Pros: Till, Scanner, Cash Draw, Till Display Rod and receipt printer arrived, albeit 2 weeks late. Instructions for linking hardware were not in the box's, however the online video sorted this error.

Cons: We paid on a lease for the system over 3 years, we will still be paying for this pile of junk until January 2019, even though we have had to stop using it.

Poor Support & Blackmail Tactics

Every time the system crashed ( at least 20 times in the first 12 months) it would take days to fix. We were left using a calculator to serve customers, and of course, this then meant our stock figures were all now useless.

The first issue that bugs me more than the system crashing is the difficulty in getting hold of support, and when they call you they don't speak clear English, and assume that you are still at the shop 36 hours after you called for help!

The second issue is that they have put a license expiry date on the system and they then demand payment for annual support, even though the original deal with there sales rep stated that we would own the software for life and would not have to pay any monthly or annual support fees.

The third issue is their inability to issue invoices. We paid 3 times for data modifications, but have never received any invoices, despite requesting them multiple times.

We have now had to abandon the system and go back to a simple manual Casio till.

The dream of an epos system has gone, we couldn't afford to buy a new system whilst we are still paying off this lease. For a start-up business, this system has cost us 100's of hours of extra work without ever getting any benefits!

Overall: A lot of extra work hours with no valuable outputs !!!

Pros: I am very much satisfied with the Emperium Epos software as it take care of all my business needs....

Cons: I could not find anything that can be pointed out about the software and its features, would definitely suggest if found any.

Overall: A complete software that can fulfill the needs of any type of business. The support is also too good

Pros: It is user friendly, that is the only good thing with this product. The support is absolutely useless, they try to make money from you at every opportunity to the point of trying to sell you a support package or something without even addressing the reason you called.

Cons: Took an Epos system from these, they transferred my data, and I had to go through 2500 items manually due to everything being wrong and they couldn't sort it out, I also took a barcode printer which they could not get working, had to do it myself. Every time they were called to correct a system issue they tried to sell me a 'support package', truth is, the support is rubbish, noone seems to know what they are doing and you can't understand a word they say. I had a black screen after a short time, they tried to sell me a new hard drive, turned out the problem as just the screen, after several emails and reporting them to trading standards, they brought me a new system free of charge, still we had problems, and when they solved a problem, they caused another one EVERY time. the epos worked out the finances in 2 different ways (invoice accounting and cash accounting), this got me a fine from HMRC, even though I had done nothing wrong and taken my figures from the epos, then I needed an extra till, they quoted the amount, I finally gave up with it and got a better system from another company, then the 'annual licence' payment demand came (most other companies do not charge an annual licence), I told them I no longer use the system but they rang constantly, threatening court debt collectors, actually telling me that they will sell the 'debt', I told them to go ahead for 3 to 4 months before I finally got a letter from a debt company with a demand for payment

Overall: None, It cost me a considerable sum in phone calls, time and eventually a new system from somewhere else.

Pros: I am very much happy with the software and it is really easy to use. Excellent reporting features. It is very useful to software.

Cons: I would like to see some improvements to invoicing. No other remarkable changes needed for software.

Overall: Using the software for almost over a year I couldn¿t find any major issues. I am very much happy for having a great software overall.

The salesman sold us a perpetual license, but now the software has stopped working unless we pay them. This is NOT what we bought.

Comments: I just got trapped by the sweet talk of the sales representative and now I am suffering badly for that. They are just after your money. I paid a lot for the system. The delivery man first dropped the machine. I refuse to take the delivery but I had to accept it because I had no option. The inefficient inexperienced engineer was sent to install the system who took ages and I had to stay in the shop till late. It was 9 by the time system was installed and he had no time to go through with me how to operate the system. I was left in a complete mess as I did not know how to use the system. No training no response from customer services. Even the sales rep who promised to help me use the system if I had any difficulty did not even turned up once. He was just after the money, once paid they will not bother. After couple of month I started receiving the invoices for support. I cannot use my system it's just lying there occupying the space. May be I will just have to throw it away. I am planning to register a complaint against them because they do not give complete information about the products and charges. I hate them for cheating me. I have a small business and it was difficult for me to pay that much money. It hurts me. If anyone else also interested in complaining pls communicate.

I think the good review are just fake for this company because it's not worth even one star. Hope it help the other people who want epos system for their company and not get trapped with this company worthless system.

Overall: I WILL NOT! RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!! everyone who is enquiring about this system and company, please go somewhere else. Because there are other companies who offer better service, for better value and with very good support and people!

Firstly I paid up to £ for my till system, the sales rep had told me that till and software is now mine. No longer the companies however as there stupid good will they give you useless 3 months support system, which is absolutely USELESS! So I bought this system in Jan 2016, now a year later my system stops working, and the screen says I need to renew my license???? I call up and they tell me I have to pay them £plus VAT! I have to apparently continuously pay for something every year when I paid £ to buy it! In what world does that make sense? Apparently its for a software upgrade, no other option about it! I have got two shops with four tills in total with different companies and not ONCE have I been told I have to pay crazy amounts every year for no reason! You'd think paying £ you're sorted with the state of the art service but no its the state of the art bullshit! The people are so uneducated with no common sense whatsoever!

People if you have a supermarket by all means go to this company, but small businesses, you'll be out of pocket and end up selling your business if you go with this company. there are many companies out there who offer FAR BETTER service and packages than this, do your research, don't make the same mistake I did, now i have to break the till to get my money out, which is not cool when that is like breaking £ of my own money.

Recommendations to other buyers: stop selling your product

Pros: Few months ago I was using ordinary machine without any business control options.. Right now its already few months I am using emperium retail software.. and guess? It's smooth, easy and simple...!!!!
I beat myself why I didn't obtain the solution times ago..
Good luck.. By the way, you can do as I did.. Download trial version from downloads/com, just type emperium epos...

Overall: Recommend to try trial version from downloads/com, type emperium epos.. I did like that and it worked...
