Results are no different - little to no results. My last exchange resulted in me frustrated and him being rude to me. Pros Easy to use to post an ad. Also there's a big network of employers that are using this app which increases your possibility to have the right contact through it. Cons It keeps sending me wrong notifications despite that I specified what are my interests. Sometimes the program is just a bridge to take you to the official employer website where you need to introduce all your information. We can add our details and resume and search the job that can match for our profession. Pros It is easy to search a job in this software. Without clicking the job we can see almost every details. So, it is less time consuming. We can see the near by jobs by type the zip code of ours. Also,we get a notification on whether the applied job is viewed. We don't have to type the details for apply for new job there is a easy apply button to apply. Cons This is not a bad software for job seekers. The demerit I have to talk about the irritating emails about the recommended jobs, which may be sometimes not helpful for our profession. Other is that, there should be a space available to add reference links like LinkedIn. And also, some jobs don't have enough descriptions to understand what is the role in the company. Zip is linked up with additional diversity job boards that your job is automatically posted to as part of the package Zip offers. If your company, like mine, has diversity and inclusion initiatives then ZipRecruiter would be a great addition to where you are already advertising. Pros I like that ZipRecruiter has a focus on Diversity and Inclusion and posts your job to many other job boards. Zip does a great job of advertising its services to the public and future applicants. This is a trusted site used by my company to expand our search for candidates. Once applicants have applied Zip makes it easy to sort, send messages and schedule interviews right from their platform. Cons The main con of using ZipRecruiter is just that it is still not as popular as Indeed. At this time, I don't feel that ZipRecruiter could be your only source of advertisement. And having my resume up on yet another job board is probably good for my job search. Pros I like that ZipRecruiter sends me emails every day with potential leads. Cons At least half of those leads are entry-level or pay 2/3 to 1/5 less than my previous position. That being said, I would reconsider using ZipRecruiter for my needs in a company that would be more appropriate for the candidates available within the system. Pros There wasn't much I found acceptable in this software for my previous position as an operations manager for a tree trimming service. Cons For our particular field, we didn't find candidates that would meet our needs. Additionally, it seemed like the company continuously sent solicitations, electronic or phone, to upgrade. We weren't going to upgrade since we weren't finding success at the lower subscription. We had better results from cheaper solutions. Pros Not a thing. I could not find a single thing worth recommending. Cons The quality of candidates is not good. This is the second time we used it and did not generate one single qualified candidate. Their method of pushing it out everywhere doesn't really help - you end up getting a lot of applications that are not qualified. As far as using it for an ATS system - forget it. No where close to an ATS system. Clunky and not very useful. Thumbs up or thumbs down? Seriously? That sounds so unprofessional. Cons Slight opportunity to improve on attracting higher quality candidates. I would also like to see improvement in the navigation especially between sending emails and getting back to previous pages. Pros This is by far the easiest job seeking platform I’ve used. Jobs are clearly and neatly laid out. I can see the job titles quickly to ensure a match, job descriptions are clear and doesn’t make me feel as though I’m getting scammed. The software sends me jobs that I would actually be interested in and that match my education. One tap apply is incredible, you just have to upload your resume once. Pros I love how easy it is, and how many responses I get. It's easy to submit my info and I do get responses. Cons I do sales and programming, but the matches I get include nuclear physicist. Pros I love the one-click application feature! Once you upload your resume and information, there is a one-click feature that is literally only one-click; not click once, confirm details, add extras, etc. Also, its great that they screen jobs based on your qualifications or experience. This means that they send you opportunities as they come in, you do not have to seek them out or search for them. Cons Make sure your resume template is recognized. I had a non-standard word document resume template (a fancy layout), and did not realize that after uploading, the template layout was not recognized and the resume being sent to potential employers blanked out all my contact information! I've upped activity in a less tired sourcing avenue, but unfortunately I have also not seen hires come to fruition by utilizing this tool. It's hit or miss. I'd say it's of value for more challenging hiring markets, but isn't adding much value where other avenues for sourcing have not yet been exhausted! Pros The thing I like about ZipRecruiter is that once you've created your initial job posting, you can sit back and allow candidates to come to you if you'd like. It's a pretty simply mining tool as well - you're able to search through a database of resumes that have phrases or experience similar to what you are looking for. It's a nice avenue to be able to utilize outside of your standard sourcing tools. It's also awesome that you can put questions out there to which candidates have to answer yes/no for qualifications to help vet the process! Cons The thing I enjoy least is that while candidates can be mined easily through passive searching OR active applications, the quality of these candidates is generally very average. This can be said for a lot of applications out there through any software/avenue, but it would be nice to have a certain standard upheld. The questions you can ask with a candidate application should be able to be used as knockouts to ensure less sifting through resumes that aren't of the quality you are looking for. February 21, 2019 5.0 I can quickly and easily publish my job listings on all the major job boards. Pros ZipRecruiter has you fill out lots of screening questions as an employer. All the preliminary questions that you can create are extremely effective at filtering out unqualified candidates. This saves me so much time every month. This tool is amazing for tracking different applicants too. I love that it only takes a few minutes to post a job. I can easily pull all the details of certain applicants into a spreadsheet for further analysis. I like that I can email and text applicants. They send you crazy amounts of opportunities. Cons My issue with Zip recruiter is that given my information, I would still receive jobs opportunities that were in no relation to what I wanted. I graduated with a marketing degree and was seeking a job in event marketing. I would receive copious amounts of emails regarding jobs in finance and other avenues I was not looking to persue. I think they should limit the amount of emails, as well as look for \*quality over quantity\*. While landing a job is mostly about the perfect fit personality wise face to face networking will always prevail over a website. Pros What I enjoy most about ziprecruiter is the analytics or data provided to jobs applicants on info such as the odds of your resume being reviewed to where and which companies applicants should apply to and ultimately look for employment. Cons What I like least about ziprecruiter is that I've personally never gained employment from a job I applied to on the site. I've had several video interviews plus the site allows me to notify recruiters that I'm actively searching but as of today I have not landed a job on ziprecruiter despite the odds working in my favor.
