### "Integrate applications that don't do so through APIs"

August 14, 2023

5.0

Overall this allowed me to complete a number of tasks that quite frankly, I'd have never been able to do without Zapier. It has prevented some of our tech stack from requiring an upgrade, likely saving us tens of thousands.

Pros

Lots of customisation available, really crucial for us to connect data to our systems without having to do so manually. It saved us a lot of time being able to use Zapier to connect these apps together.

Cons

Due to the volume of configurability, it at times can feel a little overwhelming – especially to those who aren't as tech savvy. Not a huge amount of support available for guidance either, google is your friend.

Zapier is the leader in easy setup automation, integrating with over 5,000 partner apps including Google, Salesforce, Slack, Mailchimp, and Microsoft. Collaborating across departments to create secure, custom workflows tailored to your business needs is super easy. In addition, you can automate the entire life cycle of the potential client so that they can generate more profits and convert them into sales.

Pros

Easy to configure, easy to use interface and most importantly: endless apps to connect with everything

Cons

Some parts in the initial setup can be a bit complex and require assistance, but once you have everything connected, it's a piece of cake.

### "Automating Lead Management and Customer Care When it Matters"

July 24, 2023

I use Zapier to help clients set up automation. The ease of Zapier enables me to do much more than I'd be able to with native integrations. It is also much more cost-effective than custom coding.

Pros

Zapier integrations with many other platforms. I have primarily used it to build a system of lead capture and move the data to the appropriate systems, such as CRMS or Email Marketing software. It also helps in caring for current customers.

Cons

I have found some systems I use do not integrate with Zapier.

### "AMAZING for automation!"

March 5, 2022

I have been overall pleased with Zapier. It tells me when there is an error in any of my zaps so that I know immediately and can get it fixed.

Pros

I have used Zapier to automate as much as I possibly can. It makes it super easy to create zaps and link them to other apps and softwares I use.

Cons

There are still some apps that I am using in my business that don't have an option to integrate with Zapier, but I'm hoping that the suggestions I've sent in will fix this!

### "Zapier is everything"

November 15, 2022

5.0

Free records or paid - free for private companies with under five work processes; more permitted in paid account. I certainly suggest it for setting aside time and cash. I have been involving Zapier in my business for around five years now and it has been perfect. The product functions admirably and true to form.

Pros

I love utilizing Zapier to limit client care errands that I need to do on an everyday/week after week premise. It assists set aside with timing and cash, permitting me to save ventures on extra representatives. This additionally gives me additional opportunity to achieve other business errands and accomplish more work in a similar time frame.

Cons

Connected with the above mentioned, if an application doesn't have the best trigger or activity arrangement, it could take 2-3 destroys to achieve what ought to truly be a solitary zap, and this would could be restrictively costly, costing much more each month than the product instruments themselves you are interfacing.

### "Straight-forward Automation for Any App"

April 1, 2019

5.0

Overall, I am pleased with the functionality of Zapier and will continue to use it to automate a majority of tasks. It's a robust platform that saves time and maximizes the functionality of your software.

Pros

In my opinion, Zapier is the best web-based provider of API automation and featured a huge library of existing connections. Because of this library, if you want two services to connect, you probably can with Zapier. Building connections with Zapier is also a breeze and are done so in a visually intuitive manner that makes working with an app's API easy for virtually anyone.

Cons

There are a few items on my Zapier wishlist. First, I wish that users had the ability to select the type of test data available when developing a zap. Some workflows call for conditional filtering and it's not always possible to test those filters using the test data Zapier makes available. Second and last, there have been a few scenarios where Zapier hasn't been able to parse data as I need it to. In these cases, I've had to resort to using Microsoft Flow which offers some advanced features that Zapier does not, albeit at the cost of a smaller integration library.

### "The Glue For Online Business"

October 18, 2020

5.0

I just love Zapier. We've built our entire tech stack using Zapier, Podio (CRM), ActiveCampaign (Email), SmrtPhone, GoToWebinar and Nanacast (Shopping Cart) and Zapier is the glue that holds them all together. When a sale gets kicked off at Nanacast, a contact is created in Podio and they're added to ActiveCampaign as well. Zapier captures all the sales that come in and...this part is very important...it stores them for "replay" in case there are ever any issues at receiving parties. I cannot tell you how many times I've breathed a sigh of relief during downtime at Podio or other API points knowing that I can just login to Zapier and simply resend the events with a click of a few buttons. Then there is the incredible customer support. It is so rare to find friendly support that understands the tech issue the first time and gives \*\*answers\*\* the first time as well. Every time I reach out to them, I'm certain their first response will give me immediate resolution. I don't have that level of trust with many vendors and Zapier has truly earned it over the years. If you need to integrate many SaaS services, Zapier is a first class solution for getting it done.

Pros

Zapier has incredible integrations with nearly every SaaS platform on the internet. Their ability to integrate, capture webhooks easily and even receive incoming emails makes them an incredible top tier resources for online businesses.

Cons

The pricing isn't as competitive as Integromat. Hopefully they revisit their pricing structure and offerings to become more competitive in a growing automation market. We have lots of Zaps, but not many monthly Tasks and it pushes us into a higher tier that could be avoided with more pricing flexibility.

### "Zapier to the rescue!"

August 4, 2022

5.0

At my current and most recent employer, we used many different platforms to get our work done. Oftentimes, the different software would not communicate with each other with built in integrations, but we needed to automate this process so our team was not wasting time or risking data mismanagement with manual export/import processes. Zapier to the rescue!

Pros

You can integrate almost any software with a very easy to use, drag and drop interface. What a wonderful product. Troubleshooting is also extremely easy. Everything on the platform is clear and easy to understand.

Cons

The only thing I don't like about it is that there are still products out there that don't have a Zapier integration.

### "Zapier task automation software"

June 5, 2023

3.0

Zapier Automation App is a valuable tool for automating repetitive tasks and streamlining workflows. Its extensive app integrations, user-friendly interface, and reliable performance make it a good choice for task automation software. Despite the pricing structure and occasional limitations with certain applications. Pros and cons aside the app does help save me time, increases efficiency, and reduces manual work, Zapier is definitely worth considering.

Pros

I have found it to be a powerful tool that significantly reduces manual tasks and improves overall productivity. While it does have some limitations, the positive aspects far outweigh the negatives. One of the standout features of Zapier is its extensive library of integrations (1000's). Im able to connect and automate processes across multiple platforms/apps quite easily.

Cons

One of the main concerns is the pricing structure. While Zapier offers a free plan with limited features, unlocking the platform's full potential requires a paid subscription. The pricing tiers are a bit steep for sole proprietors or partnerships. Additionally, certain integrations may fall under higher-priced plans, adding to the overall cost.

### "Automation of manual tasks"

July 26, 2022

4.0

I have been pleased overall with Zapier. However there were a couple of times when my zap broke down because of a change in the way that one of my applications worked. Unfortunately Zapier doesn't have a way for me to go back and re-run transactions that weren't automated, so I had to have someone manually input all of the transactions that didn't run. But for the overall automation of tasks, it generally performs very well. I am able to customize it to a level where I get the sales information from my ecommerce platform to my online accounting software (shift4shop to quickbooks online).

Pros

Allows you to customize your automations

Cons

Pricing model where I end up paying double for my automation because it is performing multiple tasks between two applications

### "Zapier comes to the rescue when our tools don't have native integrations"

June 18, 2023

5.0

Zapier has made it much easier for us to connect ou tools without asking for api help from other teams. The interface is easy to learn, and its software inventory is quite large

Pros

I think the best part is the number of tools it can connect with. We only use it when we can't integrate things natively, and we haven't had any instances where Zapier didn't support the tools we wanted to connect

Cons

It sometimes doesn't have the option to trigger events that we want.

### "Zapier API Integration Review"

February 6, 2023

5.0

Zapier is the first integration tool anyone wanting to do workflows thinks about, I think its great and we've never had a negative experience with.I think it has some limitations and may not be suitable for all use cases, especially more complex integrations that require advanced capabilities.

Pros

The simplicity of it is almost like a no-code workflow, you can connect various applications and services and automate repetitive tasks, you can also continuously add new integrations and capabilities which is a huge plus.

Cons

I think complexity, there are a lot of tools that are starting to do the same, I mentioned Merge Dev, but in terms of handling complexity, its still good, but there are several tools starting to pop up for your exact needs.

### "Best way to make the connection"

July 16, 2019

5.0

Overall, Zapier is just a life and time saver! Software companies are popping up every day, often with no regard to how a customer may specifically need it to work with another software. Without Zapier, some functions may need manual attention that very small businesses simply cannot afford to spend the time to give. Zapier is a must have for any business, big or small.

Pros

With so much technology being created to make our lives easier, speedbumps can occur when these applications can't seamlessly communicate with each other. Here's where Zapier comes in. This might be the single most important element of my business flow. Zapier is the liaison for all of apps and software, enabling them to talk and connect with each other in ways that, perhaps, they didn't intend. For example, in my business, we offer a booklet that customers can purchase with add-ons. We do not print the books ourselves; we use a print-on-demand service, so we need the orders sent to that company when they come in. The print company can't connect to our order form, and who has the time to send orders that may come in round the clock, one by one to a fulfillment plant? Zapier enables us to connect our order form to Gmail so that when the orders come in, an email of the order specifications are automatically sent to the fulfillment company where they can print the book and ship it to our customer. See? Zapier make life so much easier!

Cons

Although it's fairly user-friendly, setting up a "Zap" (a connection from one software to another, or many others) takes lots of tests with lots of trial and error. This is not necessarily a "con", as most things require tests and are not just "plug-and-play." But I'd advise anyone, especially newcomers to this great software, to count on spending some time to get it right, because it will require quite some time to perfect.

### "Recently Switched to a Lower Cost Alternative"

July 6, 2023

5.0

I'm still a fan, and may come back in the future, but am testing an alternative at about 25% of the cost.

Pros

Zapier is a great product in that it simply works. After you set it up, the automations run on autopilot (until something changes, usually with one of the integrations). It's super reliable and you don't have to think about it.

Cons

They recently raised my rates by almost double, which sent me looking for alternatives. I'm not a heavy user. I only have a handful of zaps, and most months only use a small number of my available actions.

Alternatives considered

[Make](https://www.capterra.com/p/154278/Integromat/)

Reason for choosing Zapier

Make (then Integromat) was in its very early days and didn't have all the integrations I needed.

Switched from

### "My favorite employee"

July 1, 2022

I automate nearly EVERYTHING in my business with complex multi-step zaps that completely replace paid VA's and my own attention

Pros

Zapier is the ONLY reason I'm able to run a business as a one-person team. It connects all my SaaS products and keep operations flowing while my attention can be on my clients and prospects

Cons

There's a small learning curve, and the best features/task execution times require higher tier plans

### "Automation superhero, from the mundane to the awesome"

April 30, 2019

5.0

Overall Zapier has brought the fun back, and the mundane and repetitive tasks like email parsing and automation tasks like simply putting a list of event attendees in a Spreadsheet are now effortless and at my fingertips. By using Zapier I have reduced the number of hours needed on the administrative side that every digital agency has to take care and also the number of people needed to fulfill the tasks (and their mistakes).

Pros

If you are developing an app that consumes an API Zapier opens the way to any possible integration out there. No more "I like this software but won't integrate with what we already have". With Zapier you can be going in a finger snap, moreover, you can develop your own integration if they don't have the one you need. With a webhook, a webhook listener and custom code (you will find it easy if you are Node.js-savvy) you can build any possible integration if your needs are not covered by the myriad of the already existing ones. Zapier has brought the fun back into my work, my apps can talk to each other without any data inconsistency. Zapier is a must if you really want to go data-driven or if you want to save countless hours automating your office paperwork, their email parser is just awesome. Get the most important information from your list and store, process and send the data to any of your favorite apps. Unexpectedly I have found many great apps by searching their integration lists. I found that the Zapier-ready apps are way above the standards on their niche.

Cons

Sometimes the integrations are really shallow, the Triggers and Actions are often really limited. It's a bit annoying when you find an already existing connection like the one you need but you don't have the trigger or action needed. Another annoyance is the Test data pulled by Zapier, often Zapier pulls the most recent information and in cases that data can be useless due to an error on your side, you will want another batch of data or ordered differently but that is not always possible.

### "Zapier just works for what it works for; doesn't do much else but doesn't need to"

February 9, 2021

5.0

Overall I'm happy with Zapier. The above limitations mean we won't every rely on it except for the odd integration here or there - for the most common integrations there is usually an existing API web hook integration in whatever apps you're trying to connect, limiting the need for something like Zapier to intermediate (i.e., why would you use Zapier to intermediate any Slack integrations when everything under the sun already has its own Slack integration?). Having said that, Zapier is a very cost-effective solution if you want to have one or two simple integrations running on it. So we'll keep on using it most likely.

Pros

Zapier works very well for the most common, supported, pre-built integrations. If you want to run a Zap linking (say) HelpScout and Slack you'll have no problems whatsoever.

Cons

For custom integrations using web hooks, Zapier is a little lacking. E.g. if you want to link HelpScout with a chat app other than Slack, you'll find that you are extremely limited in configuration options. For example you can't say something like "take field X from the inbound HelpScout JSON and stick it in field Y on the outbound chat app JSON", which (to me) seems like a pretty obvious thing to support.

I absolutely love this software! They made automation available for people that has no ideas how to code.Easy and practical once you learn how to set it up and has saved us lots of money in labor hours plus the fact that has given us extra free time and that it's priceless

Pros

I love Zapier for the fact that all those boring repetitive tasks are now automated for us! If I count the amount of hours that Zapier has saved us the software has paid for it self many times

Cons

The only thing that I can think of is that it takes sometime to set it up properly so don't think that Zapier does everything automatically, you have to do your homework for a while but once it's set up is good

### "Solving Problems Left & Right"

May 23, 2022

5.0

Overall, I cannot imagine our business functioning without Zapier. It drastically reduces our go-to-market time for many new integrations, allowing us to get started now and figure out the nitty-gritty details later.

Pros

Zapier is a phenomenal tool for bridging gaps between platforms / processes that need to integrate together. Not every resource in the market is going to seamlessly connect with every other potential tool that our team might need, making Zapier an absolute must-have for creating integrations and efficiencies across your entire business.

Cons

While Zapier is great at solving problems, it can also be a crutch for a lot of platforms. Each 'zap' will cost your business, and these can add up if there are too many systems being held together via Zapier.
