### "Our company couldn't live without Zapier"

November 3, 2022

5.0

Pros

It's very easy to use, so anyone can create a new automation without hassle.

Cons

There are some integrations missing and it charges for each task, so the price can increase exponentially depending on how you build each automation.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Zapier

Zapier is easier to use than make, with almost the same number of integrations.

### "Must Have for Busy (and Lazy, in a good way) People"

September 7, 2021

5.0

Back then we used to pull 2-3 people if we have urgent need to go over a data. For example, when we had an issue with 200+ orders, we had to suspend half of our customer service team to work on extracting and correcting the data and placing the order one more time. With Zapier, we were able to create a zap that will do just that and in minutes, we were able to solve this problem.

Pros

Zapier Zaps are easy to connect and set up. It allowed us to connect multiple web apps - extracting, transforming, and loading data anywhere from our billing, CRM, and collaboration apps. It even works in Slack so any high priority tasks or actions will be flagged and get notified via Slack.

Cons

I couldn't think of any. It just works for our needs. We can create as many zaps as we can and automate repetitive and redundant work between our systems.

### "Zapier helps small teams do more"

June 20, 2022

5.0

Stable and well worth it

Pros

Zapier allows our small team to automate parts of the organization that saves time and money.

Cons

Some features are locked behind higher-tier plans. It's not worth upgrading for us for those features, but I feel like they are superficially locked behind a higher-tier plan. It makes sense to upgrade a plan because of using more inquiries/zaps, but otherwise it's not. Zapier is also only as good as your third party integration (if applicable). Some third party integrations have poor support and so the Zap becomes unreliable.

### "The powerhouse behind automating your business"

November 27, 2022

4.0

Running a small business requires multiple pieces of software performing different tasks. Zapier has allowed me to reduce the hours I was focussed on admin and processes to free up my time to build my business

Pros

The integration that Zapier has with nearly every other piece of software is Zapier's secret weapon. It allows you to let all the pieces of your business talk to each other, meaning that you are not wasting your time manually updating each piece of software as things happen within your business.

Cons

There is a small learning curve when you start with Zapier and I sometimes find trouble-shooting tricky if an issue pops up with a process but I always find that it was an error with my set up rather than the functionality of the software.

### "Great integration and automation"

February 3, 2022

5.0

I use Zapier to automate across app integrations when specific events happen in one app.

Pros

It’s very easy to set up zaps with apps and automate across apps using their integrations. You’re even able to create custom integrations, when you pay for a premium account, using webhooks.

Cons

The team level plans are very steep if you’re just trying to get started using it as a team.

### "The gluing agent of automation throughout my whole business."

May 21, 2018

5.0

Hours saved on productivity weekly. Allows automation of most simple tasks and if you have a notification system set up in Slack then it allows you constantly keep track of the heartbeat of your business. Simply awesome.

Pros

Where do I even start. Using Zapier feels like building lego as a kid, only this time it's for productivity reasons and the more you understand it, the crazier you can get. When I select a new software to integrate into the business, having Zapier is a key requirement due to our reliance on it. Some of the things I've automated: - Contractor applications (Google Forms, Trello, Slack) - Daily task cards (Launch27, Trello, Slack, Google Sheets) - Text Messaging (Slack, Trello) - Many more Its important when trying to automate business processes that its providing value, and you're not doing it "for the sake of it". Automate to the point where there are no outlier possibilities then have manual intervention from there until a more robust automation method can push it further. Zapier has been amazing, is intuitive and has saved us hours and hours per week.

Cons

Can be a little finicky in set up, however I realize this may be an issue with the 3rd party's API rather than Zapier itself. Once it's set up it usually works fine and alerts you if there are any errors. Overall, no real complaints and documentation is usually pretty good (with some google searching of course)

### "Connect everything with everything"

February 19, 2024

4.0

Good, I use it because it's integrated with so many other platforms, but I have to be honest. Many times I just use it as a webhook and from there on I call Make to handle the rest of the flow since it's much more intuitive and stable.

Pros

Zapier has a lot of integrations, which makes it the go-to platform if you need to connect your software solutions. Most likely your software solution is already setup for you in zapier, so it understands what you want to do like adding a new row, updating a contact, creating a new meeting etc.

Cons

The interface is not as nice as Make, which I like a lot more as well as the fact that error handling is a nightmare in Zapier.

### "My first experience with process automation"

February 20, 2023

5.0

Pros

This was my first experience with RPA and worfklow automation, and it probably was the best choice. Very nice UX and easy to setup, therefore I was able to get results and sucessful automations very fast. This build confidence to explore more complex automations, and allowed me to achieve very positive ROI on boring recurring processess.

Cons

At the time of my experience, there was no native email parsing capabilities, not sure if it will ever have it. It did integrate very nicelly with third party solutions, but at an added cost (from the third party).

### "Works great, but it's super expensive and there are cheaper options out there"

February 11, 2023

5.0

After trying Zapier during its trial period, I decided to cancel my subscription and switch to a cheaper option. Despite its popularity, I found the high cost of Zapier to be a significant drawback, and I was not willing to pay such a premium for its services. I ultimately went with a different integration platform that offered more features for a fraction of the cost, and I have been very satisfied with my decision. The new platform has met all of my integration needs, and I have not experienced any issues with its functionality or performance. Overall, I am glad that I made the switch, as I have been able to save a significant amount of money while still getting the results I need.

Pros

Zapier is an exceptional integration platform that streamlines the process of connecting various web applications. It's a powerful tool that helps businesses automate tedious and repetitive tasks, freeing up time and resources for more important work. One of the standout features of Zapier is its ability to integrate with nearly every solution on the market. Whether it's a productivity app, a customer relationship management (CRM) tool, or a financial management platform, Zapier has you covered. This makes it an indispensable tool for businesses of all sizes, as it allows them to bring all of their favorite tools together in one place.Another great thing about Zapier is how quickly it works. Setting up integrations is a breeze, and once they're up and running, they work seamlessly in the background. This is crucial for businesses that rely on timely and accurate data to make informed decisions, as it eliminates the need for manual data entry and reduces the risk of human error.

Cons

Compared to other integration platforms on the market, Zapier is significantly more expensive, and for many businesses (especially solo's like me), this can be a major drawback. There are many other solutions available that offer much more for a lot less money, and this can be a tough pill to swallow for those who are looking for an affordable solution to their integration needs.

### "Great tool for automating workflows between systems."

September 12, 2017

5.0

Time spent sharing data from one system to another. It also makes it easy for us to aggregate data into a central location, making reporting more accessible to individuals who don't have access to all of our systems company wide. It has also helped us save time when managing tasks that need to be done, so that information stays up-to-date across multiple platforms.

Pros

I love how easy it is to create a Zap. I can move data from one system to another and all of the work is done on the back end. This has allowed our teams to collaborate more efficiently, as well as turn data into a visual process. For example, some form entries are turned into cards on Trello where we can visually track the progress to completion for specific tasks. Zapier provides lots of pre-built Zaps, and it is fairly straight forward to create Zaps for almost any system a company would use. This tool has saved me and my team a LOT of time.

Cons

Sometimes it can take a while to map out the fields from one system to another. You have to select which column header to use in a Google doc when you are having a Zap dump data into a Google Worksheet. That drop down list can get quite unwieldy, especially because the full length of the column header won't show up in Zapier. Also, if the column headers were alphabetized it would be easier to find the header you are looking for or aligned in the same order as the worksheet I am syncing them over to.

### "Zapier adds value to all of my other software by putting the polish on all of my web-based systems"

August 8, 2017

5.0

We use several SAAS solutions in our day-to-day operations. Zapier is the glue that holds it all together. The automation that we've been able to implement through Zapier is what gives the impression of a slick, unified system. It has allowed us to continue improving by using the best features from a wide array of software to build a customized system that works the way we want it to without having to enlist our own team of developers. I used to run into roadblocks with software and think, "Gee, I wish I could just..." With Zapier, I actually can.

Pros

Zapier is exceptionally easy to use. I started by playing around with a few of the hundreds of suggested Zaps, but it didn't take long to get the gist and start building from scratch. I use Zapier to send automated emails triggered by software that either doesn't offer that option natively or doesn't give me as much customization as I want. The result has been increased communication coming out of my office with far less time commitment to make it happen. With budgets what they are these days, I'm constantly being asked to do more with less. Zapier has made that possible. Another unexpected plus is that I've discovered other great software through Zapier. I've got a favorite relational database. I've got a favorite web form. I've got a favorite workflow system when I need input from others. Zapier has allowed me to tie all of those together without having to compromise so I can take advantage of the best features of all of them. Because I don't have to intervene manually, there's no duplicate data entry so errors are minimized as well. Zapier saves me time every day.

Cons

Multi-step Zaps are great, but conditional Zaps would help me stay more organized. Right now, Zapier doesn't offer that so I end up with three separate Zaps that each have a unique filter, rather than one conditional Zap that can route to different steps based on variable input. So far, I've always been able to find a work around. It's like having a 2000-piece Lego set, but not having the exact piece you want. You can still build your house, and it will be amazing, but it would have saved you a few steps if you just had that one more piece.

### "Great Automation Tool for Current Apps"

November 14, 2022

5.0

I believe Zapier team is doing a great job with their platform. So far, I had a great experience using Zapier.

Pros

I'm amazed with all the manual processes I can automate with the web apps we use to move forward with our business.

Cons

There is nothing that I can mention as a con for Zapier. Just that integrations and automations require some skills related to coding, conditional logic, building blocks, and advanced programming skills for complex automations.

### "Zapier makes creating integrations fast and easy"

October 6, 2020

5.0

There's no secret to use Zapier, all you need to is to play with it, follow simple steps the interface tells you to or read the documentation (that's very abundant). The most recent thing I've learned was to use webhooks and use Zapier to get ou send information directly to apps API. It solves most of the issues I mentioned prior.

Pros

Zapier changed the way I deal with apps and tasks. Now everything I need to accomplish I ask myself: is it possible to use Zapier to make this easier or even totally automated? From simple things like sending happy birthday emails to my clients, to connecting a ERP app with Google Spreadsheets, there's hundreds of apps with thousands of possible combinations possible to make our lives easier.

Cons

Since they revamped the interface for creating and managing Zaps, there's not really anything that I don't like about Zapier. If worth mentioning something, it would be the missing actions, triggers or sometimes apps to integrate, but that's not Zapier's fault, because it depends of the apps making their services available on Zapier. Some apps like Wrike sell their own automating app, so they don't offer many choices inside Zapier. Others like RD Station Marketing lack of possibilities in their own API, so it's not possible to do much too.

### "the OG of automation and workflows"

June 4, 2024

Overall, Zapier's been a game-changer! My workflow feels smoother and i just know certain tasks are being handled

Pros

It automates those annoying, time-consuming and repetitive tasks that used to slow me down, freeing me up to focus on my design work.

Cons

There's a bit of a learning curve to set up the automations (Zaps), but there are tons of tutorials, and honestly, it's worth the effort for the time I save now.

Overall, Zapier made my life so much easier. The zaps work and are easy to set up for someone that does not know a lot about coding or integrations. Super simple, intuitive and very useful.

Pros

I loved how Zapier made it easy to integrate different platforms and services into one manageable account that makes everything synch seamlessly.

Cons

### "Best thing to ever happen to a small business!"

September 27, 2019

5.0

Amazing. I can't imagine life and work without using this software to automate our tasks. There is never a question now as to whether certain tasks got completed.

Pros

My company has a very specific set of tasks to perform daily. With Zapier, we've been able to automate 70% of our daily repetitive tasks. It takes a little getting used to how they set their tasks up, but once you have it figured out, there's almost no limit to what Zapier can accomplish for you. We have been able to send hundreds of thousands of emails automatically without lifting a finger. When the system runs into an issue, it alerts us immediately so we can take action. We would not be where we are today without the functionality and ease-of-use of Zapier. When I have any issues I can't solve, the Zapier team is standing by to help me via person emails to solve the problem correctly the first time without making me feel incompetent. This system has saved us from having to hire an entire IT department. More so, when I DID hire an IT group to help me originally set up, guess what they used? ZAPIER!

Cons

The only thing I dislike about Zapier is the initial learning curve in how it works and needs to flow. After that, it's quite easy. I also wish they would save fields when changing tasks- for instance I have a task that needs to run on a trigger and feed into a database, but each month, the database needs to go to a new tab. Even though I change the tab in the task on zapier, I have to re-enter all other data because zapier erases it. Solve that, and this would be a perfect software for me.

### "Can't Live Without It!!! So Powerful!"

December 10, 2019

5.0

SUPER FREAKING AWESOME SUPPORT! They reply and are super helpful, and allowed me to take advantage of the new pricing after I upgraded on the old pricing, they give you details on any errors, and every single time an error has come from the outside source or myself and not Zapier. So worth it!

Pros

Wow, I don't know why I avoided Zapier for years before this, but I don't know how to live without it, and infact there is no way I could. It does so much powerful work behind the scenes sending data everywhere I need it to go with such ease that I would spend way more than I could afford in time or money paying the staff to do it manually. Also, they just improved their pricing and zap time, so I have sped up the process, reduced my costs, and increased to unlimited zaps which is powerful. Can't have a limit.

Cons

Well I didn't like the cost as first, but when calculating what you save in time or having to pay a VA to do the work, Zapier is a no brainer. Then they dropped the cost and pricing and improved the speed transfer time, so going from 15 minutes to 2 minutes is massively important and necessary. We are converting and calculating faster and more efficently.... So not a thing I don't like about it either.

### "Great features. A little overpriced compared to the competition."

June 21, 2022

4.0

Great, but there are better options out there.

Pros

Zapier has a great ecosystem of integrated apps. It's also very easy to use. You can set up an automation in minutes.

Cons

Zapier is overpriced in my opinion. Not because of what it can do, but because of what its competition can offer for less money. I started with Zapier, but have transitioned 95% of my workflows to Make, as it is way cheaper for my needs, doesn't have the same limitations on conditional flows, etc. and is way easier to visualize workflows in my opinion. The lower tier subscription options lack important features, but the price jump is hard to justify. I find the UI to be difficult to use compared to Make. It is not good for visualizing workflows and seems to have gotten worse with the latest updates.

### "Connecting my apps"

November 26, 2019

4.0

Support was very good - and honest - when we uncovered the bug of some of the Slack functionality not working. It's an easy tool to use - I had set up 4 Zaps without a problem and I am not a technical person.

Pros

It's really easy to connect the apps we use to facilitate the exchange of data and increase the functionality of our core applications. An example - we use Ringcentral for phone service and messaging. We realized that as we increase the use of SMS messaging we were "working in silos" not knowing what each other was texting to a customer. We were able to "share text messages" by setting up a Zapier that copied all of the text messages into slack so the entire team could read them. Simple and effective. No programming.

Cons

Zapier had some functions , such as retrieving a new file received in Slack, that do not work. I have been in contact with support, they acknowledge the bug, but will not give an estimate to when it will be fixed. This major flaw has forced us to look at Zapier alternatives to meet our needs.

### "The most comprehensive automation tool"

October 21, 2019

4.0

The overall experience is good. Although overwhelming, and sometimes time-consuming to figure out how to get exactly what I need, Zapier does what it promises. The support team has also been great as well each time I've needed their help.

Pros

The amount of options that Zapier has for integrations is astounding. The possibilities really are endless as far as tying multiple apps/services together to perform automated tasks regularly. Their interface also makes it relatively easy to put together the automations so that it's not rocket science.

Cons

Its greatest strength is also its greatest weakness in that because there are so many options, it's overwhelming. There are so many things you can do with the integrations that I have often felt like I am not getting nearly as much out of it as I could be. I found myself relying on reading their blog and suggested zaps to see if I get any ideas. Ultimately I'm left with a feeling of "I don't know how to get the most out of this service."

### "I love the style of the application"

December 29, 2021

5.0

All the additional functions that Zapier has are very helpful, the style of the application distinguishes it, it is like having a lot of programs in one, also fluid and gives me the availability to add several applications on 1 screen, I have the ability to automate the interaction of reminders and correspondence templates.

Pros

The most useful feature I have found is that we can integrate meeting applications for our webinar registrations. Since I have used it My experience with Zapier is very good, I was somewhat annoyed to use multiple applications for one task, but this has changed with Zapier, I can gather all these applications on one screen and avoid too much effort at work.

Cons

In some cases, the syncs or processes that you can configure are just one-way syncs, which is not a good way to set up a two-way sync. Although Zapier has the ability to integrate with other applications, there are some that are limited to their use and that is still a problem to keep in mind.
