The UI is really pleasing, and there is a wide range of visualizations to choose from making it easy to convey data in just the right way. Cons Getting data into the system can be a pain, and manipulating the data is a challenge. It often makes more sense to pre-process the data somewhere else which adds another step in the complexity. The amount of data sources you can import in there is amazing. To name a few- facebook, twitter, excel, dropbox, google analytics... The site is very user friendly and easy to use. I love that Klipfolio is making updates and stays at the top. Recently they launched a prebuild tab for google analytics. This creates a tab full of pre-built klips with your google analytics info. It's amazing. Formulas share the same logic as for example MS Excel does so it is fast to learn. Very good way to connect datasets. multiple data sources possible Cons 10MB limt for datasets - we are reaching it quite fast. Also sometimes the formulas can get very complicated when repeating the same constraints over and over inside subparts of formula. It comes with many built in connections and if your data source isn't supported, there are still other options you can use to set up a custom connection. When creating from scratch, the interface is pretty easy to understand - yet it allows for fairly complex designs. Graphics and layouts are handled "automatically" and looks great. Cons Missing a few connectors to the software we use so I had to do some "middleware" with Excel and ODBC. But it was quite easy, so no big issue! Almost any integration is possible via a plug-and-play system - no coding required at all. Klipfolio also has super useful templates to help inspire you on how to organise your dashboards. Cons As soon as you go beyond the basic, more obvious stuff things can get more difficult to understand and execute. If you need complex aggregations of data you'll most probably need someone who knows how to code. There are, fortunately, quite some people on Upwork who can help you out there. No top alignment formatting tool in column displays in Klips is a bit irritating. Pros First of all I like a variety of features. In terms of dashboard it is perfect, well organized and display any KPIs you need/want. Everything what you need to achieve the goal of your project or department. Cons If dashboard is big and it has a lot of data to display, works a bit slowly. For a small company, with no other technical expertise, this support was what helped complete our requirements. Cons Can't do everything you want - but what product can. Once you understand how the data connections work, and the format of the parent/child nodes, you will find it relatively easy to use. The ability to integrate with Excel and Google Sheets also enables us to do far more work than we'd be able to with other dashboard solutions. The most useful feature being the live updating and visualization of a multitude of our AdWords campaigns, at the same time, and having the ability to toggle between each one. Cons Probably the learning curve. But anything worth doing/using will require work at the beginning to use. I found it reasonably priced, easy to setup, powerful, and sufficient. Pros Klipfolio is incredibly usable and customizable. The interface for building a widget makes it possible to display almost any data you can pull in. Its much easier to use than competing software. Cons Klifolio lacks the extensive integrations of other products, or the default dashboard others might offer. Pros The help chat box is amazing and always just a click away. 95% people they have working there have been super helpful and friendly, and really walk you through any coding help you need. The software itself is very powerful and versatile and is able to use a lot of different types of data sources. The pricing is also really hard to beat. Cons Sometimes you get someone who isn't particularly helpful, but it's been very rare. There are some limitations to out-of-the-box functionality, but much less than the competitors I've scoped out. My review is of the free trial version. Pros It uses pre-defined reports for specific data sources. All you have to do is connect the data source and it will create the report for you. It is cost-friendly and provides a solid ROI. This makes it a great alternative compared to a more expensive option like Tableau. Cons It's very difficult to format outside of the pre-defined reports. If you are not a Klipfolio expert or technically savvy, you are limited in Klipfolio. With Klipfolio i don't need a special connector to get my data. They offer a variety of prebuilt connectors but also allow you to access direct database sources and web services. Our competitors can only connect one aspect of the business, but i can connect them to almost everything. Pros ability to connect to a variety of data sources. Easy to build Klips. Cons 10MB file limit for data source.
