Pros Once you get the system down, it is very easy to prescribe meds for my clients Cons It was cumbersome at first but once you learn the ins and outs, it is very easy to use. It is like anything, it takes time to learn the tricks that make it work the way you want it to. You can also setup a PMP integration to pull the report directly into the prescription writer. Unfortunately, Maine is not currently State-funded, so the intermediary charges a fee. Pros It's easy to use and the results for patient and pharmacy interactions are simple. Also, tech support is easily available without long waits for service. The techs I have talked with have been professional and knowledgable about this product. I feel very well supported. Pros Reliable and consistent, with a relatively user-friendly interface. Decent customer support in a world where customer support has gone virtually extinct. Cons I can't do schedule II prescriptions with the mobile app - this means I cannot cover some patients while I'm away from a mobile device. It's a HUGE problem, and if I were the administrator I'd seek a new e-script service for this reason alone. But, I'm not making those decisions at my place of employment, so, I cont. to use it for now and I have to admit that it's pretty decent aside from that one glaring issue. Review Source IH Imtiaz H. The billing is confusing. Program is overpriced. Cons They trick you into signing yearly contract and if provider is no longer using the MDToolbox account they won't refund. Our product offers a 30-day risk free trial and is one of the lowest priced ad-free electronic prescribing systems on the market. Our default billing plan, month-to-month is less than a dollar a day per prescriber, starting at $30 per month. The billing page shows 2 options: our month-to-month (which is selected by default) (cancel at any time), and our annual contract that you selected for an even bigger discount. The annual contract is clearly worded that the account is being pre-paid for a year to receive a reduced rate. To submit payment, you are required to check a box acknowledging that we do not offer refunds for the lower prepaid amount. If an office changes their mind within the first month, we are also happy to change them back to the month to month with refund. Easy to see all the medicine prescribed for the patient. Can send prescription directly to the pharmacy and immediately get back verification that was received. Cons Difficult to look up an identify pharmacies. Really dislike that pharmacies are identified by number. I would prefer if the software would list the street and city. When looking for a pharmacy, would prefer if list the pharmacies in the specific city and the surrounding cities as well. Will be our go to choice unless our medical record system begins to include its own e-prescribing functionality. Pros LOVE the electronic token system for prescribing controlled substances. No more "I lost my prescription discussions," since it goes straight to the pharmacy. Very fair pricing for the functionality. Have had a couple of technical issues and the customer service team was awesome and incredibly helpful. Cons The interface is a little dated and takes some getting used to.
