Unfortunately, I can't say that I've ever received a response or interview request from any postings that I have pursued on the platform. Pros What I like most about the software is the sheer abundance of options. If you are a job-seeker, this software lists so many job opportunities and the ability to refine your search so you don't waste a lot of time reviewing postings that aren't relevant for you. Plus, I enjoy the 1-click option to apply to job postings. Cons What I like least about this software is I find that many job postings are outdated or already filled. It seems that old postings from employers somehow get filtered into ZipRecruiter's system from outdated information. Teacher Education Management Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Job Hunting, Simplified" April 25, 2020 3.0 I have used ZipRecruiter for many years. What keeps me coming back to it is the ease of use. Who wouldn’t want to get a job interview from just one click?! However, if I’m honest, it seems like a bit of a waste. I’ve had more success from indeed and other job search websites that required a little more of me. Pros ZipRecruiter makes it feel like job hunting is super easy. For most jobs, you can literally apply with one click. They have an algorithm that tracks the type of jobs you click, so those are the ones they send you. Another thing they do is alert you when your application is viewed, and how qualified you are for a role. It really is fool proof. Cons The algorithm that determines which jobs are sent to you misses the mark, a lot. I suppose the solution is more clicking on jobs that suit you, but it’s annoying. If you click experimentally to see qualifications or something else that catches your eye, it alters what you see in your routine alerts. A great way to browse and post your resume on all these jobs at one time. Pros it really helps do a great resume search tool and you can get all the jobs your looking for or posting for in one lump sum. I absolutely love it. REally great for kids in highschool and going to college. Im a at home mom right now and I love browsing for jobs or part time cash making opportunities. Pros I liked the ease of use, the amount of options I was given for any type of job I was looking for, and the tips and help with job searches. Cons I disliked the amount of times I was being sent emails and texts about jobs. I started using the app on mobile to set up the account and I became quickly overwhelmed with the amount of times I was being emailed and texted about jobs that I seemed like a good fit for based on my past jobs. I had to change my settings to receive fewer notifications. Pros If you are actively looking or more passively looking it's great to get updates from ZipRecruiter to keep a pulse on available opportunities. Cons Their algorithm does seem to get thrown off of what you need pretty easily. For example, if you happen to see a job that isn't great for you but makes you think of someone else and so you click, this can influence future opportunities you are shown. Technical recruiting requires the highest attention to detail in overall qualifications, and ZipRecruiter delivers both! Pros Simplified user experience and any time there is an administration requirement needed, the help-desk is always extremely fast! Cons All job boards experience unqualified applicants, however ZipRecruiter has the least amount of unqualified applicants in my opinion. October 3, 2017 2.0 Pros UI was very easy to use, got plenty of responses to jobs I posted, some decent candidates. Short trial period meant I wasn't able to fulfill any roles, not their fault per se. When I contacted them about my account being charged, they promptly refunded my money. Cons Horrible, horrible transparency. I signed up for the free trial and couldn't even figure out how long their free trial period was until after I talked to their agent. Turns out it's only 4 days. That's just short enough to be totally useless. Worse part is they weren't very clear about when my account would be charged. Turns out, they charge you on the 4th day of the trial, so if you call on the 4th day to cancel, your account would have rolled over to paid account. Their customer service was nice enough to refund me though, just the lack of transparency left a sour taste. Although I am having difficulty finding a job at present, I am able to apply to great many good and relevant jobs. Pros The software gets a general idea of what you want and where. It is specific enough to find what you really want while ambiguous enough to include alternatives. The 1 Click Apply is amazing. It can take up to an hour to apply for a single job. Zip Recruiter has your resume and info and you can apply to 30+ jobs in the same amount of time one would apply to a job the traditional way Cons Honestly, I have no complaints. Anything it is lacking in is too unimportant to list and other websites have other features to compliment Zip Recruiter, but ZR is the first place I go every morning to look for a job. It just has more to offer. I have seen more hiring in other apps and unfortunately it's not one that I could count on. Pros Well I like the set up and ease of filling in any forms. The profiles they make look legit and they also help make printable resumes. Definitely a tool I will want to use when job searching in the future. Pros ZipRecruiter is a great way to search for jobs in your area you can 1-Click apply for. Line up several interviews to land the perfect job for you. Since they send you job opportunities by email you don't have to log into the platform to search. They list several categories of job listings so you can find what's suitable for you. I have recently landed a few interviews using this platform which was really simple, their i-Click apply came in handy. Cons There is not much con except you need to find something that is suitable for you that is as local as you want it to be. Read job descriptions and requirements carefully as you would with any search engine to see if you can perform the duties as necessary and you possess the necessary requirements. Remember, not all jobs are created equal! You must be digilent about learning about the different job opportunities, training and scheduling more than one interviews at a time. Also prepare for job notifications to flood your inbox and text messages.
