Cons There are certain softwares that Zapier does not include, or certain steps for softwares that they do have that they don't include yet. If you open your mind to it you can find a lot of processes/tasks that you can automate. It's easy to use and there is a lot of apps supported. Cons It's maybe a little expensive if you need the pro version for just one process. It would be nice if there was a pro light for example a fewer amount of zaps. For example, I can have a form on my website integrate with my email service so that an automatic email is sent when someone fills a form or, I can include my CRM software into a zap where I can automatically add a client based on the information input in a form, Pros Very easy to set up zaps, works with a ton of programs to integrate, use of webhooks if a program is not available. For my project I don't really want to move to a paid tier and I've repeatedly been able to find lower-overhead ways of doing what I want. Pros Zapier does what it says. They have a ton of integrations that generally do what you want. Cons The UI when setting up tasks is rough. It's all good when things work, but it can be hard to tell what's happening when you have to go back and forth to figure out an integration. I will start with the later. Previously, zaps would only fire at certain intervals of time. With instant zaps it is now possible to trigger actions in real time. The second feature allows you to daisy-chain different actions across vendors. Let's say you create an invoice in your accounting software and would like to save a PDF in a Google Drive folder, add the data from the invoice to a spreadsheet and send your accountant an email with the invoice attached. You can now do this in a single zap. While the competition seems to mostly focus on one-off interactions, Zapier will help you create actual effective workflow across cloud services. Another plus point goes for the ability to use webhooks as triggers, which makes it possible for the tech more tech-savy to integrate a much larger number of services, as long as they feature a relatively standard API. The pricing is a bit steep if you just need a single workflow, but I am certain with time most users will find quite a few useful applications of the technology Zapier offers. Pros I was seeking a solution that would allow our SquareSpace forms, once submitted, to be distributed to many (SS only allows on email address). Setting up the Zap was painless and integrating into SS, even less so. It functions great for our need. July 1, 2018 5.0 Zapier is great, it specifically has made linking a smartsheet form to a Jira ticket extremely easy. We also use it to assign tickets to specific people using information in the smartsheet, which is really great as well. Pros I use Zapier to link a smartsheet form submission to creating tasks in Jira. It is extremely helpful for this because it allows you to use the best features of multiple apps to simplify your workflow. I've also found more ways to use Zap for things I didn't know I needed; like cleaning up my inbox in a more targeted way than gmail allows. Cons There are some things that I'd like zap to be able to do more easily, but end up having to link a bunch of things together in a roundabout way. I'd like there to be more preloaded templates available, as I am not a zapier pro and I think it would help encourage people to use it more, as it can be confusing figuring out what its really capable of. Simple example I use it for: If an email contains this-that information, add a line into a Google Sheet. Excellent! Cons It can have a tedious learning curve to properly set up automations.
