In general, the product is easy to learn and use. It has the potential to be great with just a few changes, but the programmers don't see the possibilities.

Pros

Great cost. Fairly powerful CRM system and reasonably intuitive to use.

Cons

Whenever you push events from your Google calendar to Insightly, the Insightly calendar makes it private with no display of time, so nobody else can see it. It just disappears for everyone else. Likewise, any event you put on Insightly marked private doesn't show on the calendar as busy. It just disappears for everyone else. So, this bug makes the calendar essentially useless for showing team member availability and for scheduling. It also prevents other scheduling app integrations from functioning properly. Tasks are simply Events that don't have a start and end time. Events should act just like Tasks and be reported the same way. A simple solution is to scrap Events altogether and simply take the code used to create beginning and ending times on Events and apply that to Tasks as an option. The Task reports and all its functionality are great. Events is a little better, but generally poor. It's not needed if the features of Events are simply added to Tasks. This would make managing tasks and events in projects incredibly easy and much better than now. Right now, you have to use another program to manage simple workflows because this is so inadequate and inflexible. To fix this and make it far better only requires a couple of simple tweaks. Project management is not great. They haven't figured out the advantages of drag and drop.

Our daily task scheduling, contact database management and tracking our sales have been simplified by Insightly so thank you to the makers of this software.

Pros

Insightly has given us an ability to keep track of all our sales and all our clients' contact details so that we can contact anyone promptly. It is one of the bets CRM softwares and it is free for limited users and we don't need more users in our company so this software has become very useful to us.

Cons

There is not much cons but just one that we have found. Email integration could be improved. Other than that it is fine.

Insightly is my favorite CRM. I love the app version, and I am able to connect Insightly with other apps. It offers great value for the product, and customer support is good, and responsive.

Pros

I love Insightly because it has a clean look that is easy on the eyes, and it is a very intuitive CRM, unlike many others that can overwhelm or be confusing.

Cons

Hard to think of many drawbacks with this CRM. Sometimes I wish the community pages and discussion boards were more lively.

Small Australian NFP Charity that manufacturers custom disability solutions. Insightly enabled us to have a custom CRM and project management system all in one, for a 20th of the cost as other systems. We are learning things all the time and continually improving our process. The only thing I wish Insightly would do is not have their live seminars at 1am or 4am Canberra time (+10), other then that really happy.

Pros

Easily adaptable workflows, and the tags make it easy to sort through all the data. For us the tags are amazing as we can sort through our hundreds of volunteers by skill and location, to quickly and easily assign to projects.

Cons

I wish the reporting features where as intuitive as the rest of the app.

### "Decent software option that gets the job done"

The search function is pretty limited. Also it does not scan for duplicates or similar leads that are duplicates

Pros

I work in sales and we are constantly qualifying leads, setting appointments, and then moving them along in the sales process. I like that it has a mobile app and it gets the job done.

Cons

I can't stand that you cannot mass delete the #tags feature.

Pros

I've been using it for over a year now and it has helped me manage my team's leads, organize events, and keep in touch with my prospects. The ease of use is fantastic, the customer service is amazing, and it's a great tool for any size organization. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new CRM!

Cons

Some more filter option can be improve. There is no way to delete multiple files from each customer record

### "Move along, nothing to see here"

I wish we had tested Insightly much more strenuously before proceeding with purchase of this software. I guess we just didn't know what we didn't know, and so when the linking issue (or non-linking issue) because glaringly apparent, we had already finished the trial period. We just (wrongly) assumed that a feature so integral to an effective customer relationship package would work!

Pros

It has been convenient for our company's internal tracking of sales rep opportunity closes/losses. Also the reports are nicely customizable, so calculating commissions due is simplified for our small business.

Cons

The complete absence of functional linking between emails, organizations, and individuals renders this "Contact Relationship" software a total bust. Technical support has know about the issue for well over a year, but it's not really a "priority" to them. They make lots of ineffectual suggestions, tossing the issue back in the lap of the end-user, but none of the "fixes" actually work. You must link all emails, manually, to each contact, organization, and opportunity, if you want to be assured of a linking relationship.

Helps me keep track of all my customers and manage their lifecycles. Gives me insight into my customer base with basic reports

Pros

I like Insightly's ease of use, its UI, and the fact that it is fairly flexible for building it out for different use cases. That's very important with CRMs; the degree to which you can customize it without paying a lot extra. I think insightly is aimed at smaller operations, and it does help you to be able to organize and manage your customers much better than not having a CRM at all. I'm able to track the relationship history and communication with each of my customers in one place.

Cons

The functionality is a little limited if you start wanting to do more advanced things, so if you start really growing or you plan to grow fast, you may want to give more thought to your selection. I find myself going through a lot (what I feel) are unnecessary menus and screens; too many clicks to get to the information I need. In that way informational organization and navigation feels a bit clunky.

### "Almost Perfect - But not quite!"

After using many CRM systems from Salesforce, Zoho, Apptivo, Pipeline Deals, Pipedrive, Base CRM and more, Insightly is a 'breath of fresh air' (even though that is getting a bit stale lately - more on that shorty). Frankly, after looking at many of these systems, I was tempted to design and create my own system (I have been a software engineer for 30 years and own a software development firm as one of my companies). Yet I decided to give Insightly the last shot. It works great - almost the way I would have designed. There are some weaknesses as well, most of all the lack of the support teams response to multiple request of the same kind and promising future fixes that 'are just not coming'. That all said, Insightly is well rounded, has lots of integration options and works very well for most CRM needs, especially around customer service, contacting, tracking and task planing. Even light weight project management is included in 2 different forms - pipelines or more traditional but more complicated to use project management optionsl

Pros

Here are just a few pros: \* Easy to use and learn \* Integrated Light Weight Project Management \* Fast Response \* Great note taking \* Easy task tracking \* Great for sales cycles and customer service alike \* Useful Integrations \* Better User Interface than most (every tried Salesforce and couldn't find anything?)

Cons

A couple of Cons: \* Service - The guys and gals at Insightly need to learn to listen and pass information 'up the management chain' \* Task and Event Handling need improvement as reported by many clients \* Need fully functional 2-way sync with Google Calendar \* Need real workflow functionality instead of clunky Project Management (to their defense, lots of systems 'miss this one')

Pros

It's easy to create and manage tasks for each client and you can assign them to different team members. Being able to add tags for the category of the task (marketing, sales, content, etc) make it to sort through tasks and prioritize.

Cons

Since this software can also be used to track progress in the sales funnel there are multiple places to store company information. This can get confusing when incomplete information is saved in different areas.

### "Simple CRM - but a little confusing"

I like the product, been using it for 3 years, but dislike the search interface and functionality and lack of phone support.

Pros

Cloud based so it’s available everywhere, Insightly nicely tracks your sales efforts. Use the google chrome extension or better yet - bcc - your Insightly internal email and all of your correspondence send up in the system creating new contacts and organizations automatically. Pretty slick. Go back in and add notes and schedule follow up tasks.

Cons

Searching is confusing. If I search for a phone number to see if I have already contacted this person and the phone. Number is not found, a list of all contacts is returned instead is a not found message. Seems that whenever our team tries to see if that contact is in our database already we don’t get acccurate results. Maybe it’s us but this is 3 people that are relatively intelligent and all having the same frustration. I looked for a support number to speak with someone to see what we are doing wrong - doesnt exist.

Pros

The most attractive thing about Insightly when I was using it was the price. The 1st level paid service was worth the money.

Cons

Insighlty was awkward to manage and did not offer the automation of pushing tasks along.

In short I would say all these features are good enough to maintain my workflow in a very stunning way.

Pros

For me the basic features that helps in growth of my sales is it’s email services that allows me to send multiple emails at a time to multiple people in my contact list. Furthermore, the integration power of this application is quite unique that enables me to work simultaneously on different useful applications.

Cons

I like each and every feature of this product as it provides me benefits in all aspects. I am a big fan of it. So truly I am having no complains at all.

The CRM tool does what's required, but the UX/UI isn't intuitive to me. It happens too often that I need to click too many buttons to get done what I wanted.

Pros

Compared to other tools out there it's priced very reasonably. The graphical design (colours etc). are nice.

Cons

The User Experience/User Interface. It doesn't work as intuitive as other CRM systems I've experienced so far.

Pros

Being able to track information on hundreds and thousands of accounts is very convenient. It feels a little bit like a search engine sometimes, but the data we can store is incredibly beneficial to our business. Would not be able to do our jobs without this program or one like it

Cons

Because of the large number of accounts, we have to rely on the search function to find accounts, and sometimes that can be finnicky when the information I've been given to find an account doesn't pull anything up.

Insightly makes managing client relationships, prospecting, and marketing as simple as a single, fully-integrated platform that allows you to utilize and compare insights across all of those arms of your business.

Pros

Its seamless integration across all devices and its full feature platform that functions not only as a CRM, but also a project manager, lead router, and marketing automation hub. It is the one-stop shop for pretty much every internal software every business needs.

Cons

Because of its multi-faceted functionalities there can be a bit of a learning curve associated with onboarding the product, and it also can get relatively expensive compared to other CRMs. Although, once you factor in the fact that it replaces several other tools you are likely already paying for, the value makes up for itself quickly.

We finally have a CRM that fits our budget, is easy to use, integrates with our other company software, and has all the features we need.

Pros

I love the simplicity of the user interface, user experience, administrator experience, and company setup. I can't say enough how easy it is to use Insightly and how powerful its features are. It is very easy to integrate with other software such as Xero and Mailchimp. Don't let the ease of use fool you, there is a ton of functionality under the hood.

Cons

I wish I could customize the user interface more than just putting in a company logo. Being able to select the main color instead of orange is the feature I want the most. Considering I have very little criticism about this product should speak to it's quality.
