Pros: From our experience with our previous VOIP system, Jive has proven to be a lot more dependable, meaning less dropped calls and less synching issues. Haven't had many problems with the mobile app for my android based phone either.

Cons: As with all VOIP systems, the quality of the telephone calls is dependent on the quality of your WiFi. If I leave the program open overnight, the jive connection to the communication system is affected and I end up missing calls or am unable to dial out. It is a simple fix, just close the program and reopen, usually does the trick. Since the program was not connected properly, I have no record of missed calls, unless there is a voice message.

Overall: I do have a lot more faith in using this communication software for my day to day calls. The flexibility in working remotely is great when I am at home or traveling.

We've been using Jive for about 2 months. Its easy, efficient & full of great features!

Pros: We like the programmable settings including ease of changing phone trees, call forward features and being able to call using the app and our patients think they are reaching us in the office while we are mobile.

Overall: phone tree, app usage to connect remotely with clients without them knowing there is an out of office event, e-faxing. We had frequent issues with our landlines and Comcast did not provide prompt services to get a medical office back online, we've yet to experience connectivity issues with Jive. There's used to occur weekly and we would be without phones for half the business day or longer with no explanation. We are extremely satisfied with our switch to Jive and look forward to the many upgrades they offer.

Jive is great and their customer service team is outstanding !

Pros: The best part is the customer service. Also the up time has been 99%. For the 3 years we have been using it I think we only got 2 interruptions in service for less than 1 hour.

Cons: The new portal is little overwhelming but takes time to get used to it other than that I can not think of any cons.

Excellent, hands down, the best VOIP service.

Pros: Ease of use. Customer service and setup. Setup was a bit overwhelming at first, but with the help of the customer service staff at Jive, I was able to understand the system better.

Cons: App needs some work. Doesnt allow MMS. SMS messaging is currently in Beta testing. Cant wait for the full rollout.

We switch from Frontier copper system to Jive's cloud phone system, COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!

Pros: - Awesome customer service and tech support, pre and post!
- They guide you through the switch step by step.
- Dashboard is really intuitive and easy to use, perfect for end users but robust enough for your IT guy.
- Great discount on hardwares.
- Great voice quality.

Cons: - Billing starts right away. It is fine if you are getting new numbers, but porting takes a couple of weeks and the meter is running during that time. No biggie, we used the time to setup and get familiarized with the system.
- Firmware updates sometime require rebooting the phones, and you don't know if the reboot failed. You have to find out the next day that the phones are a little off. Then all you need to do is to reboot them manually. That fixes our problem 10 out 10 times.

Overall: Cloud phone functions. We streamline call handling efficiently with the addition of mobile apps. Big saving on monthly bill is definitely a big plus.

Pros: I really value the web based portal where I can manage my phone systems from my computer. great interface - very user friendly. Very Powerful! Lots of settings and customization for each user station. This is powerful software and very well designed. I do take some getting used to but JIVE support people are always just a phone call away so no worries!

Overall: I just really value the ability to manage our phone systems from one internet based interface. I just log in and everything I need is right there.

Right out of the gate getting the Jive system has been an excellent decision.

Pros: Reduced our phone bill by half; Jive's excellent support team; lots of funtionality - really like the Follow Me functions. Good reporting tools as well.

Cons: The Dial Plan can be very confusing when you don't use it but a few times a year for holiday outage messages.

Overall: If you are asking about the survey software, I did not get any benefits from the Capterra survey software, but I'm sure Jive did. If you are asking about the Jive telephony software, I have already answered that question.

Pros: Does what you think it should do, completely replaces analog phone systems and the need to have an expensive technician setup or manage the system. Plenty of functionality and customization options. Drag and drop Dial Plan. Easy to modify and expand as business needs change, Multiple location support. Competitive pricing. Fast, friendly and mostly knowledgeable support team.

Cons: Some setup and troubleshooting information that should be plainly available can be hard to find. Fully understanding the console, setting up lines, users, dial plans, devices, etc., and managing the system is not for the technically challenged. You need a logical mind. When reaching out to customer service, the first person you speak with in support can't help. Their job is to give you a ticket # and transfer you. Some very tiny, inconspicuous settings can have a major impact on how the system works or does not work. You should be able to modify dial plan items (like message recordings) from a direct link within the dial plan. Initial issues with call dropping, but since resolved. Any VOIP's downside is dependence on decent internet connectivity. If the internet is having issues, your phone system will have issues. Rebooting your phones seems to fix most issues.

Overall: Lower setup costs, lower operational costs, lower maintenance and management costs. Allowed management of communications systems to go in-house.

Pros: We have had a great experience since originally being set up. Quality has been great with very minimal issues. I would recommend this service!

Cons: Had a difficult time getting going with very little support. However, once we got up and running it has been wonderful.
Their softphone solution is a 3rd party product that was transitioned to with no real guidance. It's complex to get set up but Jive tech support did walk us through it and they were very helpful.

We just started using the Jive Communications VoIP system and so far it's great!

Overall: Tracking and reporting calls along with the VoIP capabilities. We are still learning the system and it's capabilities so the benefits of the new phone system over our old obsolete legacy system is outstanding already. Once we fully understand what it is able to help us accomplish, I would love to provide another review.

Pros: Easy to use and great customer support. Online access to be able to set up users and change features.

Cons: Phones do go down at times. Some calls get dropped or calls do not go through. This may be due to internet connection.

Pros: The ease of use is is the biggest Pro in using Jive. Also all of the features are offered in their base plan. Many competitors will charge you to add the more advanced features. The ability to create and modify your own dial plans is saves our company so much time and energy.

Cons: The reporting is average. But it really depends on what reports you need. So look into what type of reports your company needs.

Pros: Very easy to use interfaces. Great customer service. We've been using Jive for several years and the system has been extremely reliable.

Cons: Reporting is not quite as robust as other products, but very adequate.

Overall: It removes the need of having a phone server onsite. Having it hosted alleviates a lot of issues with onsite hardware.

Pros: It's not so much the software that I like the most - it's the customer service that backs it up. The chat tool allows quick easy help at your fingertips. They are always very pleasant and helpful. I don't even try to make changes anymore. I just pull up the chat tool and within minutes they have made my changes for me.

Cons: The site is not user friendly. As the administrator you have so many places to go to make changes, users, Lines, devices. I was hoping the new dashboard would help. It's the same difficult design - just cleaner and grouped differently.

It took us a while to figure out the software but once we did we were very pleased.

Pros: We like being able to receive our voice mails via email and the ability to save the .wav files. We also appreciate having the ability to establish dial plans, automatically routing calls as required by our ever changing needs.

Cons: We had some difficulty learning the program as did the vendor who sold us the product. While support was good both from our vendor and Jive it was frustrating and required more time than we anticipated.

We ported 300 phones from a traditional PBX to Jive's hosted service.

Pros: The system functions very well. The user has lots of control over configuration. Fantastic customer support.

Cons: There are some missing features and quirks with the online PBX but nothing that affects core functionality.

Overall: Tremendous cost savings compared to the previous provider. Much more control and functionality.

Pros: we use the phone systems and they work well. We have 5 locations and they communicate well internally. We do conference calls from folks in the state and it is crystal clear

Cons: Price, but that is a given considering we are a non profit organization. But we know that there is a cost to everything and we pay each month accordingly.

Pros: We most like that Jive has an easy-to-adjust editor for our phone system, allowing us to modify as needed. The mapping makes it very clear as to incoming calls.

Cons: The only thing we dislike about this software is that it's based solely on Internet, which seems standard, yet if the power or Internet goes out, so does our phone. That's not Jive's fault, though, and it just comes with the territory of VOiP.

The folks at Jive make having a phone system simple.

Pros: The forwarding feature is right up front and makes it easy to ensure you don't miss a call. The optional online interface is so user friendly!

Cons: There is so much that the system does - it is hard to incorporate all of the features in the day-to-day, sees like I am always learning about what the Jive system can do!

Overall: Replaced our closet sized, out of date, ridiculously hard to maintain phone system! What's not to like?!

Pros: The ease of use. The various options and features that enables us to incorporate the options into our business needs.

Cons: Having to login to make changes into the phone system rather than being able to select on the phone.

Pros: I mostly value the outstanding customer support. The software is great for small businesses, like ours.

Pros: The voice mail and the individual voicemails, the on hold music ( we actually customized it), the yelling T48G phone is great and easy to use.

Cons: Sometimes I wish I knew how more of it worked! I am learning but wish I really understood more. I also hate the cordless Yealink phones. Hard to use sometimes.

Pros: It works easily and can be opened and used easily. Once you are logged in, you can find what you are looking to do easily.

Cons: It is very extensive and has a lot of options you can do. It can be intimidating since it is so much software.

Pros: Being able to sign online and change settings then add or delete cell phone or change to cell phone or cell user extension

Cons: Not being able to transfer from ext to ext when forwarded to cell phones this feature was and is available on vonage

Pros: The software is easy to use and understand. It is very graphical with its drop and drag design. We rotate people covering the phone on weekends and Jive software makes changing it quick.

Cons: I am a Mac user and flash is a big part of the software and Apple seems to be moving away from flash. It would be helpful to be able to put descriptions/titles in some of the components of the "Dial Plan Editor".

I absolutely love my Jive system. Great bang for my buck! I have recommended jive to many others

Pros: These guys get it! The world does not want to learn everything about telephone systems. Small business owners want to plug 'n' play. But complicated products need setup. Jive was there with me in setting up my two phone system (soon to be three!) They walked me through all the setup and settings, and even fought comcast for me. I would have given up and sent everything back but for the outstanding customer service. That's the value I get, not all the gee whiz stuff that I'll never use.

Cons: By definition, if you want a powerful phone system, you need a big manual. My questions are so basic, I could never find the answer. Need more of a basic startup and then drill down to more information.

Overall: Everyday, no problems, no hiccups, no crashes, no unexplained mysteries.

Pros: Call quality sounds good. Calls are well tracked. We like having our call dashboard up to see incoming and ongoing calls.

Cons: I would like more custom reporting and dashboard options. I want to be able to better track how we are doing while showing the live calls on the same dashboard.

Overall: We can call and make calls for our company without the need of a hardline.

I love working with the Jive Communications team as they are always very helpful and friendly.

Pros: It's extremely flexible and we can make changes on the spot. If we have a snow day or are working from out of state, we can have the phones forwarded to our cell phones, etc.. and the clients would never know we weren't in the office. You can also forward calls to a cell phone, so when the boss is on the road, I can forward a client directly to his cell and again, they don't even know he's not in the office.

Cons: Sometimes I struggle with making the changes online (not as intuitive as I require, but then again maybe it's just me), and need to call to request assistance from the Jive Support staf., However, they are great about accommodating my requests and making the changes immediately as needed. Would like more step by step instructions available online so I can do it myself if possible.

Overall: It's seemless and flexible. When our phones and systems (internet) goes down, we can have the phones quickly forwarded to our cell phones and thus, we don't miss any client calls or requests.

Pros: The user portal is by far the best part about this application. We've looked at using other services and decided against it because of the ease of using Jive.

Cons: Jive seems to be growing faster than they can manage at times, when the portal doesn't work as intended it can be hugely frustrating

Pros: The software is easy to use. Customer service is responsive, very well trained and top-notch professional courtesy. The product works great - One service interruption in 1.5 years.

Cons: We cannot get the texting portion of the system to work properly. We have had help from Jive setting it up - may be user error.

Overall: Very user friendly phone system. We can make it do anything a phone should and then some.

Pros: What I like the most is the fact that I have control and plenty of flexibility over the programming of my virtual phone system. Unfortunately it has a learning curve which I have not been able to master yet. But I am working on it.

Cons: What I like the least is the learning curve. It has not been easy to program the answering service. I like the visual effects, but the learning curve is steep and is not always obvious.

Overall: Great value, great product, plenty of flexibility.

We are a small non-profit and the quality and value are exceptional

Pros: Has more than expected. Relatively easy to use. Polite CS agents and great followuo System. Jive has met my expectation on troubling issues.

Cons: Cannot go back to main menu on non answered calls. Little bit of mixup on sales promises and agent documentation on recurring issues.

Pros: Fairly easy to use and the documentation is all there to back it up. Customer service chat is great if there are configuration issues. The wizard provisioning is great because it gets you through the entire process and all you have to do is plug in the phone.

Cons: There are no notifications if you did not save. If we are doing a roll out of a lot of phones that need to be done quickly this can be an issue and saved items could be missed.

I like the customer support, they always respond very quickly and always helpful.

Pros: I can say it's 99% up, and it has become more and more reliable now. I can't remember what's the last time I called them.

Cons: The admin panel is somewhat confusing. Need some time to learn. I have problem to set up the route most of time.

Pros: Simple software to start a small business with remote hosted VOIP. Lots of customization. I'd say there were a lot of features they went for and that's a good thing (mobile/desktop versions of the software).

Cons: The mobile app is awful, constant disconnects and poor quality. The desktop app was a challenging to install and even required a 3rd party option. Had to stick to using standard plastic phones.

Overall: The ability to change any aspect of the company's phone system on the fly from anywhere without having to maintain my own servers.

Pros: The ability to have so much versatility no matter where I am. I can have calls forwarded to my phone and I especially love the voicemail being sent straight to my email, so I can stay connected with customers no matter when/where I am .

Cons: Sometimes sending an e-fax is quite a chore. It took a long time to get the system figured out for sending a fax because you have to do it just right.

Pros: Many features right out of the gate, plus Jive is always adding features and making the solution even better. The pricing is great, granted I am a Not for Profit, but even with that considered, price it yourself as I know you will find it a great value.

Cons: Honestly I had to think about a "Con" because the solution is really great, however, I feel moving a User and reassigning the phone could be a little easier or "cleaner" if you will.

Overall: Administer from anywhere, just need a browser. Easy setup, automation, conference calls, multiple directories....just many, many benefits.

Pros: The concept of VoIP is very flexible and allows me to make and receive calls without even removing my headphones. Jive also has a powerful admin console.

Cons: The instability and inconsistent call quality. We have to use a third party software (Jitsi) through SIP because the Mac app had not been developed (it may be around now), and jitsi has not proven to be very stable.

Jive has the best customer service of any VoIP service I have used.

Pros: The software interface is easy to use and support is always helpful. I haven't had any issues running the interface in any browser.

Cons: It's a little hard to find what you need quickly due to so many features. Their new beta interface cleans this up a bit.

Pros: Ability to make changes while away from the office. Voice mails easy to retrieve.

Cons: Many steps to to remember-need a "cheat sheet" to get through set up process.

Overall: It's nice to be able to change/update voice mail from out of the office. Not a huge fan of the inability to pick up a call on hold (but think that is more our specific phone). Software pretty easy to use once you have done it a few times. Customer Service always very courteous and helpful.

Comments: I'm not really quick on figuring things out but once I call Jive customer service they provide as much support as I select. I can have the customer service tech walk me through changes I want to make or they can do it for me. I really appreciate that! I was able to follow the quick easy steps on recording a sound clip but decided to let the customer support tech change out the sound clips.

Pros: Easy, Online Administrative Tools, Good Customer Service

Overall: We have been using Jive for the past year and have had no problems. Installation was easy and their tech support and customer service are alwasy great to work with. The online control center makes updating our system easy to do as the administrator can access the call plan from anywhere. Jive was also very easy to work with regarding E-Rate. We did not have to wait for out discount once approved.

Comments: I received an email from a client from another state informing me that they cannot reach me when calling my phone number receiving a message that my phone number is not in service. I was able to call them but they could not reach me by phone. I contacted Jive Customer Support, I was told the problem was with the other carrier not recognizing Jive and the other party would have to contact their carrier. I responded that it's not the customers problem, this is my problem. Jive attempted to contact the other carrier but was not successful to resolve the issue as the other carrier would not return their several requests to add Jive to their system. This concerns me if customers don't have an accepted carrier to Jive calls are not coming through to my office.

Comments: I shopped and compared all of the major VOIP providers. Price and functionality were the two main components. I also wanted to use our current SIP phones, which ruled out some of the bigger VOIP providers. I have never heard of Jive but they did come up on some VOIP review sites. I took a look at their website and appreciated the no-nonsense pricing structure. It was not a la carte so all of the functionality was available from the beginning. The price was extremely reasonable given the all inclusive pricing.

Pros:
1. Onboarding was smooth and professional with constant communication from Account Reps.
2. All inclusive pricing, so you could use as many features as you want without exorbitant fees.
3. Pricing is a bargain compared to other VOIP providers and is clear and simple with no billing surprises.
4. Their Dial Plan (how calls are handled) is one of the best. It is very easy and intuitive to use and makes creating a Dial Plan a whole lot easier.
5. Customer Service is quick to respond and works diligently to resolve any issues you may have.
6. We have been using it for close to half a year and the call quality has been great.

Cons:
1. It has limited integration with other SaaS offerings. It does integrate with Salesforce which many companies do use.

I've looked, researched and spoke with many VOIP providers. I went on to try a few, but Jive is hands down the best in performance, price and features.

Overall: Initially we had several issues with the service due to routing issues. Once I created a VLAN for the voice traffic, everything smoothed out. Our initial installation support was mediocre, but the support line since then has been very help full. Also, on billing it seems that the taxes and fees are quite high, as compared to my previous carrier.

Overall: We are not techies here but we have spent an unreasonable amount of time working through issues that get fixed and then mysteriously reoccur. Still trying to fix issues although we are about to give up. In the last week alone, our receptionist has spent over 2 hours on the phone with JIVE and the issues are still not fixed. We long for our 20 year old AT&T system that worked fine!

Pros: Always current. Not having to plan, prepare and budget for upgrades is a big relief.

Cons: If bandwidth becomes an issue things can get a little choppy.

Overall: Customer service is great and the system works great and is always current. Installation sometimes is a bit rocky. While price is not always the main factor there have been times AT&T was less than 1/2 the price. That big of a difference makes it an issue.

Overall: We knew that while transitioning to a VoIP system, there would be glitches along the way, but JIVE's approach to customer service when a problem occurs is too cumbersome and time intensive. We are a small school district and have experienced numerous instances when the phone system was down which is a serious safety concern. Instead of having a single contact person, we have to communicate via conference calls or group emails. I believe that this prolongs the issue and creates more frustration.

Overall: Having switched from the phone company to RingCentral, we were happy, but they kept pressuring us into buying up and customer support was ok. We switched to JIVE and it's the best move we could have made. They have great customer support and the best bang for your buck. Their web based programming is easy to use and easy to change when needed. We use the Yealink phones and have had no problems using them with very little down time compared to what we had.

The smart phone based application is basic and wish it had a few more bells and whistles, but it does just fine.

Would definitely recommend this company.

Comments: Jive is not the cheapest option out there, but is worth the extra cost for the reliability and level of support. We use their phones at three locations and have been very pleased. I wish they had some features that other phone systems offer (like placing an automated out-going call if someone leaves a message in an emergency mailbox), but it is a solid platform for the features they do offer.

Comments: I like many of Jive's products, because they are easy to use, and a value for the money. I most especially liked the original dashboard with Jive's logo; that is Jive's trademark and it should not be left on the shelf, for an undefined look. I don't like the new ticketing nor survey system, it does not reference the trouble ticket number, the customer name or the Jive rep's name. I would like to see Jive become more agile. I would like to see a suggestion box offered on the website, along with a reward if Jive uses the idea. The customer support team as a whole is outstanding! They are quick to respond and most are always willing to help!! I like to do business with a company whereby the nucleus is customer satisfaction first :-)

Overall: I'm in accounting and knows nothing about setting up and managing phone systems, etc. but I was charged with handling this task, due to under staffing. Jive walked me through everything and made it so easy for me, you'd think I'm the go-to phone system manager. Nevertheless, the service so far (since June '16) is great. The Customer Service is always prompt and courteous (huge +), and I can definitely say I'm completely satisfied with this company.

Overall: We have been using Jive for about 6 months now and love how easy and functional the system is. If you can think it up, you can do it with the Jive User Portal!

Comments: Jive has been a great product for our company to recommend to our clients. We help clients determine telecom solutions and then support them going forward. The Jive support staff has been great to work with getting quotes, set up/install. The product has been easy to use for my customers. I became very comfortable with the admin portal quickly. The reason I have given only 4 stars in a few areas is that when I first began using it, they were testing a soft client so a physical phone would not be necessary, and that did not happen, so to my knowledge, there is no desktop client which would be preferred by some. All in all, I like the Jive product and continue to recommend it.

Pros: Already submitted a lengthy review.

Cons: Lack of mature software client and consequently cost.

Overall: I didn't spend a ton of time testing for two reasons. A softphone web client was in beta and there wasn't a lot to test. The second reason is for the cost I didn't feel I was getting much for my money due to the lack of a fully functional softphone. I felt Jive was way behind on the software side yet still charging a significant amount of money. I opted to go with 3CX which is significantly less expensive and offers a similar feature set. I feel that Jive has potential to be great but they need to get there fast. There are three areas in my opinion where Jive could differentiate them from their competitors:
1. Make the hard phone and soft phone fully integrated so that when you pick up the handset on the hard phone the soft phone also opens a line and vice versa. Look at Mitel's UC agent. They did a great job on this.
2. Make the soft phone web version easy for a receptionist to use. Deploy the web version to companies that take over a 100 calls in a day and take the feedback seriously.
3. This seems like a small feature but I believe that it is an important one. I found that not many cloud VoIP solutions can play a beep when doing an announced/warm transfer. When the receptionist hands off the call the person taking the call has no idea when the call was actually transferred. It's an annoying feature that just makes sense and should be there. I believe it is a feature found more in traditional PBX systems and has been lost.
4. A big negative for me was the lack of control over updates. I had RingCentral and the Polycom updates that were pushed out were not good and changed the way our receptionist was able to handle calls. If you could figure out a way to allow the administrators control over when and how updates get pushed out you would have a huge advantage. It would be ideal to be able to deploy to a pilot group of users to see how the new update is going to affect users before pushing it out to the entire company. With 3CX I can at least plan for when I want to do the update and give users a warning. I can also wait a few weeks and see if other people are having issues with the updates before I decide to push them out.

Lastly, find a way to get your price down. I know you are competitive but with systems like 3CX that can be placed in the cloud I see no value add going with Jive.

Most important, listen to your user community and put a system in place that allows them to contribute to the product.

Cons: Phone app sometimes drops calls but might be because of internet / wireless tower switch

Overall: Awesome experience with the hosted PBX Service, from the initial quote, ordering process, quality of the equipment, installation, tech support with set up and follow up.
Very happy with the service and support.

Overall: Fax quality is not the best. Also some of our phones are hard for new employees to learn and they have to be unplugged periodically because all lights will blink and they go offline. I have previously put in a work order for both issues.

Overall: The phone system works great. I love that you have an app for Android and iPhone that allows you to have an office extension on your cell phone. People you call will see the call as coming from your office and will not have your cell phone. I LOVE the Web-based business texting. This feature could be improved by: 1) allowing contact syncing with Outlook; 2) Allowing MMS (with attachments) and not just SMS. But here again, it is great to be able to text from the business number and receive texts to that number. It creates stability.

Comments: Been using this service for years. I was the one who recommended this product to my new company. I hate that you guys dont have your own voip softphone. The one you used to replace Jive mobility sucks. If you offer voip its always necessary it comes with softphone. Otherwise, it would be costly to get your service and a good softphone to work together.

Pros: It's easy to use. A feature we particularly like is being able to host conference calls in house.

Cons: As with any VOIP product, you are dependent on uninterrupted internet service, which can be an issue at times.

Overall: We have had Jive in our office since our IT provider recommended them several years ago. We have consistently been happy with the services from Jive.

Comments: Sometimes the best thing a company can offer is forgetting about them. Seriously, you know something works well when you can completely forget about the system and just work! The quality is great, the features are very useful. My only complaint would be connecting my FAX machine, but that doesn't matter for most people because they have an eFaxing solution! If you want to get rid of your old analog phone line and move to the next generation, this is a great option. Just beware, your FAX machine may still be stuck in the last one. If eFAXing isn't for you, I would suggest keeping your FAX line analog. That being said, as a phone solution, this is amazing!

Overall: We have been working with Jive for 3 years, so far we have not had any major problems. The customer service is phenomenal, and the tech service is good.
