PMHNP Mental Health Care Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Good but could use some improvements" November 27, 2023 4.0 Fairly easy to use on a computer but the mobile version is a little clunky. I wish there were an integrated PMP feature - required in Texas for controlled substances Pros It's affordable and fairly easy to use. I like that staff accounts are free. Cons First and foremost, clinicians should be able to assign Rx to other prescribers within the practice from their own account. This is stupid that you don't have this feature. APRNs and PAs are unable to prescribe CII in Texas and need to set these up for their supervising physicians. Currently, our APRNs have to access a staff account to do this and they should be able to do it from their own account. Clinicians and staff make frequent mistakes with regards to assigned pharmacy. I think it would be better to force a selection every time and not auto populate with last used pharmacy. I would prefer to use something integrated but my charting software did not have it when I first subscribed. Switched from [Dr. First](https://www.capterra.com/p/119759/Rcopia/) Switched from Valant (integrated) to Therapy Notes which initially did not have integrated eprescribing. They do have one now but the cost has not been competitive with what we pay for MDToolBox. If your prices went up, I would definitely cancel my subscription and switch to the integrated software for Therapy Notes. Review Source JB Joshua B. Cons No actual Android App. Very difficult to add to anything on mobile. This program reduces the chances of having prescriptions taken, destroyed, or lost. Overall, I''ve had no complaints on this program and I would recommend it to any provider looking for a safe and effective way to prescribe medications. Pros I like how this program because it is easy and straightforward in terms of use. It includes all of the medications I have chosen to prescribe and offers many other added features. Our practice prescribes MAT (medicated assisted treatment).Prescribing straight to pharmacies without problems with either sending/receiving has been invaluable. Alerts you when a pharmacy requests a refil. Pros It is very easy to log in and prescribe medications for patients. It is intuitive and easy to navigate. Controlled substance prescribing works well on the desktop version. I have recommended it to several colleagues who have really liked it as well. Cons The mobile version is clunky. Can't prescribe controlled substances from it. Does not allow for facial recognition sign. Would be great if it can be integrated with EMR. Review Source GA GLENN A. I can’t begin to tell you how much time this saves us compared to the overly clunky way we used to do it. Without reservations I can say it saves at least 1 to 2 hours a day based on what we were doing before. Pros It’s web based. I can do it on any web platform. Cons This is a non-issue…. I tried a different program the first time and had endless problems. Since I have used MDToolbox, my life has been much simpler. Pros The price and ease of setting it up and using it. It is reliable. If I have a problem, there is good customer support. Cons That it isn't 24/7 support. If I have a problem on a weekend, which I rarely do, I have no way to access support. This is most difficult as some of the medications I write are for patients who do not live close by. This means that the only way to write a prescription is to send them a handwritten copy which would take 1-3 days, even if overnight.
