Pros: IBM Notes has a bunch of features built in such as, calendar client, audio/video conferencing and set of databases to create mailing groups. Notes is also accessible on the web and on both iOS and android.

Cons: IBM Notes takes up a lot of resources and causes strain on battery, video chatting app is outdated and freezes a lot.

Pros: I use IBM notes at work often. It provides you many different opition and I love using sametime chat for it.

Cons: Since I work as IT intern I negative about IBM Notes is that it is really buggy and sometimes you have to disable webcams or it wont stop crashing when we are launching

Comments: Lotus notes does work, but is outdated for an email system. It isn't modern and requires lots of administration. Not ready for the modern world.

Comments: My positive experience is attachment printing controlling feature is the best feature of Lotus Notes. But calendar view of meeting room booking status sometimes seems to be cumbersome. It takes little longer time to find out who booked any particular room on a particular day. I used it's 8.5 version but there is an upgrade (version 9.0) is going on where many new features like social media integration, email archiving, etc. are going to help day to day business.

Pros: Flexibility, easy to add programs/databases, IM function works well, ability to segregate emails into different folders.

Cons: Can be difficult to navigate...getting to your Workspace for databases and applications. Stability...I have at least 1 crash a quarter.

Overall: I have used Notes for many years with 3 different companies. Notes have some very good features - easy to add databases, the IM feature, To Do lists, etc. Stability sometimes has been an issue...it will want to crash and then recover, which could take a little while. I think it is a B product!

Recommendations to other buyers: This is a good program for large companies or corporations...a bit overkill for a small business.
