The progress note format is all wrong for insurance purposes. It needs to have a SOAP or BIRP format. The forms should be easier to develop. Multiple checkbox are needed and ease of developing drop down menus are critical.

Pros

This software is easy too use once you get to really know the software. I am still struggling with some aspects of this software, but what I am finding out is that the more that one uses this software the more easy it is to use. I feel that this software now that I find myself really getting use to using it, is extremely valuable especially when it comes to seeing a lot of clients/patients on a regular basis. I basically by history as a therapist am not used to writing anything in front of my patients/clients unless it has to do with gathering information on a first visit in connection with an evaluation; otherwise, I love to devote as much eye contact with the individuals that I am serving as possible. The Software is now taking me to newer and higher ground as far as therapy is concerned and I am truly very grateful for this.

Cons

I find it sometimes difficult to write and complete progress notes for my clients so that the notes can be signed after each session, but I am presently getting more and more comfortable with this.

It is easy to use and filing bills is seamless with insurance companies. It checks for common errors before sending which saves time and money.

Cons

When billing clients there is no “tracking” so I know when and/or if I billed them already. I’m going to start a paper log but it would be so much easier if it could be automatically notated within .

I love the ERA aspect. I love being able to email clients a link to the portal. I love the intuitiveness of it! I love how user friendly it is.

Pros

This is such a user friendly and intuitive software. I'm a huge fan of ! It has freed up so much time and energy compared to my old EHR.

Excellent, easy to use product with intuitive features. I recently switched from Therapy Notes and am very happy with the change.

Pros

User friendly, monthly reports help me stay in touch with my business profitability, love the Wiley Treatment planner add-on because it makes completing my treatment plans a cinch!

Cons

Not many cons. I would like to get the method of copayment printed on my Superbills. But in their defense, I have not requested that fix yet.

Not what I hoped.

Pros

Phone app was good but only lets you see by client or day. Unable to do much from it. This section is making me wrote more so - Pretty colors?

Cons

It is primitive and unnecessarily complicated at times. It is always DAYS until you hear back from a representative when you have a problem or question. The answer is "we are hiring people" but that is really not my issue nor what I am paying for. I will most likely not be renewing with .

I do not like the bill for clients. I would like it to show insurance payment, write off, and co-payment by client as separate payments.

### "Great software, just not for individuals"

Unfortunately, I felt that it ultimately wasn't worth the investment for me. It's not a bad practice management system. But I feel it would be better for a practice or organization that's more established, and has more providers.

Pros

I loved having everything all in one place. My billing, scheduling, notes, and more. Being able to enter client information directly during the intake process was helpful and reduced my mental load by offering an easy guide to follow.

Cons

The user interface design was very difficult for me to learn. I didn't feel like it was easy to find the information I needed to learn different functions. This was partly because it seemed better set up for a group practice or mental health organization, rather than a solo practitioner. There were additional features that would have been very helpful for a solo practice, but were only offered if I paid for an upgrade.

Reason for choosing TheraNest

The option to start at a lower fee and upgrade as I gained more income was attractive to me. The ads on Google were well-placed and easy to see the main features quickly.

Pros

Absolutely appreciate the live person customer service! I tried a different system and decided what is important to me is to have a system that has supportive staff. I am a small private practitioner and highly recommend !

I tried several different EHR's before I decided on . I have used them through the first year of my practice, and am still very happy.

Pros

It is intuitive and easy to use. Billing is simple and easy. The client portal and reminder texts make running a one person practice easy.

Cons

I wish the calendar could be color coded and I wish there could could be a To Do List function.

Pros

I appreciate how the program provides written instruction, video clips and the option of direct messaging with a staff person to help you understand a particular aspect of the program. This format is immensely helpful in learning the many facets of managing the entire spectrum of clinical and administrative tasks that the software provides. Additionally, this program efficiently links the clinical with the administrative in a seamless fashion. Nice!

Cons

So far, I don't have a comment about this. I am in the process of connecting with Availity RCM to proceed to using the billing component. So, hopefully that will give me a fuller experience of the scope of the software capability.

provides a quality platform that integrates provider scheduling, notes, treatment plans and billing with a client portal. It has streamlined my business and cut down on my practice management time. I also appreciate how easy it is to get help. The help desk is quick and responsive. They have always been able to solve problems and answer questions.

Pros

Digital forms, integrated billing, notes, scheduling, treatment plans, a la cart add on services.

Cons

The billing reconciliation can be cumbersome...but the benefits definitely outweigh the cons.

### "Learning Curve... "

I am new to , and I'm experiencing quite a learning curve. I understand how to enter in new clients, how to do session notes, and I can click on the tabs to write more detailed notes, etc as needed. I have not consistently gotten the calendar feature to work in a way that I understand, though, and this has been frustrating to me.

Pros

I like that the software is comprehensive, and means that there is not a need for hard copies.

Cons

I find that a lot of the software is not intuitive, and requires a person with experience with to explain this to me. I am training to be a therapist and not an IT person, and I do wish the software was a bit more intuitive, especially around scheduling.

Pros

Easy to use and very helpful with typing notes from clients.

Cons

Being able to see patients balances on therapists end. Company needs to listen to the users recommendations and there’s a bug that cuts off therapists notes after saving/finalizing. Glitches with scheduling. Also, customer service can’t come with solutions for these bugs after many complaints.

Saves time, cost effective, customer service

Pros

The customer service, ease of billing, reports, scheduling...it's all really great. I've used other software and is far superior, the most cost effective and user friendly. Another great bonus is that you can grow at your own pace.

Cons

It was difficult to figure out how to do billing with Office Ally and Medicaid, but once it was figured out, it's been really great, easy and time saving!

Excellent!

Pros

Its ease of use is exemplary. It is easy to set up new clients and also bill. I am stunned how well the functionality encompasses what we need to do. Its like we had an EHR built right for us!

Cons

I would like to see the auto-post function change items over to "Paid" easier. If its not posting from an ERA, its kind of hard to change items over to "Paid" once payment has been received. For month end reporting this is critical.

I use everyday to communicate with clients and my team. Therefore, the most used feature on the app would be the messaging function. Unfortunately, that doesn't currently exist. I am writing to encourage your software team to add that technology onto the mobile app.
