You need to have an understanding of computational logic to get the best out of it, but the tutoials and support is sufficient if you are a bit green. Pros Zapier is a neat tool. Within a day or so, I was able to integrate our reporting, google sheets, and zapier to act as a bot in our company Slack. This meant our employees were able to access live reporting without using another tool, which is a big deal for us. Cons The only reason I am not using zapier right now is the solution was ahead of the problem -- we aren't quite at the point where we need the level of automation zapier connects. Mainly I use it to connect chat bots I install on websites to a clients spreadsheet or something that my client can access. It works nicely. A form fill happens on a chat bot and it appears on the client's Google Sheet. Pros It's pretty easy to set Zapier up and connect whatever you need to. I like that it has so many connections to popular existing software. Cons Some of the instructions are not as clear as I might like. Sometimes an instruction might be able to be taken two possible ways. Perhaps a little icon you can hover your mouse over to get some additional clarification would be good. January 17, 2022 5.0 Overall, Zapier is the best software for easily connecting two apps together. It's done within minutes without using any codes and IT-stuff. Even someone like me with no IT experience could do this. Pros I like the fact that Zapier's dashboard is very convenient. Just pick an app that you would like to integrate or connect, simply install the actions and you're ready to go. As simple as that! Cons At our organizatin we use a customized order management system that is not able to connect with zapier and so with other apps. It's great for basic use cases, like moving data between spreadsheets automatically or updating profiles in a CRM. For more complicated tasks, you quickly hit the limits of the functions that are built in. Most apps only have a few triggers or actions. They have a wide variety of software solutions that they allow connections for - with the fact that some are missing being the only down side. Presumably their list will continue to grow though. It's easy to use (and has some great phrases/commands that make you smile while working). The value for the premium apps is ideal considering the amount of time saved in automating processes - highly recommended; give it a try for free first if you're unsure. Pros Zapier is a great tool that provides different types of triggers and connection between software. Therefore, we do not have to manually download and upload data every day. Cons Sometimes it's not easy to implement across platforms. Especially when it comes to the situation where w need to connect more than 3 platforms together. So we have to spend extra money for tech support. Like connecting FB lead forms with Ontraport so the leads automatically go right into the AR. Pros Depending on what you want to do, the world tends to be your oyster with this. Want to get two pieces of software to talk? Chances are someone already has created a Zap on here to do it. Cons If you are at all afraid of tech or the word code makes you want to run away screaming for the hills, then this might seem a bit overwhelming at first. You need to just dig in. I promise its not as bad as learning to code. It connects to an incredible variety of applications. Cons The cost is a little high for what all it talks to at this point. Pros Huge array of connectors, and the ability to use arbitrary code if you're a developer in the actions Zapier runs is really helpful. If you're looking for a quick and easy way to set up a webhook in Python, without bothering to set up an entire web server just to do it, Zapier works really nicely. The pre-prepared DPA for GDPR compliance is nice, too. Cons In comparison to IFTTT's old free plan, Zapier's always seemed a little limited. However, now that IFTTT Pro is around, and the free plan at IFTTT is limited consequentially, Zapier's offering looks a lot more attractive.
