The software accurately tracks the rental, bills the customers, and ends the rental payments when the term is completed. Cons There are portions of the Purchase Order process that are not flexible enough for our use. We need to have the cost amount with three decimals places for accurate cost reporting. We also find the purchase order receiving process to be clumsy to work with. I not only recommend I HAVE often recommended. Pros You actually listen to customer needs and respond to service requests. Cons The email client could be better. AIMsi makes my bookkeeping a breeze, and the tech support is the greatest. There's no long wait time, and the staff is very professional and helpful. Cons The ease of use between the POS and Active-e is not the best. It's cumbersome to use. The rental website and regular website should offer the customer end user the same experience. Accounting (clearing accts) could be better. Reporting could be better. Tables don't always communicate, so it's difficult to write useful reports. Review Source DF David F. I have not had anyone in my store who felt it was too difficult to learn the procedure or shortcuts. And from the manager perspective, it has good reports. The only recommendation I can give is more training for all reports. And teach how we can create our own reports. But it is a very good product. Cons The only issue I have had is when we made the transition from AIMsi 9 to the current version. We had a couple of workdays when the POS closed down on us. I like the fact that using the viewfinder allows the computer to be accessed by support. This allowed me to take notes as a staff member explained what he/she was doing. Highly reliable. More confident in a server-based system than in a cloud-based system. Highly competent tech support team. Willing to consider & implement improvement suggestions. Tech support team patient with all levels of users. System is fast; reporting capabilities are very good; all inventory management and accounting functions are robust. I get a response of "We can do that" and they do. Cons When searching for a customer and I type the account number in and the program is asking me for last name. Cons There's inconsistency between screens (e.g., the save button is not always in same spot). The vendor is sometimes reluctant to fix product functionality issues. Cons I dislike how difficult it is to make changes, especially to SKUs and sales. Furthermore, having to open a new window whenever I want to accomplish a new task is very antiquated; similar modules should be grouped into a single window or tab instead of scrolling through multiple drop-down menus. This software is much more than just POS software. Cons We experience frequent software shutdowns, though not daily. Outdated, unreliable, very little import cross functionality with Microsoft Office products, and very little backdoor management capabilities. Not to mention deplorable customer service. For any company who carries large numbers of inventory SKUs -- I would not recommend this product. Cons There are lots of little things that annoy me about the program (lots of little glitches and things). There seems to be a lot of little things that can crash the program.
