### "Weighing my Options "

Pros

Patients’ portal page; appointment calendar; ability to create documents; learning videos, and patients’ messaging feature.

Cons

1) Billing/ledger features - access and data entry process still need tweaking. 2) No access option for non clinical office manager and records department staff. This is an issue when you have in-house staff members tasked with printing completed administrative documents such as privacy notice, release, and consent for services and are also tasked with verifying the accurate completion of these administrative forms and cannot tend to these assigned duties due to no access policy; Simple Practice only gives form access to clinicians.

### "Charged me - then said I was "risk", terminated no refund!"

So I signed up for this software a month ago and had fun trying it out. Everything checked out. When the trial ran out, I purchased a month for 55$ and filed an insurance claim on 2 appointment dates for a patient. Later that day, my son added his Chime account to the Online Billing setting of our control panel, and it said we were verified. The next day, we received an e-mail saying our account was "under review", and today we got notified that our account was being terminated with no refund. These people didn't even give an explanation.

Pros

Simple layout and easy to use design.

Cons

Terminated me for no reason, and refused to give a refund.

I liked it, wasn't horrible wasn't amazing but it was helpful for charting and appointments and the interface was good to use

Pros

user interface was good and making appointments was easy i liked how i was able to send notifications to my clients

Cons

pretty expensive for smaller practices and had some bugs occasionally that were annoying but eventually were fixed

Pros

The ability to have HIPAA complaint all in one site such as, saving contact patient information, insurance, billing notes, etc.

Cons

Too many clicks at times that could be changed by having a pre saved note to modify by current session. Cost.

It was a really great starting HR when I was billing insurance and didn’t have many other needs beyond that and charting. Now I need something a little more robust so I did make a switch.

Pros

It truly was simple to use, especially the insurance billing integration

Cons

It didn’t have a lot of additional built-in features that other EHR’s have such as integrated faxing.

It was okay. I was able to teach myself mostly how to use Simple Practice without any additional help. However, some things were very confusing and the fact that you cannot call Customer Service was awful.

Pros

The ease and quality use of the product. It was super simple to use.

Cons

Trying to manage paying just a regular payment was hard. It has to be attached to a created invoice and was sort of annoying.

I have gotten very familiar with the company over the years and have really enjoyed the simplicity and effectiveness of the simple practice platform. I have recently also started using it from the client side, and like being able to know how everything is organized, and what to expect.

Pros

I like how easy it is to be able to access the information that I need quickly, and that it is user friendly to the point of me being able to quickly schedule and add notes to my client's charts. The Wiley notes save my life, and make me sound a lot smarter.

Cons

I like some of the templates that I have used at other companies, and they aren't universal to be able to use in other areas.

### "Simple Practice lives up to its name!"

They have everything that I needed to get my therapy practice up and running, and feel confident about growing my practice from there.

Pros

I like that Simple Practice has all of the features that any mental health practice would need, and it can be as simple or detailed as the user likes.

Cons

Maybe the only downside would be that if I do want to get more detailed with income charts or expense reports, things like that, maybe there might be a small learning curve, but definitely a doable one.

SimplePractice is nice clean tool for my solo therapy biz, sets my sessions and notes all lined neat.

Pros

Booking is drag‑drop style, intake forms shoot to client auto, and billing links to reminders so I forget less.

Cons

Only thing is, video call gets choppy some days and support replies not always fast, plus reports don’t break down data deep unless I export stuff outside.

Simple Practice is definitely one of the better mental health platforms I have used - it integrates a lot of different features in user friendly ways, makes documentation quick and easy, and it allows you to easily communicate with clients for services and necessary paperwork. However, I wish it would gather more analytics on clients, client insurances, assessments, and billing.

Pros

Simple Practice allows you to complete documentation very quickly and easily by toggling client information from prior notes and documentation in real time.

Cons

I would like to see more client data analytics available for providers.

Pros

Simple Practice is straightforward and user-friendly. Its setup is convenient, reducing unnecessary stress and simplifying error correction. Therapists may find it particularly beneficial, especially if they provide super billing or accept private payments.

Cons

Accidentally deleting items can be problematic, especially when in a rush or with patients waiting, as retrieval can be difficult. The calendar system would benefit from improved templates to reduce the need for manual input, which currently creates excessive administrative time. The ability to apply changes all at once, rather than individually, would also be advantageous.

What I liked most about Simple Practice is the support team. They answered any questions and the setup process. It was pretty simple.

Cons

What I like least about Simple Practice Is the clearing house. In February we had a major breach it was hard to see payments and ERA.

Pros

As a patient, I think this software is great. It is user friendly and has nice features! You can access invoices, change/add payment methods, message providers, and receive reminders about appointments!

Cons

The only thing I could think of is having to verify my email each time I log in, it can be a pain, but I understand for security purposes!

SP was familiar enough to TYH that it was fairly easy to get started using it. Where I ended up moving to another platform was when there was a shift in how data was going to be collected and used, and I needed a platform that was less visually distracting.

Pros

SP was straightforward to use and had a lot of features that would be helpful for the solo practitioner as well as someone who was supervising pre-licensed folks.

Cons

The interface is a little too busy and for some may be a bit overwhelming or distracting.
