I really like the Wiley Treatment Plan integration.

Pros

Online chat assistance has been very helpful. Customer support is responsive and overall the software is easy to learn.

Cons

Remembering to save data before using the back button takes some getting used to. I've lost data I've entered.

Easy record-keeping and submission to insurances. My biller can log in and handle the billing aspect, but its easy enough that I can fill in for myself if he's on vacation or anything.

Pros

Easy to use with the help of excellent customer service and tutorials! Plus lots of add-ons (credit card processing, telehealth, Wiley case notes, upgrade-able plans).

Cons

The app is great, but I'd like to be able to do everything I can do on the website on the app, too!

I use it in my private practice.

Pros

I like that the software is robust and built for the counseling profession directly. It is meant for counselors and professionals. The ability to store clinical records and other documents on clients with ease is excellent. The cost is extremely fair, and the support for the platform is unbelievably excellent. The folks at recognize that the customers are their users, so creating a great product involves high quality service. I don't see myself going anywhere for quite some time. I could do worse with another company, so this was a great choice!

Cons

Some of the layout can be a little confusing, but that just takes some time to learn. It is logically organized, but it isn't immediately apparent until you tour through the software and explore it.

Pros

It is easy to schedule clients and access all clients information.

Cons

Sometimes the nurse practitioner would have a hard time seeing her clients through the telehealth feature. Also when updates are being made to the website it affects the whole system and typically we are not able to use it.

The tabs / categories in the software encompass the backbone of what I need on a daily basis to manage my casework and session planning.

Cons

The boxes to fill out are too small and not view-friendly. I have to scroll back and forth too many times.

Pros

There are many features that save me a ton of time in writing notes, billing insurance companies and tracking income. The development team seems to be making improvements that are truly linked to user feedback.

Cons

The financial tracking features could be more user friendly specifically when insurance payments change for a particular client after billing.

There are still features that I'd like to have from time to time, but I love that the customer service staff is very responsive and thorough in resolution of issues.

Cons

Setting up the electronic billing was a struggle and not communicated clearly what was my responsibility versus what would take care of. But once that was resolved, it's great.

Pros

I like the flexibility of the format which allows you to create forms that may better suite your needs. I also like that you can have unlimited staff who can access the platform

Cons

I don't like the tiered plan which requires you to pay more money every time that you have additional clients. I also do not like that the functionality of the form creation function. It's not exactly user friendly.

### "I love TheraNest! "

I tried 3 different practice management software programs and was by far the most user-friendly and affordable! I've already recommended it to two colleagues who are happy customers as well!

Pros

Love, love, love the automatic generation of the CMS form and superbill. I had been looking for this function for a long time! Writing progress notes is a breeze. And it's affordable!

Cons

I find the integration of the appointments with the progress notes and the ledger to be clunky. To me, it seems like I have to make too many clicks when I'm editing appointments and updating with CPT codes.

I feel that it makes writing notes relatively easy and keeps everything in one place

Cons

However, I do not like the way the drop down menus on the mental statue exam get stuck (will not close unless you click tab through them in a very specific way, thus it wastes time) as that makes it harder when updating the notes.

I have accurate records and I have several options for my notes. I love the new feature of the electronic portal for client paperwork. The appt calendar works best on the computer but I can make good changes on my phone.

Pros

I have loved watching this program develop and grow in the last 10 years. I began when they were first starting and it was pretty bare bones. Which is what I needed as a new business owner so that I could grow with the program. At that time, I really wanted exact notes that would reflect exactly what happened in the sessions and Theranest provided that place. It has grown however to a much better system and a much better process. I know that I do not use a lot of the process because I have an outside biller. But all the parts I do use are the best and I have tried several.

Cons

The cost of anything is always a killer for a small business. The cost however has been fair for the service that you get.

I've only been working on the system for about 4 months, so I'm still learning it's full potential.

Pros

It's pretty user friendly. There is an app to access the site from my phone which is very convenient. Therabook is a great feature for the patients.

Cons

Limited on reporting, would like to be able to have more reporting options for example would like to run reports based off of the patient's diagnosis. On the invoicing and statements piece, it may be user error but we often end up with duplicate invoices being created. Would like to be able to archive patients within the details screen and not have to go back to the client list screen each time to do this.

I originally started using because I was at a non-profit without a lot of money and we needed something affordable that could work with several clinicians without adding costs per clinician. Theranest had a lot of the things we were looking for, even though there were (and are) some things that I would like to have. The best part about Theranest is, everyone gets a say in what developments are looked into by the company through their feedback voting system. This is where the company really stands out because you can see what is being focused on, and you know that they are continuously making improvements because they roll something new out regularly. You can even see what they have in the pipeline, which I truly appreciate. Besides already having a fantastic feature set, and one of the best price tags around, their customer service has been phenomenal as well. Quick responses, willingness to listen to feedback, and even just the opportunity to chat with someone about an issue with the software, have all been delightful. I recommend this product to every Counselor that asks me for a recommendation, and even some that don't. Keep up the good work Theranest!

I have been using for 7 months since my start date at San Diego Center for Children on February 8, 2016. I have found it adequate for my purposes and, for the most part, user friendly. My main responsibility is tracking invoices and using them for insurance billing and follow-up.

Pretty straightforward.

Cons

Not as comprehensive as it could be for my purposes.

has many great features and is mostly user friendly. It falls short on some basic features though. The program does not allow you to refund a patient if needed. You have to contact tech support and send and email with the pertinent information instead of just processing the refund directly. Also, we have patients that see different people in our practice or are using different services, which are at different fees. The program does not allow you to input the fee for the service, instead it is one fee for the person and you need to make sure you catch when they are using a different service or person and adjust the fees. This is a very weak feature of the program and can cause numerous billing issues if the person isn't extremely careful prior to running the charge. I hope these issues and others, that nI don't have time to list are addressed and resolved.
