### "Unresponsive customer service"

I opened a customer service ticket on May 12th regarding problems I'm having getting Insightly to import new contacts from my Google address book. The problem is still unresolved, and I haven't heard a word from their customer service since June 9th despite repeated emails to them.

Pros

You get access to quite a lot of features even with the free version so it doesn't feel like the free version is just a stripped out trial version.

Cons

A few of the integrations offered like G Suite and MailChimp don't seem to work the way I would expect them too although I admit that may be more of a user issue.

Having the CRM & Transaction management together is wonderful!

Pros

CRM & transaction management in one program, integrates well with gmail, ability to customize, email task reminders, mobile app

Cons

Since the new upgrades were released, they have nested information together rather than having a separate button for notes, tasks, files etc. It's cumbersome to get to Notes & they are automatically sorted oldest first so I'm always having to resort them to get to the most recent. Tasks are jumbles in with emails instead of having each separate. Frustrating!

Good collection and organization of data. Powered up with some integrations its a wonderful CRM to get some real business value.

Pros

I like the diversity of the data provided and search capabilities are pretty wonderful too. Leveraging the data is pretty easy across the key departments.

Cons

Flexibility is limited. The drag and drop functionality seems a little more difficult than say other similar drag and drop functions like Tableau. But this isn't the best reporting tool, so it gets the job done for collecting and organizing data.

We used Insightly when we started our business and it was helpful to keep track of all the clients. I also like that it has an app as well.

Pros

I liked that I could link different emails I needed to send out to clients. Those automated emails saved me time.

Cons

I feel like the software was pretty basic stuff. I don't have any real complaints, it got the job done that I needed it to.

Pros

Insightly is a great All-in-one tool to help you manage your business. This CRM can do it all. I like how we can keep all of our clients and leads in one place. As well, we can have tasks for day to day operations to be able to stay on top of our work. The amount of things you can do with insightly is incredible.

Cons

With all of the things that are possible with insightly, it can be a little overwhelming when you first start to use it. But, after practice, it becomes very easy to use and navigate.

Pros

I recently started using Insightly to streamline my business and it has been a game-changer. It's so easy to use, with all the features I need in one place. The customer service is top notch and they are always willing to help me out when I need it. I'm so glad that I found Insightly, it has made my life so much easier!

Cons

Although the API method itself is effective, the documentation could benefit from the inclusion of example return responses. This would provide greater clarity and understanding of the responses that can be expected from the API. Overall, the tool appears to be well-designed and efficient.

### "Back end doesn't match the front end"

Overall, we ended up ditching Insightly. I'm glad we did.

Pros

Initially, I liked their front-end sales pitch and pricing. That, unfortunately, was pretty much the best of it.

Cons

The back end of Insightly is terrible. The interface looks like something from 1998. The icons are goofy and the learning curve is terrible.

Overall, I'd really recommend considering Insightly. It has made a significant difference in my small business and has certainly kept me more organized. As my company grows, Insightly grows with me--and that's something I really value in a software solution.

Pros

Insightly does everything I need a CRM to do without paying a single dollar. For a solo business owner like me, that's huge. It lets me keep track of my customers and prospects without limiting functionality or putting up a pay wall. It's also worth noting that I originally chose Insightly because it integrates with a lot of other software I currently use or plan to use in the future.

Cons

If you haven't used a CRM system before, it can be a little confusing to use. I imagine Insightly will be a first CRM system for many entrepreneurs/freelancers, so just be aware of that.

I really needed a way to synchronize all my events keep track of clients... Overall inslightly is okay and much better than nothing but I've had some problems. The first thing that surprised me was that the web based Inslightly calendar does not synchronize with Inslightly app. I had a big problem composing an email and clicking out of it to get information from the link then coming back to it and seeing that it was gone. There was no draft folder and no way to preserve what I had written so I had to start all over again. Very frustrating. I am also repeatedly having to log back in which is time-consuming and frustrating. On one occasion and I composed an email and sent it to my client only to find out that he received a blank email. Again, No drafts folder and no copy of the email I had composed, but I've watched it disappear.

Pros

I like being able to link events with clients.

Cons

I can't use the native contacts in Mac, I have to input new Contacts by hand. I would like to see you it synchronize better with calendar and other Apple related products. I also really don't like not being able to share calendars. My assistant can enter an event and I don't see it... What good is that?

Insightly might offer the best bang for your buck when it comes to CRMs. The ease of use is great and the layout/design is very clean. I would mainly use the system for staying on top of tasks and project management. The only downside compared to other CRMs is the email function, which I found to be limited.

Pros

Easy to use, intuitive design, and the certain functions like the task list, calendar, and project management tools were top notch.

Cons

If you plan to do a lot of email marketing, this may not be the CRM for you. Email blasts were not really an option with Insightly.

I started with Insighly about 3 months ago and everything seemed to be going well. When purchasing the package they made sure and called me everyday to get me signed up. However, (3 months later) the site is now broken down. I can not transfer e-mails from the side bar. Huge problem. Tried calling customer service and they said to E-MAIL the support team. That's fine but it would be nice to talk to a warm soul. So basically I have been out of service with Insightly for a month and a half. The response i got from the support e-mail is "the technicians are working on it to fix the problem" ...... A one line answer.

Pros

I like the system ...It works for me ....I am a recruiter and it really keeps me organized

Cons

If it would work I could use it .....but I paid for the entire year and now I feel like I got ripped off.

Pros

I love the functionality of it along with the ability to lead projects with my team. It would be helpful if there were some "how to start" training videos I could give to anyone new to the team.

Cons

It's not really a con, it's more the fact that it offers so many functions that it's hard to keep up at times.

Pros

Insightly is an absolutely incredible piece of software, using SaaS based CRM solution which links together contacts, email, social media. It gave us soo much "insight" in to our Customer Journeys and relationship tracking.

Cons

The cost of this product does increase quite significantly the more features you want - not all of them being useful. However, overall the core of this software is incredible!

Insightly is incredibly easy to set up and implement for a small team. The ability to combine CRM and Project Management is very useful.

Cons

Learning curve for non technical people is difficult. There are a couple of extra steps involved for each operation that could be streamlined for new users.

They have great customer service. If you want to upgrade. If you want to cancel your account good luck finding someone to speak with. Be very careful before you give them your credit card. Our team found it easy to get started but hard to do the things they wanted to do within the app. Features rolled out slowly as compared to many Saas apps we use asa business. Buyer beware.

Pros

Easy to get started. weak functionality & google apps integration. Slow feature rollouts. Horrendous customer service.

Cons

Really really bad customer service. Continued charging me 3 months after I cancelled my account and I'm still trying to have them to stop charging me and issue my refund.

Pros

I liked that it held all my contacts in one place but that's about it. It just wasn't right for my needs.

Cons

I use mailchimp and the integration was not good for me. I ended up spending hours just getting all the contacts from insightly to mailchimp when I ran out of free space because insightly just didn't make sense for me anymore. There were a lot of features and several seemed like a great addition but they confused me and I had no use.

Integration with other apps, including Quickbooks.

Pros

The best part of it is the integrations. The apps you can integrate with are perfect for the operations of a sales team, or any team! We used it with the staff at our church and it worked great! we had the free version for couple of years now until we upgraded. Truly it is a great app. Also it syncs with the iPhone app. This is 100% recommended if you use Google suite.

Cons

The only Con is the price. For a small company maybe is ok with a few users. But medium companies maybe will struggle with that price per user. But if your sales can take it in, no problem. You have to really get all that you can get from the app.

Insightly works well with Gmail. If you already use Gmail everyday, the insightly Gmail gadget will make your life a dream. Also, the ability build workflows and assign tasks in insightly is very well executed. The ability to integrate with quickbooks online, and mail chimp make this a powerful crm for enterprising small businesses (like mine)

Cons

There is nothing I could single out as disliking. Perhaps the limited number of custom fields I can develop. I am in the insurance business, and we store many many data points on our clients, far and away beyond the simple birth date or expiration date. It would be nice to be able to customize some of the data fields to round our our client information.

Cons

Customer support was not that helpful. The biggest con, however, was Insightly's very slow, if at all, efforts to implement users' ideas.

Cons

I would have liked a stronger duplicate checker that would prevent us from creating duplicate accounts.
