Overall it is one of the best platforms I have used. Pros Functional and User-friendly. The database is set for multiple job orders. Easy job posting capabilities. The dashboard is clean, and it's easy to track candidates at every stage. Better quality candidate pool than most larger highly advertised recruitment platforms. The yearly subscription price is a steal. Cons I have had no issues or problems with Workable since I started with them two years ago. Customer support is great as well. Always on top. Both Breezy and Resume Library had low cost but I went on a trial basis and Resume Library had almost zero candidate for 10 job openings. August 7, 2025 5.0 Workable has been a lifesaver for our org! We are a human services nonprofit with hard to fill roles and a very small recruitment team. Workable has allowed our structure to be successful and sustainable by allowing hiring managers to be easily trained and have tools for communication with candidates at their fingertips. I switched from Greenhouse to Workable. We also considered a couple of other tools before deciding on Workable, although I don't remember their names. I use Workable for recruitment purposes, including tracking candidates and managing them through different stages. I find the requisitions and hiring plan features beneficial, and the reports are helpful despite some inaccuracies. Guided onboarding also made the setup process smoother. Pros I find Workable indispensable for our recruitment process. It enables efficient candidate tracking, ensuring no one is overlooked and helping manage recruitment stages seamlessly. I appreciate the requisitions and hiring plan features and find the reports helpful most of the time. Additionally, the guided onboarding made the transition much easier and customer service stands out as excellent support. Cons The initial setup was challenging due to the data transfer from Greenhouse to Workable, which involved thousands of candidates and different scorecards. It's really good. I've been renewing it for the last three years. Would definitely recommend for startups. Pros Workable is a really complete ATS that you can easily customize. Its automation and its integrations work great. Apart from Google Calendar, it really is a huge time saver for managing a lot of interviews that are at the startups. I think it's really customizable which is appreciated and the pricing is reasonable for startups. Cons Most of the integrations are really good, apart from the Google calendar. Generating calendar links for multiple people is possible, but really, really hard to do and not very stable. That's the only pretty negative thing I have to say. All the rest was really good. What really stands out is the excellent support from their customer success team - always responsive and helpful. I used Workable a few years ago at a previous company, and I was positively surprised by how much the platform has evolved since then. A wide range of new features were added - that truly enhance the recruitment process: more automation options, detailed reportings, and video interviews. Overall, a great solution for fast-scaling teams. Highly recommend! Cons There’s not much to dislike. One issue we had was that some system settings seemed to change without us realizing, which led to situations where candidates who withdrawn from the process still received automated rejection emails. However, once we flagged it, the customer support team was quick to help us resolve it. Aside from that, everything has been working really well. I like the tool a whole lot more than any of the other ATS I've used. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Workable. Pros We used another ATS for a year before onboarding Workable. Our previous ATS was not user friendly and we needed a tool that would be easy to use and train hiring managers on. From my first call with the Workable team, I knew this was the tool for us. Workable allows for a seamless collaboration between the recruiters and team leads. So many of the features built in are incredibly useful and allow for a great candidate experience. We are excited to see the new features that Workable brings to the platform as they are always trying to improve the tool. Cons I Think the AI candidate scoring needs some work. I know this feature is rather new and AI is improving everyday, but this is the one thing I think needs more work. The AI scoring on most candidates is off and not relevant. Made a lot of improvements over the years, bringing in AI wherever needed and making it more user friendly. I did face issues with automation not going right but over time, it was fixed and improvements were made. Overall, I had a positive and growing experience with Workable, and I'm still using Workable. Pros Workable has a good platform, dashboard and reporting features. The job posting was made really easy, integrating AI into this made it easier to catch mistakes and create JDs. The use of AI to find the right candidates is helpful; we can judge based on it and review it better. We could bring in any team member to review profiles and add their reviews. So communication was made simpler. The job ads can be shared or used internally so everything was very secure and no data was lost or shared unnecessarily. The candidates' interviews were smooth with feedback internally and communication with the candidates externally was done on the same platform. Workable is connected to right external job platforms so we get the right candidates and a lot of them as well. The automations gave us more time to spend elsewhere. I did interact with customer support but not very often, which goes to say that their product is really good. But everytime I did have a problem, it was resolved quickly with good follow ups so customer support was really good. Overall for any company, Workable is a good value for money Cons I faced some issues with automation and integration not working according to our requirements but they were fixed or made it more easier to access and create. I feel that the number of options for disqualification is a lot and we have to select everytime individually. If it could be made more generalized or in a different way, it would be better. Both my recruiters and hiring managers picked it up quickly without any hand-holding. Implementation was fast, with no need for IT involvement, so our HR and recruitment teams could get moving right away. The ability to collaborate directly in the hiring plan keeps decisions moving without scheduling more meetings. From my perspective as a leader, the monthly spotlight recaps are valuable. They surface the right information at a glance, user permissions that may need updating, candidate pipeline stats, time-to-fill, without me having to dig through reports. Cons It would be great if we could create custom candidate assessments directly in Workable so everything lives in one place. Reporting could also be easier to work with and offer more real-time triggers, like flagging when a candidate has been sitting in one stage for too long. The interview assessment section could use some upgrades. Without scoring or qualification options, it’s harder to compare candidates side-by-side. And in the archived jobs area, being limited to alphabetical sorting is frustrating. Having filters for date posted, department, or location would make it much faster to find past roles. Pros I've used Workable at my current company and at my last employer, so over 5+ years now. I've used other ATS platforms previously and I find Workable super simple to use in terms of viewing jobs, candidates, reports and being able to move through the entire hiring process in a seamless and slick way. I love the team collaboration in that hiring managers can raise a new requisition, it goes through to Finance for approval, I can begin hiring and once we've offered the candidate the role I can send their employment contract via Workable and it then integrates with our HRIS and onboarding can begin. I am unsure if many other ATS platforms offer this complete end-to-end process which we find incredibly beneficial for a smooth experience for our candidates. Being able to set up all templates and schedule candidate interviews where the system integrates calendars makes it simple and easy when you are working on multiple roles with hundreds of candidates. Customer Support are very responsive, willing to help, friendly and solve questions quickly. Cons When I first started using Workable there was limited filtering options to sort through circa. 800+ applications, which was painfully time consuming and as someone who likes to ensure a fair candidate experience, I would need to look through every application and get back to every single candidate. Now they've introduced more filtering options like specific skills searches, key words, locations etc, this really saves time on shortlisting. Of course, there's always room for improvement nevertheless, we've been able to grow our team with the help of Workable. Pros I really like its ease of use for our organization's recruitment team as well as for the whole company as well. Its features are very straightforward and the automations are quite a big help to a growing team. We decided to use Workable for its integrations with our existing tools. Cons As we are a fast growing company, there's a lot of information stored in the system which might contribute to it slowing down. Resumes and profiles take some time to load which contributes to screening taking longer than it should be. The website works well, mostly without any bugs, the user interface is clean, and it makes it relatively easy for our team to manage our applicants, even for those of us who are not tech-savvy. We have never had any issues with the safety of our data, as the website gives us varied security features to grant different privilege levels to our team members, and as far as we're informed, there have never been any leaks. The features for team collaboration are decent enough to support most of our needs, though they don't fully cover all of our needs. Cons When it comes to the value for the money we invest in the website, I'd say we're considerably disappointed. Workable has introduced many new features, none of which have had any utility for the work we do. When we contacted the customer support, they tend to be friendly and reply quickly, but many of our requests have not been solved, and some of them have been flat-out denied – disappointing considering the high the high investment in terms of money. They've stated that our team's traffic on their website is unlike any of their other clients, and yet, they haven't made any effort to implement very simple features that we requested, such as making a form mandatory. From employer perspective, super easy to track the status and talent pool for each role/channel. Pros The easiness to search within the platform by key words (candidate name, role, etc.) and followup directly within the platofrm and via integration with outside platform e.g. G-suite. Cons none. But i do hope that in the near future they could come up with an advanced feature to produce all Workable records re a certain candidate into a separate folder for the purpose of record keeping. The platform is clean, intuitive, and works well for reactive hiring with clear visibility over candidates’ progress. However, its limitations become more obvious at scale or when trying to move toward a more proactive, data-driven, or automated recruitment model. Reporting is only powerful when paired with BI tools, and it lacks flexibility for talent pooling, CRM-style outreach, and custom workflows per region. This creates manual workarounds and slows down strategic initiatives like internal mobility, long-term candidate engagement, or region-specific hiring processes. Pros Clean, intuitive UI for both recruiters and hiring managers. Visual hiring stages help you track progress easily. Email and texting features allow you to message candidates directly in-platform. Templates save time and ensure consistency across outreach. Cons Limited Reporting Functionality (Without BI Add-On) Native reports are quite basic and not very flexible. We rely on the BI data link + Power BI to get deeper insights, which adds complexity and cost. Interview scheduling, especially for multi-stage panels or group interviews, can be clunky.
