the credit card on file, you have to go through multiple steps starting with submitting a ticket, responding to questions in the ticket response, ... expect to go back and forth numerous times for any need regardless of how small. There are two logins - one for the account and one for your actual platform. Tickets go into one login but the area of need is nearly always in the other one. Basic items like the credit card update should be easy to do and not require the initiation of a support ticket taking hours or in our case many days to resolve while invoices wait for updates to be made. Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Great tool for automate your business" September 29, 2017 4.0 Pros You can automate and configure many processes of your company such as payments, customer support, emails sending, you can create digital products and configure them to give access to customers. It has so many tools. Basically i use it because I work with customer service. It has a tickets system with which you can answer to customers, follow-up cases, assign the case to another team member for solution. It's easier to communicate with customer using WHCMS's predefined answers. You save a lot of time. It allows you to bill customers and automate payments every month, every year, as you prefer. If you have a web hosting business this may be very usefull for you. It also allows fully automated hosting account setup and management with domains. Cons As cons i must say it's not too intuitive, it you will need to read the documentation in order to do some tasks. Many payments gateways are already integrated just have to setup API to start accepting payments. Cons The slowest customer services I've experienced till today, whenever I face issue I know they will take one week to respond and fix my issues then i rather go to public forums and ask them for help.
