Pros: Like most job search sites, ZipRecruiter has the expected features for filling out a profile and uploading a resume. It does, however, have some really great standout features. The tailored suggested job notifications seem to really be in line with the types of positions that are appropriate based on recent searches or key-words. Far too often job alerts from other job search sites are a bit or way off-base from what the intended search goal is. The feature I like best is the notifications that alert you if your resume has been viewed, or if a viewer has given a thumbs up. Additionally, the metrics offered when a resume is viewed multiple times is great. For example, an alert may say "Your resume was viewed a second time - only 25% of applicants have a second view." I think this helps applicants keep a positive outlook and return to using the product. With other job search sites, after sending a resume, you are left in the dark. To top it off, this information is available whether you use the website or the ZipRecruiter mobile app. I use the Android version of the app, and the ZipRecruiter notifications are notifications I look forward to.

Cons: ZipRecruiter offers quite a full-featured job search product, and it is my favorite. If there was an area for improvement, I would say it is the references section. It would be nice to be able to either link to existing references and carry them over (for example via Linkedin) or copy and paste a reference with contact info for verification as an additional option rather than only having the option to ask for a reference.

Overall: I am still evaluating the benefits, however, based on the features I have seen so far, and the ease of use - compared to the rest, it is currently the goto job search/employment application.

Pros: I have used ZipRecruiter to search and apply for many jobs, not only for me but for my husband as well. Here's what I love the most about it:

- The ease of finding a job and location using the search tool.

- The positions recommendations it gives (which leads to many other potential positions I may overlook), even in nearby locations of the zipcode I input.

- The "Quick Apply" feature which saves me a ton of time of not having to enter my information again and again.

- The ability to check back and look at all the "Applied Jobs" I've applied to. This gives me a way to check on the status of my application. Most importantly, I am able to see if the employer has or has not viewed my application.

Cons: Personally, I don't think the "Am I Qualified?" button is very helpful. I've tried it before, but it would have me enter my email and yet I wouldn't receive anything. Also, many times I would get an email that says that ZipBot has a message waiting for me and when I press on the link to check my messages on my account, I don't find any. Even when the message icon is clearly showing me that there are messages waiting for me, I can never seem to find any when I press on it. Also, I used to get a lot of emails about job recommendations which would completely overload my inbox. Yes, I would like to receive job recommendations to apply for, but not the amount that I was being sent on a daily basis. I wish there was an option to limit those.

Overall: If you are looking for a fast and easy experience for looking/applying for jobs, ZipRecruiter should definitely be the first place you look at! It is one of my favorite job search engines out there, as it allows me to look at numerous job openings all at once. Saving some positions to apply to later can definitely come in handy when I need to be somewhere else, but if the quick apply option is there, that cuts down on my time and with just a click I am all done.

Pros: ZipRecruiter is easy to use and it does provide a decent amount of employment opportunity postings.

Cons: My biggest issue with ZipRecruiter is the reliability of the employment opportunities listed. Many times I have seen job postings and clicked on them only to find that they were actually misleading staffing agency postings that were posted in order to lure people into applying for a job that did not exist. Also, I did often find job postings that did not fit within the search range that I had put in as far as the date of the job posting was concerned.

Overall: While zip recruiter did help me find many job postings, the postings that came up in my searches did not always apply to the position that I was looking for nor did they necessarily apply to the search dates and I was therefor often shown postings for jobs that were more than a month old and would likely not even be available anymore. The site was not nearly as helpful in finding a job as I thought it would be.

Pros: As a company, we needed to hire employees who had experience in our industry and we needed to hire quickly. I turned to ZipRecruiter for assisstance. At first, it was great. Customer service walked me through everything, made suggestions, helped to edit our ad and make it available to relevant areas and varying states. We were given several options as far as cost and we felt confident on the prospective employees we were hoping to recruit. At first glance, ZipRecruiter seemed to be a good route for finding employees.

Cons: When we were talking to the ZipRecruiter representative, he gave us many options on locations to post our ad, and varying costs of length of time it was going to be available. He was a salesman. He was trying to sell us on some grand plan that would span several regions, being able to post several jobs, and offer all these options. However, as a small company, we weren't looking for some novelty recruiting process with all the bells and whistles. I told him exactly what we needed and the budget and it suddenly turned to a different tone of conversation. We decided on a plan and went from there. While setting up our available position, I was able to set up screener questions to help narrow down candidates. I have done previously with other recruiting sites and knew exactly what questions I needed to ask. To my dismay, the ZipRecruiter rep kept changing my questions! I would change them back to find that they have once again been edited. Upon that, I was displeased with the response I got of applicants and didn't even end up making a single hire. I turned to the other site we have typically hired through and had much more success.

Overall: Overall, I wasn't happy with the process or the lavishness of ZipRecruiter and didn't feel I got any kind of return on the investment I made with them. Granted, the position we were trying to fill is very specialized, but I have had better luck with other sites that weren't as expensive.

Pros: ZipRecruiter posts to dozens of different job sites. It also had a pretty intuitive and easy to use dashboard. I will say the quality of candidate typically was a little better than most of the other sites we used. Actually, I found one of my best employees there. However, don't expect to get overwhelmed with quantity; this is a quality play. I wouldn't say it has a lot of unique or unusual features, just that it was easy to use.

Cons: Even with our paid account, we only got one user. So department managers found it hard to use because they had to remember another login that wasn't theirs. Ultimately, the utilization by our managers was low, and because it was paid, we decided it wasn't giving us a good return and cancelled it, because it was paid based on account subscription, not usage or how many jobs you posted, which could be a good or a bad thing depending on your organization. However, if your organization has HR do everything, then this shouldn't be a problem. It might just be a problem for SMBs where hiring is more decentralized.

Overall: It was a helpful extra hiring tool for our department, but without utilization by the entire company we couldn't justify the expense.

Pros: The 1-click apply is a nice feature. I love that there is an app for the phone available. ZipRecruiter has teamed up with Google and ADP to allow the best possible results for job seekers and those needed to hire.

Cons: Suggested jobs show jobs that (in job title) list keywords that do not exist in my resume (example: engineer). Jobs dismissed previously return when you search again. There should be an option to exclude jobs previously dismissed. Jobs I have already applied appear in suggested jobs, and it is not until I click on "1-click apply" that I then see "You have applied". There should be a feature to "tag" the jobs you have applied 1) at the company website or 2) from another job board (LinkedIn, indeed, etc,...). I do not want to be applying to the same role from multiple jobs, and most companies and/or recruiters post everywhere. On the mobile app (android), the jobs without the 1-click apply have issues loading the job description. I would like to be able to review the description, and then save the jobs I am interested in for when I can get to my computer and apply.

Overall: I like this software, but it could be and needs to be so much better. I get prospective job listings, but then those same jobs are also listed on all the other job boards too.

Pros: ZipRecruiter is one of the easiest platforms to use to help you browse and post employment opportunities. The design of the landing page is easy to navigate, making the process smooth. It also allows you to chat with a recruiter, which is an awesome perk to have as a job seeker. Many career websites do not have this option. Another great option that is accurate based on the information inputted by a job seeker is the customized jobs tab-specific to each person's skills and career interests. Overall, this is an awesome platform!

Cons: The software is great. The only downside to ZipRecruiter is that sometimes it has old job postings that are expired. The company needs to do a better job at ensuring that the job postings are active and not filled to prevent candidates from wasting time on job applications.

Overall: ZipRecruiter will provide you with jobs and employment options based on your career preferences. Having the ability to input information and have a software generate potential job matches for you is a great resource to have and makes the process more friendly and efficient. The live notifications about when your resume or application is being reviewed by a recruiter or a hiring manager is functional and helps you put your mind at ease!

Pros: ZipRecruiter offers a very easy-to-use user interface with more robust functionality than any of the other job posting services that we have used. It was very simple to develop professional job listings, and the ability to copy existing postings and edit them to make other similar postings was very valuable for us. Their site search functionality is excellent and provides multiple filters to narrow down your list of potential candidates. Their suggested candidates and email notifications worked very well to proactively notify us of potential new candidates for our open positions.

Cons: The pricing is quite expensive compared to similar services, although the advanced features help to offset come of the increased cost by saving time looking for candidates. We received more unqualified candidates applying for our positions than we did with other similar services, which I assume is a result of how easy they make it for users to apply for jobs. The resumes that we received were in a variety of formats and file types, making it difficult to quickly compare potential candidates.

Overall: ZipRecruiter helped us to fill our open positions more quickly and easily than other similar services that we have used. Their pricing is more expensive than almost all similar competitors, but they also provide a better service, which saved us time and helped us to fill positions more quickly, thus offsetting some of the increased costs. If you are looking for highly-skilled applicants and/or applicants with very specific skillsets, then ZipRecruiter is probably your best bet because of their more advanced job criteria settings and search filtering options.

Pros: ZipRecruiter is easy to use in general, and it's intuitive for novice HR professionals, which is great.

Cons: The vast majority of resumes we receive from ZipRecruiter have nothing to do with our job posting, don't meet the minimum requirements, and are from all over the country even if we specify location. It felt like constant spam mail and a waste of resources. Not to mention, ZipRecruiter is incredibly expensive versus other recruiting tools.

Overall: I appreciate the volume of people that can see a posting, and for that reason, it can be an effective way to get a lot of applicants. However, most of the applicants are in no way relevant to the position, and we have never successfully hired a candidate from ZipRecruiter. It's not the worst tool out there, but it takes a lot of additional time and resources to wade through the junk.

Pros: Ziprecruiter is one of the job posting websites where we put the job openings we are recruiting for. What I like most from Ziprecruiter is the easy process they've provided to recruiters like us in posting job ads.

Ziprecruiter is also very famous to job seekers so once we post our job openings there, we got a lot of inbound candidates.

I also like the email notification that I receive from Ziprecruiter whenever I receive inbound candidates because aside from providing you the summary of the application or the candidate, it also attaches the candidate's pdf or word resume.

Cons: What I least like about Ziprecruiter is its basicness. It is not timely to millennial job seekers now. I hope Ziprecruiter update their job posting database so that we can add design and catchy colors to our job postings rather than sticking to the normal boring job postings.

Overall: Overall, Ziprecruiter is a great tool that helps us in our recruitment efforts. It drives more inbound candidates, and is a good addition on top of sourcing and outreach of candidates. Let us remember that not all candidates are on LinkedIn, and with that, we still need the help of Ziprecruiter.

Pros: I like that this job board lets candidates see a company logo bubble for each position. When it comes to marketing jobs, being able to see the company logo is very important and can be the difference between recognizing a company and applying for a position versus not applying for the position at all. Adding company description, job title and compensation to a job posting is incredibly easy and user friendly.

Cons: My biggest complaint is that there aren't more options when it comes to posting compensation. In some cases I would like to add additional information like a figure for potential bonus or a figure for an average commission. My other complaint is the ZipRecruiter almost makes it too easy for candidates to apply for jobs. People are applying for jobs without actually looking at what they are applying for. This is a pro and a con to some. Having the 1-click and apply method sometimes doesn't do me any good when looking at candidates because I know a majority of these people didn't actually take the time to look at the job description and its requirements.

Pros: I have been using ZipRecruiter as one of my alternative sourcing tool in recruiting. ZipRecruiter makes it easier for me to finish the candidate search, because once you post your job opening in ZipRecruiter it will open a great door to receiving a lot of candidates.

ZipRecruiter is very helpful because some great fits doesn't have any linkedin accounts so ZipRecruiter enabled me to connect with them.

What I also like about ZipRecruiter is the ability to indicate a follow up question to the applicants by just merely provisioning it on ZipRecruiter which is every helpful for me in avoiding phone interviews to prospect candidates - saves my time!

Cons: I don't have anything negative to comment regarding ZipRecruiter. Maybe one that they can improve on is putting templates or design that those who are subscribed on their platform can make their job posting nice and compelling!

Overall: If you are having time in recruiting IT or Executive positions, ZipRecruiter is the best companion to guide and help you!

Pros: The brand recognition is hard to top. ZipRecruiter advertises a lot, so the workforce is aware of it and using it. I use a few boards simultaneously and Zip definitely gets the most activity. The design is also easy to use and friendly to look at.

Cons: If you're a smaller operation with infrequent/limited hiring needs then Zip is expensive. The relevance of some applicants is also way off sometimes, so certain ads will have 100+ applicants and 1/2 of them will have nothing I'm looking for. My most recent example is in recruiting licensed salespeople but receiving a ton of resumes from people on the admin side of the business we're in. Those applicants are totally irrelevant to my ads because they have not sold before and cannot sell while unlicensed. It just gives me more work to do sifting through irrelevant applications.

Overall: If you have a need for 3 or 4 ads running year-round, then go for it. If you are on a tight budget or hire infrequently, go with a cheaper option first and maybe save money if your industry has enough talent available.

Pros: ZIPrecruiter is easy to use both from the employer perspective and the job searcher. It has taken the model of Monster and Career Builder of old, kept the good - discarded the bad, and today represents one of the better options out there whether you are hiring or trying to be hired. . As an employer, you will get a lot of results so stay organized and efficient to maximize the tool.

Cons: The characteristics that make ZR so good are the same things that can make it difficult to manage. Ease of use for employee-hopefuls allows them to sling out resumes at a record speed. This can create feeling overwhelmed with the process and if you aren't careful, you will find yourself moving through resumes just to finish. For job seekers, you may feel like you got a lot of resumes out but quantity may not trump quality.

Overall: As an employer, knowing that we would be getting about 3 times the # of resumes as we would usually gave us a better chance of finding the right candidate if we could give each resume the time it deserved.

Pros: We are using ZipRecruiter in our company since it gives us a steady stream of inbound candidates. Sourcing on LinkedIn, and sending outreach emails to candidates are a good deal since by that process we have already screened the candidates. However, not all candidates are found on LinkedIn. Almost half of interested candidates that we process for our company openings especially in our Executive Search arm are from ZipRecruiter.

I like the functionality of ZipRecruiter that you can include qualifying questions to your job posting. It is like a first line of defense to weed out unfit and not really interested candidates.

Cons: The only bottleneck I have with ZipRecruiter is that the templates for posting are cynical. You can't really incorporate much design that will make the job posting interesting.

I hope ZipRecruiter steps up its game, and be mindful that most job hunters now are millennial, and they need to ramp up in terms of being responsive to the modern candidate pool

Overall: ZipRecruiter is a great help for all our recruitment needs. ZipRecruiter is best used for executive positions but downplays its essence in terms of rank and file recruitment.

Pros: The One-Click Apply feature is my absolute favorite! Job Applications are laborious at times. Filling in the same information repeatedly can be so draining. One-Click Apply makes job applications seamless! I also felt like there was a healthy volume of jobs to choose from, second only to Indeed. Zip Recruiter was a large part of my life during my job search. I am thankful for it.

Cons: Unfortunately, I had several issues with my resume saving properly. Sometimes when I would apply for a job, I would have to use my zip recruiter resume and not my own resume file and it did not always save properly. When applying for a job, your resume needs to be very polished. I was sometimes concerned that my resume might have formatting issues when applying with Zip Recruiter.

Overall: My overall experience with ZipRecruiter was a great. I recommend it to people all the time. The One-Click-Apply feature is a great bonus. ZipRecruiter is definitely an asset for anyone job-searching these days. A great resource!

Pros: Overall it's a decent software. It's easy to navigate and it's pretty intuitive to use. It's better I think if you are looking for a job than posting a job. There are lots of jobs posted so again if you are looking for work then it's great.

Cons: As someone posting jobs, there was a huge price increase that caught me off guard. There's lot of competition as an employer as there are many similar jobs. And from the flip side, when looking for working there are lots of nonsense jobs that could even be a scam...so just proceed with caution.

Overall: With this kind of program, there's nothing that is perfect...it comes with pros and cons. Overall i think it's good...not great, but for a low price service it's pretty decent.

Pros: ZipRecruiter expands your recruiting network to access more candidates. It is easy to use, similar in structure to other recruiting tools, and provides an additional set of candidates.

Cons: ZipRecruiter does not have the broadest reach, and often the candidates are not quite relevant in my industry. Its user-base is a bit too broad, so you will receive many candidates applying to jobs that are not experienced with the right background.

Overall: Overall I think ZipRecruiter is a fine way to supplement any additional recruiting tools, but it's best to use one platform that pushes to ZipRecruiter to ensure you have the broadest reach without having to switch among many recruiting tools.

Pros: This service makes it extremely easy and convenient for candidates to build a profile and attach their resume, along with their qualifications and desired roles. It makes it easy for companies to post their openings and review candidates.

Their "mobile apply" makes it very easy for candidates to apply using their saved resume, and for companies to add simple qualifying questions to the mobile apply.

Cons: Generally, I have found that you don't find postings from many top-notch F500 companies, or for those looking to hire mid-senior or experienced professionals.

At least in terms of sales roles, a lot of companies post for commission only roles, or smaller, less reputable companies that most career-oriented sales professionals don't want to apply for.

There are on occasion some very promising opportunities though.

Overall: Overall, positive.

Pros: Zip Recruiter is almost like a plug in play site. That's because it is such an easy program to use, and there are step by step instructions to guide you. What I like the most is the quality of the site. Post a resume, it uploads and populates. Then you follow the prompts and fill your information in, and before you know it, recommendations are coming in.

Cons: There really isn't anything I found unfavorable about Zip Recruiter. It's simple and time efficient.

Overall: You can actually find high quality applicants with this site. I am on it every day matching my skills against other job seekers. It helps me by identifying the skills needed to do a certain job. Do I have the preferred skill set the company is looking for? If not, do I want to learn those skills, so I'm ready for the next opportunity? The program also encourages you as a highly qualified applicant, to put in for the job. I use it to match my skills and abilities, against open opportunities. It works seamlessly.

Comments: Overall, I really enjoy Zip Recruiter and I am happy that I have this tool in my arsenal!

Pros: In the few years I have been using Zip Recruiter to post jobs I have found the job board has really stepped up their game and improved ways to source candidates! In my opinion, they are getting better than Indeed - I am very impressed with the services we pay for. Of all the things that make this worth using and recommending - the customer service and market insights their team offers to be ensures success all around!

Cons: The biggest con that I can identify is pricing - it is expensive, but we do procure a number of candidates from this job board. You are paying for a lot of great things though - for the right price you get to use boosts (which can be hit and miss) access to a resume database and again their super knowledgeable and helpful recruiting experts.

Pros: Some of the things that I like about ZipRecruiter are that as a job seeker, it is very easy to create a profile and the system ensures that it matches your profile against matching jobs. I think it has some of the better job matching mechanisms in place to be able to search for matching jobs that relate better to your skillset and experience. I also like the feature of one click apply in which you can apply for a position without filling in additional details as long as you have the requisite details in the your past job history and profile. The notification and alert tools available when a job is posted that match your profile is also good.

Cons: The experience of using of the website seems to be heavy and the general navigation of the system is not an intuitive as I would have liked. Also, it would be great if there was a follow up mechanism available when you apply for a job as there is latency in the current status of the openings and what is displayed on the website. If a resume needs to be updated on the website, the process is slow and not very responsive.

Overall: Job Matching criteria is pretty refined in the system and that helps in you being matched with the right opportunities and explore relevant openings. The process to apply for the jobs is also pretty smooth and helps ensure that you are aware of the latest openings matching your skills and experience.

Pros: The ability to create a pre-screening survey that can automatically disqualify candidates

Cons: 80% of the quality/caliber of candidates didn't match what we were looking for. Candidates are able to apply with resumes that hadn't been updated in over a year.

Overall: Overall, it can be a useful tool for finding new employees. The pre-screening is very helpful, and it is pretty easy to and quick to move through and rate candidates. I appreciate that there are 3 options for rating (yes, maybe and no) as that allows you to reconsider the maybes at a later time. I do think it's a bit pricey given the quality of candidates. We might have 100 people apply for the job, maybe 14 are a good fit/match.

Pros: 1. you can use this to source for candidates that you deemed fit with your job opening. You can see candidates' qualification and skills. And can send them email about the job opening that you have. In that way you can get their interest to have their contact information to reach them at

2. You can also have a job posted and let these candidate apply on those posting

3. this application is best used for Light industrial/Commercial jobs

4. you can also see reviews from people who have worked on companies that can be used as a basis for recruiting

5. Subscription for this site is decent.

Cons: 1. Since resumes posted on this site does not have contact information, you have to wait for for these candidates to reply with your reach out

2. Though this site is very useful, it might not be useful with some cities and state

Overall: I can not think of anything I do not like with this site. Overall, it helps job seeker and employer to reach best candidates available in the market.

Pros: There will never be a shortage of resumes to review. Every day that the job was listed as active, we received at least twenty responses. I really like the ability to categorize and filter by quality and reaction. It's absolutely necessary given the volume involved. I have had good and bad resumes through this aggregation site. Hiring quality people is the hardest part of being an employer. Also, we receive a discount offer in the mail or by email more often than we can use it as we are not always hiring. This is good!

Cons: Because this service pulls from a number of other websites, you get many resumes in different formats. I require that the resume be at least in Word, ideally in PDF. I wish we could limit the sources or send an automatic email from specific sources. (I'm looking at you, Yahoo!) I also will not follow up if there are numerous spelling errors or an unprofessional email. Unfortunately, we receive very many resumes that have to be dismissed based on that criteria alone.

Overall: We received so many resumes that it was nearly a job in itself to sort through. We were only looking for one employee but finding good people is difficult. Thus the massive number of responses is quite necessary.

Pros: ZipRecruiter allows you to post ads for specific jobs so you find the right candidates. It allows you to customize the ads so you reach exactly who you're looking for. Once you publish your ad it sends it to different platforms so you can a wider demographic. You can also interact with candidates who have applied to your positions or search for top candidates through their resume database and invite them to apply.

Cons: Sometimes there are candidates that slip through without a resume, even though you've checked the box to accept only candidates with resumes. Sometimes when they update the site it makes it difficult to connect the software to my applicant stream.

Overall: I've worked with ZipRecruiter for 4 years and have found great candidates on the site. I will continue to use them in the future.

Pros: The best thing about this product is how easy it is to get information about a job and post yourself as a person looking for a job. Uploads are easy, it is easy to tag jobs and professions that you are interested in, and its easy to flag jobs that you are not interested in. I like that you can submit your search for different regions, and get realistic results.

Cons: The worst thing is that you cannot separate your searches. If you are like me, where you have a background in one industry but would be willing to change industries it is sometimes harder to get the search algorithm to keep those searches separate. It takes a lot of training and customization to train your platform to understand what jobs to send you, and which you probably aren't qualified for. I also wish that there was better quality control over the types of employers allowed to post on Zip. Several times I responded to an ad looking for someone like me 'an industry switcher looking for entry level X' and ended up with a MLM or some other undesirable company that was not looking for my specific skill set, but more a 'warm body'. This was particularly noticeable when I was looking at staffing recruiting positions or project management positions.

Overall: Despite several false starts and 'bad' postings, I was able to find my current job through ZipRecruiter and I would encourage others to take the time to sort through the riff-raff, because the chances of finding legitimate postings as opposed to Indeed or CareerBuilder (both of which have a lot of spammy postings) is high.

Comments: Zip uses an avatar named Phil. I would like to see other avatrs available like a female for females or males who prefer female recruitment managers.

Pros: Very easy to use. You do get automated updates both as a user from the hiring side and also as a job seeker. I have used on both sides of the equation for about 3 years each.

Cons: Job seekers - well, no one has called me saying hey ZipRecruiter worked for me and I fgot a job. It really works better as a recruitment tool but then there is a big drawback. if you are looking for experienced people, they will usually have targeted resumes and zip only lets you store one for their easy 1-click apply. Quite a limiting factor. I as a hiring manager then need to get the person to send the targeted resume or I spin my wheels seakig with a not quite wat I am looking for person.

Pros: It gives ease to recruiting. Ziprecruiter allows you to do job postings wherein the active applicants will simply apply on your post. In adition, they also have resume database wherein you can do sourcing of candidates. You can filter resumes by entering key words, job titles, and resumes recently posted. Majority of the resumes that you can find here are not on the other job boards. Totally fresh leads.

Cons: Few filters unlike other job boards in the market. Applicants can apply even though they are not qualified. I hate the idea that when you open a candidate's resume, you still need to click view full resume button. It is time consuming because sometimes you will need to wait for the resume to load up. Has lot of things to improve compare to other job boards.

Pros: As stated in the title I have used Zip Recruiter to hire employees and I have also used it to acquire a job. I highly recommend Zip Recruiter for both hiring and getting hired. This is a simple and straight forward for both.

As far as using this to hire employees it is competitive on pricing and had some high quality applicants. We used this to hire an office admin and a developer. I can't remember what we paid but I want to say it was one of the cheapest job recruitment companies. We received over 200 applicants for the office admin position. It is a simple process of scanning through applicants. You can mark the ones you are interested in and the ones you are not.

I was able to find a job on Zip Recruiter from a high quality employer. Finding a job is pretty easy and straight forward. You can search companies, titles, roles, etc. You can be notified by jobs you might be interested in. Once you upload your resume and update your profile most of the jobs you can apply with a one click process.

The application for IOS and Android is one of the best things about this. It was simple to use to scan through all of the applicants and useful to be able to do it anywhere. Looking for jobs on the app was clear and straightforward. It is a clean and well developed app.

Cons: I honestly cannot thing of one thing that I did not like about Zip Recruiter. I highly recommend the product to everyone.

Pros: The best feature by far is the invitations to apply to jobs that match your criteria. You don't have to spend hours pouring over searches to find a match. The matches come to you. There is also the ability to define why a job doesn't match your criteria to improve future searches.

Cons: The matches don't always take all of the criteria into consideration when sending matches. For example if you don't want to commute anymore but you are currently commuting it takes months for the search engine to learn what is "too far away".

Overall: Overall I've been somewhat satisfied with ZipRecruiter. If nothing else it's a good push in the right direction for matching employees to jobs.

Pros: The beauty with which the software application streamlines the job search process is amazing. It provides other similar job options that helps me diversify my job search. The suggestion tool is really powerful with zip recruiting. Really easy to navigate the website as well as the app. Since the resume is uploaded the setup time is really low to apply to many new jobs. This makes the job search process really easy, fast and efficient.

Cons: There are a lot of false advertising, fake ads which makes is harder for users to filter through all the junk. The number of email that zip recruiter sends to users is also a large part of that junk. Some of the job suggestion are highly diverse, sometimes diverse to a point that it does not match my interest nor my keywords.

Overall: Overall very happy with the app. Minor glitches while switching inbetween pages and search. The design could be further made simple and the clutter on job search should be removed. Ads hurt the main page as it makes it difficult for the user to find jobs. The job search suggestions is helpful but the suggestions are not as great.

Comments: I used ZipRecruiter heavily just over a year ago as well as here and there occasionally since. Everything I tested was responsive and worked as expected. Would I recommend? If you are in need of employment or employees in the technology fields that ZipRecruiter focuses on the ZipRecruiter is a valid and capable choice. It has a clean design and doesn't get tiresome after putting in hours for you job/hiring search.

Pros: It has a very simple layout/design and intuitive user interfaces. Black, white, and pops of green keeps your attention focused on the information at hand. On the aspiring employee's side of things it is fast and looks clean. The focus on the technology-based fields was what drove me to choose Ziprecruiter. The specialization makes things either on both sides of the equation, in my opinion. Job seekers have fewer listings to sift through with a high percentage of relevancy, whereas, the employers receive applicants experienced in their field.

Cons: Take caution with the inciting scam advertisements that make their way into the listings. (Don't fault them for this one too much. All job boards deal with this to some degree and ZipRecruiter isn't anywhere near the worst.) From my memory I never had any issues on the site other than ones that were of my own doing, such as a messed up resume for a time when I uploaded the wrong file. My biggest complaint is that the algorithm for recommending jobs rarely alerted me of things that caught my eye.

Pros: The free trial software and aggregate method of this software lets you test it out before committing. They are confident in their product.

It is easy/intuitive to use.

Cons: This is a recruiting platform for non-specialty jobs. If you have difficult positions to fill in highly competitive markets such as physician staffing, high level IT positions, cleared professionals, etc., this will not reach those candidates in any meaningful way.

Overall: This platform is an excellent entry level tool and affordable with several price-points to suit your company's needs. They also have an excellent free trial month so you can see what you get. They use (as far as I can tell based on their marketing) an aggregate model where their ad goes to several other sites so you get a decent bang for your buck. I've noticed a lot of marketing on TV and radio lately too, so they are becoming a more household name. If your recruiting/HR sourcing needs feature positions that are standard/generalized but may require some additional exposure, this is a good method with an intuitive platform for posting. However, if you are looking for a new sourcing tool to reach hard to fill positions such as physician recruitment, top tier IT professionals, etc., this will likely disappoint. It is a great product for a recruiting team that isn't a specialty staffing firm and just needs a resource that is cheaper than Careerbuilder/Monster/Indeed paid model.

Pros: I've used this software as both a job seeker and a recruiter. As a job seeker, they really need to do a better job of cutting down the spam and fraudulent job postings. It really decreases their value. People apply to jobs that are either fake or they are sent to another website that just spams them with fake job listings. As a recruiter it is a bit more useful. It allows you to easily post and gives useful updates.

Cons: They have a serious problem with the spam on this website. Not sure how, but they really need to find a way to decrease it.

Overall: I really wish the site was better. Has great potential and a wonderful idea.

Pros: ZipRecruiter helps us find great talents which are not on LinkedIn. Not all professionals have LinkedIn account, and it is such a waste not to find the best fit because of that. ZipRecruiter bridges people that doesn't have LinkedIn accounts to the opportunities that we are recruiting.

I remembered a time when we are finding the best Manager for one of our LOBs. It seems that all people we are finding on LinkedIn are either not interested to make a move or not really a great fit. ZipRecruiter bridged us to one great candidate, and she's been working here in our company now for more than a year.

Cons: I really don't have anything that I don't like on ZipRecruiter. It is easy to use, and once you post a job, you're gonna get immediately a lot of applicants.

Maybe the best thing that ZipRecruiter can do is to have like a predictive next steps more like a predictive text. For example, I am posting for a Programmer post, and by the language of what I am typing, I hope the system can provide suggestions as to what other skills I will require etc.

Overall: ZipRecruiter is one of the best addition into making a great tandem with LinkedIn in finishing a recruitment task - easy and fast!

Pros: I like to be able to open all files no matter the size.

Cons: It's always asking you to purchase the software over and over even though you purchased it a month ago.

Overall: The software is sometimes difficult to use on certain instances. Mostly, once I open a file, I can't copy the file.

Comments: If you are willing to pay the fees you can find an amazing cadidate but just remember that nothing is free in this world.

Pros: ZipRecruiter is a great company with a great staff to help you out. What we have found is that in hiring professionals for our medical practices it can be expensive to hire using a recruiter. ZipRecruitor is less that a typical recruitor and they have may different candidates to choose from. Everyone that we have interacted with from ZipRecruiter has been very nice and very helpful overall.

Cons: Pricing is the biggest con. It is less expensive than using a standard recruiting service but not by as much as they would lead you to believe. For the free use of applicants you get to see, there are older out of date resumes that are either not looking or never respond to requests. If you are willing to pay you get to see another group of applicants that you will be able to find a great candidate with. Just know that you are not likely to find anyone during your free period and that you need to pay to find a great candidate.

Pros: My favorite thing about ZipRecruiter, which is a stretch, is how easy it is to sign up to the platform. My review is based from a candidate perspective, and not an employer perspective, but much beyond the ease of signing up, I don't enjoy the platform.

Cons: Everything else. Seriously, I wouldn't recommend this platform to any employer or candidate.

- The emails seem scammy. As a candidate, I get about three emails a day all of which have the same jobs that they sent me yesterday. For some reason, those same jobs never get filled... weird, huh? Not to mention, in the email, they have random things capitalized (super scammy).

- Low quality of jobs. If you're an employer, there are much better job sites out there that don't seem more approachable and better for placing talent into jobs.

So all in all, move along to the next platform. Cough (Glassdoor) cough.

Pros: I found that Zip Recruiter had a wealth of job seekers with the qualifications that we needed. I liked that you could look at these candidates and contact them via Zip Recruiter message portal.

Cons: Candidates list there resume but once they are hired there resume does not come off Zip Recruiter. The pool of qualified applicants is not what it seems. When I contacted these people many were rude and said they had submitted their resume years ago and did not understand why employers were still contacting them.

Overall: I paid per click for what I thought were qualified applicants but I paid to access resumes and contact info for individuals that had no need to be employed at and had long since submitted their resume to Zip Recruiter had found a job. If someone is employed take the resume off your database or have a statute of limitations.

Hello Karen,

Thank you for taking the time to review ZipRecruiter, as your feedback is very important to us! I would like to apologize for your experience with the applicants you came across within our resume database. Our resume database is compiled of resumes from job seekers that choose to not only post their resume but to keep it posted as long as they would like. They always have the option to remove it after they get hired. Unfortunately, when job seekers are hired some of them do not let our system know- so their resumes may remain on the site.

Luckily, we have a great filter to apply to your search within the database to filter through resumes that have not been updated within x number of days. You can choose the span of time depending on your needs. I would be more than happy to personally assist you with navigating the resume database the next time we have the pleasure of assisting you with your hiring needs.

Kind Regards,

Pros: I like most about the software in that it assists in job/career applications, knowing the pay and detailed information pertaining to the job, and job status updates are given periodically. I also like that once signed up within the software and a profile is created most jobs can be one-click applied to, which makes the job searching process quicker and more bearable.

Cons: The least like about the software is still having to apply on some company sites when ZipRecruiter is the "hiring agency software".

Overall: My overall experience with the software is great as I utilize the software to locate and apply for jobs/careers in my area and online jobs/careers as well.

Pros: I LOVE "One Click Apply". I've been searching for a new job and it's SO simple to upload all of your info and your resume and just be able to "click" the button after you've read through the description and know that you want to apply. One night I applied for over 30 jobs in less than an hour.

Cons: I do wish that you could narrow the search down a bit more and that they'd filter some of the jobs more thoroughly. There have been TONS of jobs I've been contacted for that ended up being sales jobs, despite me NOT searching for, wanting or being willing to work a sales job. Some of the job descriptions are very vague and don't mention sales AT ALL, when they're actually very much sales jobs. It's a waste of time not only for me but for the employers who are contacting me.

Overall: My experience with ZipRecruiter has been great! While I haven't found a job quite yet, I currently had numerous leads and interviews scheduled. I'm confident that my next job will be found thanks to ZipRecruiter!

Pros: ZipRecruiter has you fill out lots of screening questions as an employer. All the preliminary questions that you can create are extremely effective at filtering out unqualified candidates. This saves me so much time every month. This tool is amazing for tracking different applicants too. I love that it only takes a few minutes to post a job. I can easily pull all the details of certain applicants into a spreadsheet for further analysis. I like that I can email and text applicants.

Cons: I always love to see new feature improvements and updates.

Overall: I can quickly and easily publish my job listings on all the major job boards.

Pros: There wasn't much I found acceptable in this software for my previous position as an operations manager for a tree trimming service.

Cons: For our particular field, we didn't find candidates that would meet our needs. Additionally, it seemed like the company continuously sent solicitations, electronic or phone, to upgrade. We weren't going to upgrade since we weren't finding success at the lower subscription.

Overall: Short lived. That being said, I would reconsider using ZipRecruiter for my needs in a company that would be more appropriate for the candidates available within the system.

Pros: I love the one-click application feature! Once you upload your resume and information, there is a one-click feature that is literally only one-click; not click once, confirm details, add extras, etc.

Also, its great that they screen jobs based on your qualifications or experience. This means that they send you opportunities as they come in, you do not have to seek them out or search for them.

Cons: Make sure your resume template is recognized. I had a non-standard word document resume template (a fancy layout), and did not realize that after uploading, the template layout was not recognized and the resume being sent to potential employers blanked out all my contact information! Employers were receiving resumes with no name, email or phone numbers on them.

My fault for this one I think, but still happened nonetheless.

Overall: Considering the current job market, ZipRecruiter has been an amazing tool in getting applications put in quickly.

Its fairly priced, but increase your employee staff quick if your hiring

Pros: This program lets you create a very specific add to post for possible new hires, You can thin out the unqualified or less skilled applicants and customize your add with specific questions, expectations and scope of work, if applicable. People have to answer to your criteria when they reply back so you only interview the specific group of people that answer your ad with the information your looking for. It also allows you to have more than one of your staff have access also, so they may review incoming applications as well.

Cons: I think if it had a better way to strain the junk and unwanted ads from entering my inbox with real applicants, so I dont have to delete them all the time would make it that much better. If you are new to using this software it will take some practice until your a pro at manipulating your ads into the perfect way that you want them to look.

Overall: i think Ziprecruiter could definetly help you to expand your employee base if that is what you are looking for. I print out stacks of leads that have replied to my ad almost on a daily basis, than I have the receptionist call them all and verify they want to interview with us and set a date to come in
