Pros: Like most job search sites, ZipRecruiter has the expected features for filling out a profile and uploading a resume. It does, however, have some really great standout features. The tailored suggested job notifications seem to really be in line with the types of positions that are appropriate based on recent searches or key-words. Far too often job alerts from other job search sites are a bit or way off-base from what the intended search goal is. The feature I like best is the notifications that alert you if your resume has been viewed, or if a viewer has given a thumbs up. Additionally, the metrics offered when a resume is viewed multiple times is great. For example, an alert may say "Your resume was viewed a second time - only 25% of applicants have a second view." I think this helps applicants keep a positive outlook and return to using the product. With other job search sites, after sending a resume, you are left in the dark. To top it off, this information is available whether you use the website or the ZipRecruiter mobile app. I use the Android version of the app, and the ZipRecruiter notifications are notifications I look forward to.

Cons: ZipRecruiter offers quite a full-featured job search product, and it is my favorite. If there was an area for improvement, I would say it is the references section. It would be nice to be able to either link to existing references and carry them over (for example via Linkedin) or copy and paste a reference with contact info for verification as an additional option rather than only having the option to ask for a reference.

Overall: I am still evaluating the benefits, however, based on the features I have seen so far, and the ease of use - compared to the rest, it is currently the goto job search/employment application.

Good, but could be better!

Pros: The 1-click apply is a nice feature. I love that there is an app for the phone available. ZipRecruiter has teamed up with Google and ADP to allow the best possible results for job seekers and those needed to hire.

Cons: Suggested jobs show jobs that (in job title) list keywords that do not exist in my resume (example: engineer). Jobs dismissed previously return when you search again. There should be an option to exclude jobs previously dismissed. Jobs I have already applied appear in suggested jobs, and it is not until I click on "1-click apply" that I then see "You have applied". There should be a feature to "tag" the jobs you have applied 1) at the company website or 2) from another job board (LinkedIn, indeed, etc,...). I do not want to be applying to the same role from multiple jobs, and most companies and/or recruiters post everywhere. On the mobile app (android), the jobs without the 1-click apply have issues loading the job description. I would like to be able to review the description, and then save the jobs I am interested in for when I can get to my computer and apply.

Overall: I like this software, but it could be and needs to be so much better. I get prospective job listings, but then those same jobs are also listed on all the other job boards too.

Can be expensive but get's the job done.

Pros: Adding in pre screening questions to your job posting that the prospects are required to answer, this helped us weed out the applicants that weren't qualified because of licensing regulations. Being able to add other team members into the account so you can have more then one login, this allows multiple managers to be able to review the incoming resumes for a job posting. Being able to rank the incoming resumes with a thumbs up, a neutral. Being able to add notes to an incoming applicants profile. If you have multiple job postings you can sort the incoming resumes by the specific job posting.

Cons: If you rank a resume with a thumbs down, it removes the resume from the list. This is a problem if you have more then one manager that needs to review the incoming resumes. One manager can down vote a resume, but maybe another manager see's something they like. So the thumbs down doesn't work for us. We would only use the neutral or thumbs up. On our most recent job posting we weren't getting the applicants we wanted with just a standard listing, when we paid the higher price for more exposure we started getting quality candidates. Not sure what the difference is between where the postings are published with a standard listing or an upgraded listing. When you are looking at the list of resumes, if you have multiple job postings you can sort the list by the job posting, however, when you click on a resume it forwards your browser to a new page, then when you click the back button it takes you back to all the resumes so you have to keep resorting them by the job posting.

Pros: ZipRecruiter offers a very easy-to-use user interface with more robust functionality than any of the other job posting services that we have used. It was very simple to develop professional job listings, and the ability to copy existing postings and edit them to make other similar postings was very valuable for us. Their site search functionality is excellent and provides multiple filters to narrow down your list of potential candidates. Their suggested candidates and email notifications worked very well to proactively notify us of potential new candidates for our open positions.

Cons: The pricing is quite expensive compared to similar services, although the advanced features help to offset come of the increased cost by saving time looking for candidates. We received more unqualified candidates applying for our positions than we did with other similar services, which I assume is a result of how easy they make it for users to apply for jobs. The resumes that we received were in a variety of formats and file types, making it difficult to quickly compare potential candidates.

Overall: ZipRecruiter helped us to fill our open positions more quickly and easily than other similar services that we have used. Their pricing is more expensive than almost all similar competitors, but they also provide a better service, which saved us time and helped us to fill positions more quickly, thus offsetting some of the increased costs. If you are looking for highly-skilled applicants and/or applicants with very specific skillsets, then ZipRecruiter is probably your best bet because of their more advanced job criteria settings and search filtering options.

Pros: Ziprecruiter is one of the job posting websites where we put the job openings we are recruiting for. What I like most from Ziprecruiter is the easy process they've provided to recruiters like us in posting job ads.

Ziprecruiter is also very famous to job seekers so once we post our job openings there, we got a lot of inbound candidates.

I also like the email notification that I receive from Ziprecruiter whenever I receive inbound candidates because aside from providing you the summary of the application or the candidate, it also attaches the candidate's pdf or word resume.

Cons: What I least like about Ziprecruiter is its basicness. It is not timely to millennial job seekers now. I hope Ziprecruiter update their job posting database so that we can add design and catchy colors to our job postings rather than sticking to the normal boring job postings.

Overall: Overall, Ziprecruiter is a great tool that helps us in our recruitment efforts. It drives more inbound candidates, and is a good addition on top of sourcing and outreach of candidates. Let us remember that not all candidates are on LinkedIn, and with that, we still need the help of Ziprecruiter.

Pros: UI was very easy to use, got plenty of responses to jobs I posted, some decent candidates. Short trial period meant I wasn't able to fulfill any roles, not their fault per se. When I contacted them about my account being charged, they promptly refunded my money.

Cons: Horrible, horrible transparency. I signed up for the free trial and couldn't even figure out how long their free trial period was until after I talked to their agent. Turns out it's only 4 days. That's just short enough to be totally useless.

Worse part is they weren't very clear about when my account would be charged. Turns out, they charge you on the 4th day of the trial, so if you call on the 4th day to cancel, your account would have rolled over to paid account. Their customer service was nice enough to refund me though, just the lack of transparency left a sour taste.

Pros: I like that this job board lets candidates see a company logo bubble for each position. When it comes to marketing jobs, being able to see the company logo is very important and can be the difference between recognizing a company and applying for a position versus not applying for the position at all. Adding company description, job title and compensation to a job posting is incredibly easy and user friendly.

Cons: My biggest complaint is that there aren't more options when it comes to posting compensation. In some cases I would like to add additional information like a figure for potential bonus or a figure for an average commission. My other complaint is the ZipRecruiter almost makes it too easy for candidates to apply for jobs. People are applying for jobs without actually looking at what they are applying for. This is a pro and a con to some. Having the 1-click and apply method sometimes doesn't do me any good when looking at candidates because I know a majority of these people didn't actually take the time to look at the job description and its requirements.

Pros: We are using ZipRecruiter in our company since it gives us a steady stream of inbound candidates. Sourcing on LinkedIn, and sending outreach emails to candidates are a good deal since by that process we have already screened the candidates. However, not all candidates are found on LinkedIn. Almost half of interested candidates that we process for our company openings especially in our Executive Search arm are from ZipRecruiter.

I like the functionality of ZipRecruiter that you can include qualifying questions to your job posting. It is like a first line of defense to weed out unfit and not really interested candidates.

Cons: The only bottleneck I have with ZipRecruiter is that the templates for posting are cynical. You can't really incorporate much design that will make the job posting interesting.

I hope ZipRecruiter steps up its game, and be mindful that most job hunters now are millennial, and they need to ramp up in terms of being responsive to the modern candidate pool

Overall: ZipRecruiter is a great help for all our recruitment needs. ZipRecruiter is best used for executive positions but downplays its essence in terms of rank and file recruitment.

Pros: Some of the things that I like about ZipRecruiter are that as a job seeker, it is very easy to create a profile and the system ensures that it matches your profile against matching jobs. I think it has some of the better job matching mechanisms in place to be able to search for matching jobs that relate better to your skillset and experience. I also like the feature of one click apply in which you can apply for a position without filling in additional details as long as you have the requisite details in the your past job history and profile. The notification and alert tools available when a job is posted that match your profile is also good.

Cons: The experience of using of the website seems to be heavy and the general navigation of the system is not an intuitive as I would have liked. Also, it would be great if there was a follow up mechanism available when you apply for a job as there is latency in the current status of the openings and what is displayed on the website. If a resume needs to be updated on the website, the process is slow and not very responsive.

Overall: Job Matching criteria is pretty refined in the system and that helps in you being matched with the right opportunities and explore relevant openings. The process to apply for the jobs is also pretty smooth and helps ensure that you are aware of the latest openings matching your skills and experience.

Pros: 1. you can use this to source for candidates that you deemed fit with your job opening. You can see candidates' qualification and skills. And can send them email about the job opening that you have. In that way you can get their interest to have their contact information to reach them at

2. You can also have a job posted and let these candidate apply on those posting

3. this application is best used for Light industrial/Commercial jobs

4. you can also see reviews from people who have worked on companies that can be used as a basis for recruiting

5. Subscription for this site is decent.

Cons: 1. Since resumes posted on this site does not have contact information, you have to wait for for these candidates to reply with your reach out

2. Though this site is very useful, it might not be useful with some cities and state

Overall: I can not think of anything I do not like with this site. Overall, it helps job seeker and employer to reach best candidates available in the market.

Pros: There will never be a shortage of resumes to review. Every day that the job was listed as active, we received at least twenty responses. I really like the ability to categorize and filter by quality and reaction. It's absolutely necessary given the volume involved. I have had good and bad resumes through this aggregation site. Hiring quality people is the hardest part of being an employer. Also, we receive a discount offer in the mail or by email more often than we can use it as we are not always hiring. This is good!

Cons: Because this service pulls from a number of other websites, you get many resumes in different formats. I require that the resume be at least in Word, ideally in PDF. I wish we could limit the sources or send an automatic email from specific sources. (I'm looking at you, Yahoo!) I also will not follow up if there are numerous spelling errors or an unprofessional email. Unfortunately, we receive very many resumes that have to be dismissed based on that criteria alone.

Overall: We received so many resumes that it was nearly a job in itself to sort through. We were only looking for one employee but finding good people is difficult. Thus the massive number of responses is quite necessary.

Comments: Zip uses an avatar named Phil. I would like to see other avatrs available like a female for females or males who prefer female recruitment managers.

Pros: Very easy to use. You do get automated updates both as a user from the hiring side and also as a job seeker. I have used on both sides of the equation for about 3 years each.

Cons: Job seekers - well, no one has called me saying hey ZipRecruiter worked for me and I fgot a job. It really works better as a recruitment tool but then there is a big drawback. if you are looking for experienced people, they will usually have targeted resumes and zip only lets you store one for their easy 1-click apply. Quite a limiting factor. I as a hiring manager then need to get the person to send the targeted resume or I spin my wheels seakig with a not quite wat I am looking for person.

Pros: As stated in the title I have used Zip Recruiter to hire employees and I have also used it to acquire a job. I highly recommend Zip Recruiter for both hiring and getting hired. This is a simple and straight forward for both.
As far as using this to hire employees it is competitive on pricing and had some high quality applicants. We used this to hire an office admin and a developer. I can't remember what we paid but I want to say it was one of the cheapest job recruitment companies. We received over 200 applicants for the office admin position. It is a simple process of scanning through applicants. You can mark the ones you are interested in and the ones you are not.
I was able to find a job on Zip Recruiter from a high quality employer. Finding a job is pretty easy and straight forward. You can search companies, titles, roles, etc. You can be notified by jobs you might be interested in. Once you upload your resume and update your profile most of the jobs you can apply with a one click process.
The application for IOS and Android is one of the best things about this. It was simple to use to scan through all of the applicants and useful to be able to do it anywhere. Looking for jobs on the app was clear and straightforward. It is a clean and well developed app.

Cons: I honestly cannot thing of one thing that I did not like about Zip Recruiter. I highly recommend the product to everyone.

Pros: I find that ZIp Recruiter is an amazing tool. Even when you are using a trial it gets you the numbers of applicants that you are looking for that meet my requirements. I love the fact that after setting up a trial that i recieved a call from a sales agent almost right away... but....

Cons: For some reason, not everyone in the sales team knew that I was called and still attempting to find out if the service was worth the cost or not. When I say that I received calls from almost the entire sales team I did. I took the time out of busy schedule and spoke to each and everyone of them and the focus of the call was clear. That they were wanting me to pay for a month and that the product that I picked ( which was the cheapest) was not the correct one that I need to upgrade to the highest package. I explained each and every time that I understand that you feel that way .. but I have to make sure that the product is worth that price tag. That didn't hinder them, and a few had the balls to get upset with me like.. I should know who they are and they are the best. hmm mmm at that point I no longer wanted to partner or use a company that was more worried about meeting their quota then if I as a customer is happy with the product or service.

Pros: The UI was very easy to use. It was easy to post job openings and then replicate those job openings to create additional job openings.

Cons: ZipRecruiter provides 1-Click Apply functionality to its job seekers. This may be good for job seekers but it really stinks for someone looking to hire. Employers end up with a mountain of applicants that A) aren't really interested, or B) are a really poor fit. Many of the candidates don't even respond when we reach out to them. Its like there are masses of ghost candidates posting job application responses. It took so much time to weed out this ghost responses that we ended up terminating ZipRecruiter and going with another company. In addition, if you dare sign up with ZipRecruiter expect a barrage of upsell calls from their sales teams. They will call you every month or even every week trying to upsell you on stuff. What is crazy to me is they continued to try to upsell us even when they knew we were not happy with the base service we had. Finally, when we had had enough and called to cancel they treated us like badly when we canceled then hung up on us. Crazy! There are so many job posting boards/platforms out there, I can't see how they are keeping customers. I expect their churn rate must be very very high.

Pros: Zip Recruiter encompasses a basic website. Zip Recruiter includes a basic search engine. Zip Recruiter has a basic website layout. Zip Recruiter offers basic email notifications.

Cons: The automative responses from Zip Recruiter's recruitment team seem vague and not realistic. The application process of entering information into limited areas of text boxes or classified fields seems very minimal for a recruiting management system. Overall, the website has changed or the user interface has experienced enhancements that limit the amount of information that can be uploaded or added by an end user. The end user will receive multiple text message or email notifications. Generic messages can be automated as well as forwarded to the candidate or user by Zip Recruiter and not the company's or organizations human resources manager. As a result, the expected results of utilizing Zip Recruiter as a job search resource has been modified drastically, perhaps more web development is on the horizon.

Overall: Zip Recruiter offers great search results. Zip Recruiter offers standard job opportunities for candidates. Zip Recruiter offers various subscriptions to showcase your skills and talents as a candidate.

Cons: In order to get real value from ZipRecruiter, you need to set up a budget for "pay per clicks" which adds up over time. This gets you a little more branding and "featured employer" status, but your jobs are still emailed with other competing jobs to potential candidates. As a test, I received a job I posted for a Certified Nursing Assistant - and the email I received had 9 other CNA jobs (including our biggest competitor down the street).

Cons: Everyone of the 10 candidates I got had NO experience in the industry and were applying for a SENIOR LEADERSHIP position. I was so disappointed, but I signed up for a 30 free trial and I thought I would give them time to make it work, until I saw a charge on my card! I called them to complain and they told me that there was never a 30 free trial, not only that, they told me that I needed to put more qualifications to LIMIT my posting! Not only was that INSANE and ILLOGICAL they had the gall to tell me what I need in an applicant. I told them that I was 100% dissatisfied with their service, their customer service and their dishonest advertising. They told me that they would not refund me the fee they charged without my consent. Furthermore, they tried to sell me again on their worthless service. I am so upset with their services I will no longer listen to the podcasts that they sponsor .

Overall: My wallet was significantly lighter after they took my money, lied to me, and offered a terrible product in return.

Pros: They send everyday notifications with latest job postings based on your criteria and experience. You get the latest information on the job postings and the preferences can be tailored widely. Good thing is everyday you see the updated information with the details of the job description and also if anyone is looking for a candidate with my background and experience. You even have the contact details of the posting, if you have to reach out to some one asking for more information. ZipRecruiter will allow you to find the right fit for your background.

Cons: When the job submission is made , I mean after carefully going through the listings and selecting a position. We have to fill out the application and submit the resume for the position. Its a process, but I hardly received any calls from the vendors/clients asking me about my profile submission. I am not sure if anyone is even getting to see my resume and reviewing it. I always felt like it is another online tool for submission and the companies doesn't even really care about so many resumes that they receive and they need a referral candidate or someone internal to fill the position.

Overall: I was able to see a huge list of current job listings and also daily notifications of updated job postings. I don't have to search on internet and everything is in my email and can access the email when ever I want.

Pros: This program lets you create a very specific add to post for possible new hires, You can thin out the unqualified or less skilled applicants and customize your add with specific questions, expectations and scope of work, if applicable. People have to answer to your criteria when they reply back so you only interview the specific group of people that answer your ad with the information your looking for. It also allows you to have more than one of your staff have access also, so they may review incoming applications as well.

Cons: I think if it had a better way to strain the junk and unwanted ads from entering my inbox with real applicants, so I dont have to delete them all the time would make it that much better. If you are new to using this software it will take some practice until your a pro at manipulating your ads into the perfect way that you want them to look.

Overall: i think Ziprecruiter could definetly help you to expand your employee base if that is what you are looking for. I print out stacks of leads that have replied to my ad almost on a daily basis, than I have the receptionist call them all and verify they want to interview with us and set a date to come in

Pros: I like the effectiveness of being able to narrow down what I am looking for when hiring people or even when looking for jobs that are open. The product gives ample options that help to narrow your results to locations, years worked, the timeframe of the post being up, and so much more.

Cons: The only con I have is that some of the postings are from 30+ days ago and these jobs happen to be closed. I think that is they were removed it would create an even better query when searching for jobs or even posting them so they do not get mixed with the postings that are no longer active.

Pros: We hire a large number of seasonal staff every year for holiday events. In the past, this has been a clunky and laborious process. ZipRecruiter has made it so much easier to publicize our postings and get in the applications we need. No longer are we stressing about how we'll make sure to get enough applications to do the hiring we need. ZipRecruiter has streamlined every aspect of this and now we can focus on the business, not on hiring!

Cons: My only complaint is that there could be more functionality for posting compensation. We hire a lot of roles with varying levels of compensation and various compensation structure (hourly, salary, commission, contracting, etc). It doesn't feel like ZipRecruiter pprovides me enough functionality I need to properly describe to candidates what the compensation package will entail.

Overall: This software makes our hiring teams lives so much easier.

Pros: Chat feature! This is perhaps the most intriguing feature of this software, you can get directly in contact with support using the "live chat" feature. They will be able to answer all of your questions related to your job search.

Apply online! This website has every job you could think of and you can sort them by salary, zip code etc. just simply type in the job you want and you instantly have access to over 1000 results!

Very user friendly user interface, this process of finding jobs is extremely easy using zip recruiter, it is also possible to apply directly from the job online.

Cons: Lack of jobs in certain areas! This is not really a con of the software but there are times where certain jobs are just not in demand or companies choose not to post them on zip recruiter. The # of jobs could be increased but this is still a valuable software.

Overall: Wonderful app for job applications!

I used ziprecruiter multiple times to search for new or open job positions, it was great.

Pros: How keywords were used in the job title to pull up certain jobs. The other feature I really liked was the added drop down complete job description that listed requirements, pay scale, hours and benefits.

Cons: Some of the advertising for "work at home" schemes seemed pretty sketchy for a legitimate job search engine to be affiliated with.,

Overall: It seems to be a very popular venue for employers to post open positions and very few out dated or filled positions were online. I applied to many open positions through the listings I found on this website.

Pros: The software is very user friendly. It is easy to not only post openings for my organization but to also manage the applicants who apply. The graphic User Interface (GUI) is user-appealing and I found there to be very little time required to ramp up when I first started using the system.

Cons: When you pause your subscription, you are charged a month to not lose your stored data. When we have a lull in hiring, it doesn't make sense to pay for job slots, so we request a pause. However, it seems counter-intuitive to charge an employee who obviously wants to use your product again going forward when hiring needs change by holding their data ransom.

Pros: A huge time saver, I am able to post too tons of targeted job sites with only one post. I can mange
and track applicants within the system easily and the applicant database is fairly strong! The company brand is also growing which is driving more candidates to their website.

Cons: Cost is determined by "slots" and can add up quickly. Viewing passive candidate resumes is also costly but you can preview before purchasing contact info which is nice. The zipresumes are often poorly formatted and tough to read.

I never contacted customer support so I can't speak on that.

Overall: Targeted Recruiting. Great if you have a small HR/Recruiting team as it saves a lot of time.

Pros: It is a great tool that s seen by a lot of folks. It is overall an easy software to use start to finish. It can be a little confusing at first but Zip as a good customer support base.

Cons: It is too expensive for what you are really getting. Every click a charge incurs. It would be more feasible if it was based on resumes submitted. I don't really get being charged for curious lookers. It is not really cost effective in that sense. Every time I have used it I have been charged extra. Zip was very quick to credit my card, but it is still a hassle.

Overall: I did not hire anyone that I received a resume from Zip. I am sure the exposure for the company was good to a point!

Pros: Ease of use and the ability to hire and then keep the acct on monthly subscription then turn it on again, MONTHS later and start right back up from where I was, as needed

Cons: Nothing software related, they help me put the word out, it's not their fault people do not read the ad and apply reasonably. I wish there was a way to edit folks out like junk mail. People who are obviously applying for their unemployment benefits but do not really want the job. They are hours away, have zero experience and clearly not right.

Overall: Lots of applicants for not a lot of money. Old days I had to pay for each word in a paper. Now with Zip, I can customize my add and get lots of people applying

Pros: My favorite part of ZR is the ease for applicants to apply for jobs via smart phone. This is modern and super productive for both parties. As a hobby graphic design I also enjoy the simple design of the site. Layout is simple and the colors are a great fit. The most beneficial part of ZR the work they already do for you. With the "great match" feature my team was able to prioritize screens based on the qualified profiles.

Cons: We had some issues with our representative. She was super sweet yet we were promised 7 days more than we were actually given; each profile was supposed be granted 25/day limit yet it changed to 25/month in which I had to share with my teammates. This was super frustrating. Although ZR holds some great feature we did find we were getting large pool of candidates yet most of them were not nearly a fit. I also don't see a 25/day limit being beneficial for agencies with many positions to fill.

Pros: The product is very user friendly and easy to understand, it is user friendly for all recruitment needs.

Cons: The customer service is poor. I attempted to contact the company in an attempt to set up a standard monthly fee and program for our recruiting needs and they never responded. I attempted to reach out to them 4 times before giving up and discontinuing the usage of the product. The product is great, they just need to be responsive to their paying customers.

Pros: Zip Recruiter was an easy program to setup and use. Our in house recruiters are from a generation that isn't as savvy with technology as the younger generations. They were able to setup their searches easily and quickly. Great product!

Cons: The only down fall of this software was that there were not many search options for the job category that we were searching for. There were plenty in every other field but not many in CDL drivers.

Pros: Love this site. As a freelancer also looking for a part/full-time position, I enjoy the straightforward, no-nonsense look and workings of ZipRecruiter. I can search for jobs by keyword/title, define my geographic area I'm willing to work, receive messages and notifications regarding my applications and their respective employers. The suggested jobs, based on my past searches and experiences is an incredibly nice touch. In addition to these suggested jobs, the "posted" so so "hours ago" is a great tool to help me get my application in first. Overall, great site.

Cons: In terms of functionality and use of this app, I have no complaints. Nitpicking, the color and design may be a bit dull, leading to a daunting search if you look through the pages long enough. Again, this is a nitpick.

Pros: I like the fact that I can narrow down my search for a specific job position and location by entering a job title and zip code and get a list of available jobs in my area, this has made my life so much easier than going to each website, then scroll down for "job opportunities" and fill in a million questions they have. My favorite part is the part where you can apply for a job right from the list they have provided. ZipRecruiter has helped me gain additional exposure and has totally opened many opportunities and doors for me. I would recommend it to anyone who's looking for a job, or hiring.

Cons: The automotive responses from Zip Recruiter's recruitment team seem not realistic.

Pros: Has a ton of features for the mobile user. This includes viewing resumes and browsing job.

Cons: I am not a fan of the overall GUI on this app. It appears too convoluted and jammed pack on such tiny screens. Also, compared to indeed's app, it is not as simple and straightforward.

Overall: Overall, the app is free so, you can't beat it. However, even at the free price, there are still superior apps to try. Nonetheless, the site works seamlessly.

Pros: Placing a listing is simple and easy and begin receiving significant response within a day. I tend to get more "hidden gem" candidates than through other job posting sites. I like the ability to categorize my level of interest in the candidate so I can go back and choose the ones that will make it through the screening process.

Cons: The resume notification isn't as user friendly as some other job posting sites. There is a function to click an icon if I want fewer "candidates like this one." I don't like using that because there could be 10 different reasons this applicant didn't process through to the next hiring stage, this icon doesn't allow for me to indicate if the person didn't meet location, education, job experience...

End results (applicant flow) are very good.

Pros: This is a good product for a corporation that has dozens of different types of jobs that need filling.
It is easy to use and low-priced.

Cons: It does not pre-qualify candidates so you can get 100+ inappropriate resumes for a position, which slows you down.

It does not work with 2 major job sites, Indeed.com & Dice. Plus, it doesn't work with small niche market job posting sites that I use.

Overall: ZipRecruiter is a terrific product for large corporations, in that it allows you to post a job to multiple sites with the click of a button at a very low cost. But unfortunately, it's not great for my particular niche market - so I eventually canceled my subscription.

I initially signed up for the product as it would enable me to post jobs on Indeed.com at no extra cost. When Indeed.com severed the relationship (to increase direct revenue to their site, the product was no longer a good fit for me. Plus, only 1 out of a 100+ resumes were a fit for the jobs that I was posting - so I found myself taking too much time reviewing inappropriate resumes.

Recommendations to other buyers: Not at this time.

Pros: ZipRecruiter is one of those cases were you really love the application. For being a Web Application, I can say that the interface looks similar to a graphic design website, beautifully done, minimalistic in a pragmatic sense and incredibly easy to use. It fullfills all the basics of finding a job, and all I can hope is too see it grow. As someone who worked at a job search engine company (Stating which one would be unprofessional), I can say that ZipRecruiter is better done than many, and I hope to see it grow to become a standard option in the job hunt field.

Cons: The only downside I can really say about ZipRecruiter is that it does not get the recognition it deserves, the market is currently taken over different job search engines that are not as good if you compare it to how well designed ZipRecruiter is. As I stated before, I hope to see it grow.

Overall: As a Human Resources/Recruiter, it helps me find people I need for my company. It is easy to use and have a much better interface compared to many other job search engines in the market.

Pros: It is easy to use and the site is easy to navigate. It has all the features I need to find the right candidate and keeps notes.

Cons: I don't like the fact that we get numerous resumes with nothing on it or its an copy of some website material. I feel like the screening process should be better when completing a resume. Alot of times we get people who don't describe what they actually did at there job so I have no clue what it is they have done.

Overall: The benefits I got from using the site was that there is a data base of resumes I can go through which is nice. I do like the fact that I can attach notes as I am reviewing the resumes and go back and see which ones are the best fit for the position. I do like the fact you have the option of rejecting the resume and it deletes from your cue.

Pros: I really liked how easy to use this application was. Simple to navigate and easy to understand where each option was found. There had been a large number of potentials that applied right away.

Used this through our entire company to post multiple job listing and allowed for multiple managers to monitor the applicants.

Cons: Of the applicants that applied there seemed to be multiples who did not fit the criteria. For instance we selected to allow only local applicants, but many out of state applicants came forward. Seemed like something that should have been easier to weed out than it was.

Pros: I really like that ZipRecruiter routed potential candidates to us, instead of having applicants apply. They used tools to match people to our needs, rather than having applicant apply directly to us. This was definitely a different way to do it, and as an employer, it didn't feel as high pressure to look through resumes.

If I were to look for a position, I can see on the opposite side how ZipRecruiter would be beneficial to me, as well.

I really liked the dashboard and the set up of the website - it was very user friendly, and I never had to reach out to customer support, though I'm sure if I had they would have been really helpful.

Overall: The benefit I got was qualified applicants for the job opening I posted. Sometimes it's frustrating to post a job and not get applicants that match what you're looking for, but almost all of the individuals we spoke with were more than qualified and that's really refreshing.

Pros: It has the features any other job board has: Listings, profile to upload a resume / cover letter. What stood out to me was after applying for a job, in the confirmation email, was more related jobs to apply for. I know other jobboards do this, but ZIpRecruiter's seemed tailored to me. On a lot of the other boards they were just random careers pulled from who knows where.

Cons: There should be a way to stop getting certain jobs in your related jobs, or to just stop showing up on the board. I would constantly be shown jobs I didn't like, or that I couldn't apply for. It would be nice to have a feature to take those out of the view.

Comments: Again, for the right roles, pretty good product.

Pros: Depending upon what type of talent you're looking for can be an effective recruiting solution. For high volume staffing of roles, especially with a fairly "low bar" of minimal requirements, decent product. They do a lot of radio advertising which drives candidate pools.

Cons: It's a good competitor to other basic job board solutions like CareerBuilder/Monster, etc. but not really the best place to source highly compensated/complex roles.

Pros: I've used ZipRecruiter personally when searching for my last job. Compared to other job posting websites, ZipRecruiter seemed to do a much better job matching postings related to my search. I like that the search preferences are right at the top of the screen to help me filter my search making this process easier. I also really loved the save option, when searching there were plenty of times that I didn't have time to actually submit an application, but wanted to apply for the job without losing track of where I saw the listing.

Cons: As with other job listing websites, there tend to be a lot of outdated listings. There were many times I would go to apply for a particular job to find that it had been taken off of the company website due to the slot being filled. I'm sure that the companies posting these positions have a hand in making sure their postings are taken off of these websites, but I wish there was a better filtering system to get rid of outdated posts.

Pricing is comparable to other sites that do close to the same thing. They have a trusted name!

Surprisingly, their employer view has a ton of features. It's like a light applicant tracking system for sponsored jobs where you can contact directly, reassign candidates to other postings, etc.

Cons: Their Employer view can be a bit overwhelming. The page has a lot of colors and buttons - which I'm not a huge fan of.

Did not have very good luck with ZipRecruiter.

Pros: The ability to mark reasons for not hiring, organize applicants efficiently, getting emails with all candidate information.

Cons: The fact that applicants were able to submit an application with little to no information. I often received applications with not even a phone number on them. Some of them were really bad and I wouldn't even have a way to contact the applicant. I found there to be more low-quality candidates on Zip Recruiter.

Overall: Received a few viable candidates, but not many.

Pros: Very helpful tool for recruiting. It enabled me to post job openings and provide specific scope for permanent roles and project details for freelance engagements.

To make sure that candidates applying are a fit, it also enables you to put a screening question and once sent to your email a CV or resume is already attached which makes every recruiters' life more comfortable regarding screening candidates.

Cons: The screening questions are not enough to limit the candidate applying for a certain position. I hope it will be powered by a bot or AI soon so that it can tremendously filter candidates who apply that are really not a fit - joy applicants.

Pros: If you're looking for your next career step/contract or just a new position, you can't go wrong with ZipRecruiter. I use it to find new contracts and to help evaluate my worth, from time to time. When I first signed up, I wasn't sure if this was a good source, or just another one of the many that simply pool resources from other places. It has definitely been the former! ZipRecruiter has an amazing number of positions available.

Cons: You do get a lot of emails from them if you don't tailor your preferences properly, so it's not really a sleight on them, just make sure you're specific in your email alerts.

Pros: I enjoy being able to boost the job ads through the site and not have to pay for any other marketing or have to manually post much. Ziprecruiter filters out the less serious candidates and makes it so that only people with real interest come through.

Cons: I dislike that Ziprecruiter is not compatible with Breezy HR. We use the breezy site as our main hub and would like it if everything could be controlled through breezy as we have other recruiting sites.

Pros: Shear quantity of potential job opportunities

Cons: Most of the things it sends are not even close to the role a user has specified-
Location, salary range, role/ level selections seem to return VERY broad results

Overall: Very little benefit-
Today, for some reason I received a message that they could not deliver to my email address.i reset and confirmed my email address at least 5 times - when I contacted support they said ( via email) that their system shows I was not allowing messages from their system ( interesting since I received that email) and would need to change my email address.
Typical - they have screwed up and I have to fix it-
Oh- and I was not relayed a message regarding an interview so they screwed that up.
ZipRecruiter seems to think they can overwhelm with quantity and no one will notice the complete lack of quality.

I can see the potential, but overall, ZipRecruiter didn't work for my company/industry.

Pros: ZipRecruiter is easy to use and has a lot of features that are extremely helpful in finding qualified candidates for the positions you are trying to fill. Their service also sends your ad out across a plethora of job boards. Coverage and visibility is a definite plus.

Pros: Ease of candidate review and ability to comment for all people involved in HR and hiring. Rating and prescreen questions allows for quick review and dismissal of applicants that don't meet minimum requirements without wasting time going through the entire candidate "package" Very customoizable for the position being adverstised.

Cons: It seem that there were times when I did not see some of the comments that an fellow executive had made regarding a candidate and there were other times when candidates were hidden from my view because someone else had already deselcted the candidate without me having viewed the candidate where there could have been a contradicting opinion that required further discussion.

Overall: Great features, customizable for each position, and prescreening questions to eliminate candidates that fail to meet minimum job related skills or requirements.

Pros: Zip Recruiter is very user friendly and easily customizable. The tool is very easy to manuever around. There are plenty of feature to meet what you need for recruiting. I was able to set it the way I wanted.

Cons: Zip Recruiter did have a lot of talent in their pool, but may be limited to certain industries. I think they focus more on medical and technical fields and have a vast pool of candidates. Other fields not so much. The tool is also very expensive. Which I think make the tool not worth the price. I had to stop using for this reason.

Overall: It is user friendly and some of the industry segments have great pool of talent. But not all fields are equally represeted.

Pros: Pros of this software is that it will take the information given and list out suggested jobs for the user. This is very beneficial as it takes a lot of time to shuffle through various jobs. Also, I really appreciate the feature that takes an uploaded resume and creates one within the software that is searchable for employers. This is the one of the main ways that recruiters find candidates.

Cons: I don't appreciate how there is no option to delete your resume, you can only update it. I accidentally uploaded a resume with personal information that I didn't want public on the website, and it would have been convenient to just delete it until I could create a new one to upload. There should be an option to search for jobs that are temporary verses permanent.

Overall: One benefit of this software is the suggested jobs. This makes the software convenient for the user. Another great feature is the resume uploading process that makes the user searchable for recruiters and employer.

Comments: A good source to find candidates, but watch what gets boosted.

Pros: Very user friendly for posting a variety of ads. Has a variety of tips to help you generate more candidates including a feature that tells you the average salary of the job title you are posting.

Cons: They "accidentally" boost posts pretty frequently charging our account a significant amount and then we have to call them and explain the whole situation to cancel it.

Pros: It's cheap and allows hiring managers and internal recruiters to quickly share the workload related to screening and onboarding. Really like the quick, but very useful emails, with the resume attached. Great for sitting at the airport and reviewing resumes. The custom tags are very useful.

Cons: The UI doesn't allow much personalization. I only care about a couple job postings, and everything from my company is loaded in, without the ability to save custom views and dashboards. Also would really like a high level dashboard with key metrics (new applicants, total unreviewed applicants, number of thumbs up/flat/down, ALL PER POSITION, or FOR ONLY THE POSITIONS I CARE ABOUT)

Recommendations to other buyers: Constantly hone in your JD's based on the candidates you get. Sometimes I am getting too technical resources, so I tweak it, and get too junior resources, and keep adjusting your JD's

Pros: We were very impressed by the response rate of our boosted and non boosted jobs received. The software was extremely user-friendly. I was able to log into the system and navigate throughout it without formal training. The best thing about ZipRecruiter was the Job Performance Analytics, you can really see how great of a job your postings are doing in certain job markets and with what keywords. FANTASTIC!

Cons: What I noticed that I liked least about this software was how the contacts are divided for sourcing purposes. They is a limited number of candidates in the packages you buy to contact candidates when sourcing directly. I do believe that those contact packages can be negotiated though.

Overall: The benefits that my company received from our free trial in ZipRecruiter was eye-opening education. You literally have no idea about how good another software is until you try it. I see ZipRecruiter as one of our job board suppliers in the near future.

Pros: Zip recruiter pushes your job posting to many other job sites on the internet. I was surprised to see all the platforms where our job posting was listed. My favorite feature is the ability to set minimum qualifications which automatically pre-screen applicants. It saved me a lot of time because I did not have to review resumes where candidates did not meet the minimum qualifications. I could also easily identify which candidates I wanted to interview.

Cons: The initial set up time to schedule the job posting took longer than other sites but mostly because I was using the specialized filter features.

Pros: Zip Recruiter is a very good application for hiring employees. The database of available resources is good. The application is very easy to use. It has a lot of features to be able to filter and adjust as you need to for what you need.

Cons: Although I believe that Zip Recruiter is a good hiring tool, it is way too expensive. Other competitors are much better when you need to hire in the low number like 1-3. If you¿re hiring more than 5 employees, it may be more economical.

Pros: A very large collection of job postings and a daily curated job posting list that gets emailed to job seekers. The matching algorithm for jobs posters and job seekers are pretty good and provides a great selection of positions to choose from.

Cons: Sometimes there are TOO many job postings out there and most of them are from 3rd party recruitment websites similarly to ZipRecruiter which just dilutes the job seeking process. Some of the positions seemed like bots were creating them and non-responsive at all when submitting an application.

Pros: Overall this makes searching for jobs quite easy. The program allows you to upload your resume and additional information about yourself. It will also allow you to make your resume public for employees to seek you out as well as recommend specifics jobs that might be good for you. Overall it has been pretty easy to use and has a wide variety of employers looking to fill positions.

Cons: The one thing that I find a little frustrating about it is that once you apply for the job you don't ever hear when you do not get the position. You only see that you application has been viewed and otherwise it is radio silence. I have used other job sites that after "x" amount of time the employer hasn't looked at your (ie. 2 weeks) then you get an email saying it isn't a fit. I like the way that works and would just like to be more in the loop with where my application is in the process.

Pros: ZipRecruiter is an okay site. I've browsed it several times. I feel like if a person is looking for several companies, zip recruiter is the place to go.I like the fact that they have the one click option, they always have someone to answer questions and they site is very friendly.

Cons: There are a few cons of ZipRecruiter. I feel like the jobs on the site could be more detailed, the viewing of the resume is somewhat annoying, and also the updates constantly coming to a person's email can get kind of aggravating. If a person does not match a job description 100% then they should not get a notification.

Comments: I have used this system to fill several positions. I send all candidates from all sources (my own personal networking, linkedin, etc.) to the ziprecruiter posting so that all candidates can be tracked in one place. It's been especially useful for collaborating with others. I've been really happy with it

Pros: - Ease of use -- very intuitive system - The ability to create online interviews for pre-screening -- it has saved so much time to be able to get deal breakers out of the way online (e.g. when remote work is not supported, etc.) - Easy filtering, sorting, exporting, etc by multiple variables - Collaboration with others -- using the comments section, status, and other fields is very helpful - Reasonable pricing in comparison to other systems

Cons: If you send an email to a candidate from the system, it doesn't save it in a sent folder in the system. You can have the system send you a copy of the email, but I would prefer to just be able to look in a sent folder in the system itself

Pros: It was very easy to set up and upload my resume. You have such a database of jobs at the tip of your fingers and the email support searched through and suggested jobs in your industry and updated when ads had closed.

Cons: The problem with this software is with all of this ease, it was inundate with scammy jobs, jobs that had been posted onto zip recruiter but requested that you follow up on their own website and old postings that had been neglected and left active on the site.

Overall: In the end, ZipRecruiter gave me false hope and many of the jobs I applied and/or interviewed for were old posts, posts that asked you to go through another entire application process through their website and jobs that were falsely advertised and turning over employees at an insane rate. By 'scammy' I mean 'jobs' posted as marketing agency positions but really were MLM companies looking for people to buy in. Not sure how much of that us ZipRecruiter's fault, maybe MLM's are taking over the internet!

Pros: ZipRecruiter helped every step of the way from setup to management of the adds and recruits.

Cons: It really needs to be dialed in to avoid getting recruits that do not meet specific requirements.

Overall: We were spending a lot in marketing, billboards, radio, newspaper and getting little return for our investment. Just 10 days of using ZipRecruiter and we had more applicants than we usually get in 2 months.

Useful tools but not great quality candidates.

Pros: I liked that Ziprecruiter had a lot of options to help find candidates who fit the qualifications we needed for the position. You could add questions for the applicants to fill out, instead of just submitting a resume, that let you know what their expectations were for the position. Also, it gave access to a lot of different sites to list the job opening on.

Cons: My biggest problem with Ziprecruiter was that, while you had access to a lot of job listing sites, none of them were very big. You didn't have access to the bigger players in the job search, limiting the amount of quality candidates you could be put in front of. I also felt like it was more expensive than other sites we tried, with less results. And while Ziprecruiter did have vetting questions to weed out less desirable applicants, most of the them just skipped the questions anyway.

Simple recruiting software in the recruitment industry.

Pros: The best thing of ZipRecruiter is that Job posting is done in an easy way. The cost of ZipRecruiter is comparatively less than Monster and Career Builder.

Cons: It is a good tool for the simple searches but for the complex searches the quality of the results is very bad. Sometimes I am able to get a single resume for the whole U.S for the positions.

I have had a great experience with ZipRecruiter, it is easy to use and gives me great candidates.

Pros: I like that it gives me access to qualified candidates and is simple to post open positions. Most of the people we move forward with come from here.

Cons: What I don't like is that I am only able to post 3 positions at once. Because of this, we have to choose carefully what we put on their, usually our most urgent positions that need to be filled.

Pros: Very easy to use, even for novice users. Job postings and resume management is efficient, and can actually be used a as decent Applicant Tracking System, or integrated with your current ATS.

Cons: Prices have increased dramatically over the past few quarters. Also, custom candidate screeners do not always filter-out applicants that do not meet job requirements.

Overall: Although pricing is high, we've had a positive return on investment. This software consistantly delivers quick results, and has improved our firm's recruiting life-cycle.

Pros: Easy to move around & through program. I like that I can filter by city, state, job titles, all jobs in a n area. Easy to make changes & upload resumes. I like that they send you matches that appear to be qualified. I like that they show a pay range for some positions. Easy to apply

Cons: I'd like to see a little more work by Zip Recruiter to cull out the "repetitive" job postings of the same company, encourage more to add salary, and once you have deleted a job from your "Suggested Jobs" ensure they don't keep coming up..

Pros: Finding that "special someone" to fill a position can be rough. Zip Recruiter is by far the best product out there to get qualified applicants quickly. This is cost effective and very easy to use. My favorite part is that when you post an open position with Zip Recruiter you are essentially posting with a lot of others for free as Zip Recruiter puts your ad in multiple locations. You tell it what you are looking for and it will match your needs to applicants.

Cons: I have to say that there really isn't anything I do not like about it.

Pros: This soft ware is unique in its layout, easier to navigate and find what you are looking for in a job and for potential new hires. You can actually see when the employers are on live looking at applicants and the zip recruiter application is clean too. Zip recruiter is the only job search software I use, I used to ti use monster and indeed but not since 2013 or 2014. My current emplyer only uses zip recruiter which is how I found my current job.

Cons: There isn't anything this far I can complain about zip recruiter. It's nice and laid out clean. But I did notice that if I have already applied for a job and I have not heard anything from that employer, I will try to apply again and it doesn't allow me to do that.

Overall: i got my current job from using zip recruiter and have helped my current employer find quality employees. This software helps employers find the right candidates.

I use ZipRecruiter to find available jobs around my home.

Pros: The ease of use to quickly apply to multiple jobs within minutes. Also, it gives detailed information about the job benefits. Such as pay, 401K, dental, and life insurance.

Cons: Sometimes it shows me awesome jobs that are out of my radius(how far I am willing to commute). I wish there was a way to stay in a certain miles radius but I guess it wants to show you all the available jobs in your field.

Overall: Applying to as many available jobs as possible. It also tells you how long a job has been posted!

Pros: I like that it gives you suggestions based on your own personal history as well as your searches. I like the interface, it is clean, simple and attractive. And lastly, I like that there is a "1-click" option to apply to most jobs.

Cons: Although it is nice for them to give job suggestions, some of the things I am "qualified for" I have no background in. They send multiple job suggestions that are outside of my field or level of experience.

Overall: I was able to find a job fast because my employer was able to reach out to me via the software before I even found them to apply.
