SEO Manager Computer Hardware Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Great for automating essential workflows" June 30, 2020 4.0 Zapier helped me to solve a very specific issue that I am not sure how I otherwise would have been able to solve. My organization has enterprise Office 360, so we do have Microsoft Flow. However, Zapier was easier to configure and (from what I have seen), a bit more reliable. Pros I decided to use Zapier when an issue came up where an automated email pull from our analytics suite could not upload to an sFTP server. I turned to Zapier as a solution that could ingest that email and then upload it. Zapier has a very easy to use interface, and the configuration took nearly no time at all. Cons Though it has quite an impressive array of integrations, it is still missing several that I would like to see (and would consider essential to my daily work). You also need to get pretty high up in the paid tiers if you want to get some necessary features. Bottom line, despite a few annoyances, there is no other service that does what Zapier does with as many integrations. I would like to see a real competitor rise up but in the meantime Zapier is the best there is. Pros Does help automate a ton of tasks and integrates with most software services. Cons Constantly asks me to reconnect accounts which is a total whip. It is not always easy to create the zaps needed to automate. Review Source Justin M. I love how I can connect different apps that normally would not be connected and get them to work together to automate several processes within my business. Pros Easy to get started and there's now tons of integrations you can make. For example, I have it setup where if I star an email in gmail, it will create a task in Asana. I have our onboarding form automatically feed into Trello and create a new card for our operations team. There are so many different ways you can automate your business by using Zapier. Product Manager Information Services Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Makes Gmail, Kanbanery, and Evernote even more powerful" September 11, 2015 5.0 I use Zapier to keep my Kanbanery board updated, to create more notifications from Kanbanery to email (using Kanbanery's RSS feed and Zapier rules to parse the feed and generate the email), and to send notes to Evernote from Gmail. It's easy to use and every time I think of something I'd like an application to do, I can find some creative way to get it done with Zapier. Pros It's free and easy to use. I mostly use it for Zapping leads to MailChimp but I can see a lot of uses for those that are looking to organize and streamline their business and personal life. Pros The amount of 3rd party software that is compatible with Zapier is enormous! If you have two or more products that may have the ability to communicate via API, Zapier most likely has a solution for you. I mostly use Zapier to 'Zap' all my leads from Leadpages, Intercom, and Typeform to Mailchimp. It's easy to set-up but you do need to know a little about API, what they are and how to use them. Cons Their website interface and tutorial. I think it would be great if they had a very simple video tutorial that goes through the steps of 'Zapping' and make it more user friendly. I had to read through the site a few times and watch a few tutorials on YouTube before I understood how to Zap. I. am sure that an advanced user will sing their praises Pros The email response from the team is instant and friendly. The theoretical integrations are comprehensive and potentially extremely powerful. Cons You may be invited to suggest an application for their webinars. You expect them to demonstrate your solution, however the AI in the response directs them straight to a request for your actual experience with a zap. What if you simply want them to demonstrate a scenario? You get locked into an email stream that does not answer the first question. I want for example an integration which can deliver a word document and personal data to a client. They don’t seem to understand the word ‘demonstration’. The webinars are run @ 100 mph. The audience repeatedly ask the presenters to slow down. They are hyper. Even a recording would be hard work. I find standard solutions clunky from step to step. The more I use Zapier the more I like it. While being more powerful (in my opinion) than its competitors, it is incredibly easy to create new recipes. We've used it at our company to experiment with new processes. So little goes into connecting systems that there is little lost. The biggest challenge is the desire to see products I use to provide access to more of their functionality in their public API. I think there is a lot more my company can do with it, so I'm planning to explore it even more (but as mentioned, that takes some time). Pros I love that Zapier makes everything easier in my business and automates tasks that used to be repetitive. Cons This software took me awhile to set up. This isn't necessarily that it takes a long time to actually do in the app, but rather it took us some time to figure out what kinds of "zaps" would be useful for our business. " June 28, 2019 5.0 Really reliable, that´s what I appreciate the most of this tool. Pros Reliability is a keyword to describe Zapier, which plays a fundamental role in our lead generation campaigns. Synchronizing these forms and routing new leads to our CRM, email and other applications, eases our sales funnel and helps us keep control of campaigns. Also, the platform is very easy to use after a short training. Speaking for myself, I´m not a programmer but after receiving an introduction and practicing it, I´m able to sync our campaigns successfully. We were in the market for a service that would remove the need for us to write custom code in order to integrate 3rd party applications and Zapier fits that need really well. Cons With all the customization you can do there is always going to be a learning curve and sometimes you might get deep down into the trenches of a solution only to realize you are missing something pivotal that will make it work but overall Zapier does a great job at filling that need. Pros Have been using zapier connections to put together our sales and marketing organization. Some of the best features. 1) integrations are plug and play 2) almost all SaaS have connectors available (not a single instance we could not find our integration) 3) Support is very good and proactive. Cons The pricing makes it hard to scale, we get charged for hits to the connector and usually since rows are very high we at times find the pricing prohibitive. But not many complaints with the product.
