I like that most of the features are relatively easy to use and customize. Our organization uses this software for both CRM and project management.

Cons

The reporting capabilities are a challenge to use sometimes, but it's my understanding that they are actively working to improve these features.

Overall Insightly is an affordable CRM that is intuitive to use (for its most basic features) but also has a slightly steeper learning curve to truly grasp all of its capabilities.

Pros

Insightly is a powerful, affordable CRM that has all the necessary features for a small business. The feature that my team finds most beneficial is the task assigning and tracking to make sure our 'to do lists' are getting done.

Cons

Insightly could use offer more social media and email integration. My organization would like all customer email communication to be sent with Insightly but we are not able to because of the limited emailing capabilities.

Cons

Sometimes there is so much information that I end up seeing duplicate accounts.

Our company used nightly for about a year. It helped us keep projects organized by allowing us to outline the steps, assign people to tasks, and send automatic reminders.

Pros

It's ability to organize projects, assign tasks to people, and house all the information in one shareable place is useful. It also has the ability to take an email and make it a task.

Cons

It's useful but overall we found it wasn't "easy" enough to use and it wasn't adopted consistently among everyone in our Company.

I like the free version.

Pros

Visually, this is a really great app. I liked that there was a really good way to keep track of a sales flow. Email tracking and templates. Great reporting capabilities. Expanded workflow management mobile apps.

Cons

Lead assignment rules only available to paid plans. No automatic email forwarding. Lead and contact information split into separate tabs. Pipelines not available for leads.

Pros

Seems to be plenty of functionality. There is a lot of reporting features, you can find any name any time, whether it's a Lead or Contact.

Cons

I would like to see it pop up a calendar when I add a task to see if I'm colliding with another appt. Also, the app is not totally useless, but almost. I cannot send formatted emails from the mobile app. What good is it to get a lead when out of the office when you cannot send the proper response from your mobile device? Terrible. I know there are valued differences between Leads and Contacts, but to be honest I think it confuses the operator, me.

Pros

The searching is pretty simple, it's very easy to search across different fields (search for tasks, contacts, organizations, notes, etc. all at once).

Cons

Sorting your tasks by different filters is a little clunky. There are also places where they missed an opportunity to link to a higher level, like if you're looking at the notes to a task it can be hard to get to the main page for that contact without losing were you were in the task.

Pros

Insightly is easy to use and get going. I liked the flexibility of sales, relationships, and projects, and they've done a great job updating and focusing on various industries. I also like how it would integrate pictures and some aspects of LinkedIn.

Cons

I tried insightly for a few months but had some issues. The first was manual input of data - I had to do this a lot, and caused many issues when I noticed later a few errors and duplicates. It's also very focused on sales, but we weren't looking for a sales tool but to manage many complicated relationships. I didn't find the features I needed to manage many pipelines and have multiple contacts/companies on a deal. I'll admit this was over a year ago, so they may have improved this.

### "Don’t waste your time"

I have “tried” to use Insightly for 2 years, I paid for extra service, extra training and increased my software package. 100% Failed! Software is not tested or ready - But they still take your money! Phone APP duplicates your contacts but the PC Version does not. If you delete 1 of the duplicated mobile contacts you are now deleted all your contacts including PC. Weak customer service hides behind emails and never answers your questions always looking into it. What a joke!

Pros

None, it’s Cheap but I would rather pay more to make it work just a little. To leave this message, they require more “pros”

Cons

Everything. You actually lose money after all the time it takes to teach them how to make a real software. 2 years lost! I am changing away from Insightly.

Pros

The software had broad functionality, so it was able to capture lots of information.

Cons

Not user friendly, too cluttered, a salesperson ends up spending way too much time navigating a complicated CRM instead of talking to clients and leads.

Cons

It is NOT really labeled for our purposes, we have to use some of the items for another type of industry. But we make do. It is just been a learning and coordinating curve.

Pros

It seems to have many features, and many things are possbile. I also see a lot of third-party integrations possible.

Cons

There are many features, and many configurations and I'm a bit confused as to how to configure or customize it to my needs. There is no live chat support, which leaves me in a hard position to get the most out of the software.

On occasion there are glitches with assigning tasks (it doesn't save them to the company you've assigned them to).

I highly recommend Insightly for small to medium sized businesses. I first got to know Insightly several years ago. Our company was established but was doing business all around the country off of spreadsheets! We needed a CRM. We looked at several other options (including SalesForce), but Insightly was right for us. I'm with a new company now and within two months of my hire we ditched Infusionsoft and went with Insightly. Transferring the data from one database to this new one was easy for a non-tech person to do. A good mobile app that goes anywhere with you. Good report generating functions. Great tutorials and videos. It doesn't have all the advanced bells and whistles that some of the big programs have, that's not what these businesses needed.

Pros

Easy to learn and use. Has plug ins that are very helpful, we use it with MailChimp and QuickBooks Online. Very affordable and has lots of functionality. It helps us keep track of all we need to get done.

Cons

It takes a while to learn some of the more advanced features. Plug ins could be more seamless, but that will come in time, I'm sure!

Well customer supports that can answer our questions or set up a meeting to further discussion. Well CRM that fit our company needs. Product design perspective is close to our mission to serve our customer well.

Pros

All records can turn into metrics. We can pick the todo list to show as grid view or Kanban view. Customize each task that has created can assign to different people to work on.

Cons

Insightly doesn't provide the checklist for the project card. Attachment the images or screenshots, it is not order by descending so we have to go through paging. If I'm on the view project card details page, their description field sometimes display on the left side, sometimes shows on the right side. Kanban view the project card assigned person is not showing on the card view.

Helps with daily job duties and due dates. Also keeps contacts and opportunities organized.

Pros

Tasks stay organized and I am able to keep in touch with our real estate clients in San Francisco with ease.

Cons

Can't see a detailed history of tasks. I would prefer to see when someone changes a task or when my tasks are done. It would be nice to be able to go back and see which day I completed a task.

Pros

Full featured CRM with a great custom visual pipeline creator. Easy to use Support team is responsive.

Cons

Linking emails to customer/event records is time consuming. When I used this software there was gmail plugin, so every time I got an email from a customer/prospect I would have to manually link it in order for it to be part of the records.

Pros

So much can be done with one website and you don't have to use lots of different websites together to get the same results.

Seems to be geared toward "groups, projects, events". I am a salesperson, not a member of a project.

Pros

I like the mobile accessibility. And the integration with Panda Docs- however not a perfect solution. When making multiple quotes, each one is titled by the name of the template- not the doc name so you could look at an opprotuity and see 4 different quotes all with the exact same name.

Cons

To hard to quickly get to where I need to be. Too many screens for the same thing i.e. lead, contact, organization, opportunity. And separate notes for each category. Email seems unreliable.

I would recommend finding a product that is more robust and has proper support. The investment of time in setting up any CRM system for your business means that you need to choose the right one from the start and with all of its technical glitches and lack of support, this is one the one i would recommend to anyone.

Pros

Relatively easy to use and covers most main functionality you would want in a basic CRM tool with a decent amount of integrations to common third party tools

Cons

Scratch beneath the surface of the functionality and you soon find that there are odd and annoying glitches in the way the functionality works and its not very intuitive. Also, some advertised functionality just doesn't work and support consists of email replied that just tell you they're working on the issue (I've had one for over 2 months and another for 6 weeks without resolution on pretty key functionality not working). Given the 'no refund' policy and unhelpful support it feels like a con.

Pros

I love the way I can access my emails, events and notes by multiple channels including opportunities, projects, contacts or companies. As a company with two principals, this has everything we need in a CRM to share information.

Cons

Linking my calendar is the most difficult part of this software but even that is not that big of deal.
