Love that patient portal and HIPPA compliant communication I can have with patients. It is great!

Pros

I was able to just getting going with the software and take care of patients. It was clearly created by someone who understands mental health and is easy to use.

Cons

Not available to multiple providers and therapists. I am hoping this changes in the future.

So far, I am very pleased.

Pros

I chose this software because of the app, the fact it was user friendly. The client portal was also user friendly. I liked the Wiley Treatment planner feature.

Cons

I wish that there was an app for my clients. So message notifications would go directly to their phone. I also wish the Wiley treatment planners had more options and you could select multiple disorders

This software makes the administration of my practice easy and fast. It takes the burden of running the practice and lightens it up so that you can actually focus on helping people rather than managing paperwork.

Pros

Easy to use and set up. Super easy to get all my documents out to the clients. Love the integrated video platform which is even more stable than Zoom. It makes running my practice super smooth.

Cons

I'd like more integrations for electronic payment that just Stripe. I want to use my Square account but am unable to at this time.

The program is easy to set up, fairly intuitive, and covers most of my needs.

Pros

It is very user-friendly, intuitive, and has many convenient features. I like the one-stop shop for intake paperwork, notes, billing, insurance, etc.

Cons

There is no phone number for customer support. The problem solving tree can be helpful, but when all else fails, it's important to speak with a person. The only way this happens is to email them, and they will email back with time slots for you to call in and chat remotely. This process can take a few days which is frustrating when many problems can be managed with a quick phone call.

So far so good. Looking forward to the tools working for me and not being bogged down woh a complicated setup.

Pros

I like that this is a place to keep my scheduling and all clinical docs. It’s great that it’s encrypted and Hippa compliant.

Cons

The look and how overwhelming all the tabs are. There could be a much simpler option for those that don’t use insurance and want more customization.

My life got much easier and organized after I started using simple practice. I know they have free training options but honestly, everything felt so easy and intuitive I didn't feel I needed it. I had some questions and​ was able to get them aswered perfectly within the same hour so I am particularly happy with technical suppert. I switched from another platform. The transition was easy and my clients report they like using​ simple practice better.

I wish it was a more affordable I would like the option to make group session appointments

I just started using Simple Practice and so far so good! It's been pretty easy and whatever I can't figure out, the Help button has directed me to great articles. I recommend to new private practice owners!

Cons

The time it took to create templates, but it's a one time thing, so I can deal with that!

Security, completeness, reassurance, confidence, extraordinary sense of organization

Pros

The main appeal for me was the security and confidence this product offers - around communicating with clients and making sure all the "boxes" are checked with regard to forms, notes and payments. I like how organized I feel now - with all that information in one place, rather than in 3 or 4 places. This software has made my practice more thorough and solid - I don't feel afraid anymore that I'm missing something vital. And as Clinical Director of a group practice, I'm able to track my employees' appointments and client interactions with much more accuracy, which equals more reassurance for me!

Pros

I really enjoy the user-friendly interface-- it took some getting used to, however once you become familiar it makes so much sense and is easy to work with! It has been so nice to make all records paperless, from intake and secure messaging to notes and invoices.

Cons

The mobile app could use some more fine-tuning, it would be nice to be able to access/view documents stored rather than only being able to see that they have been completed by the client. However, the app does cover the basics of allowing you to schedule and add notes, so it's really only a minor concern.

### "Near perfect software"

the help has been amazing. I will learn this. It will take me time. I am very old school pen and paper and file.

Pros

I was immediately impressed with the amount of details I can put into the software. I am looking to learn and grow out of the old school pen and paper and into the new, faster, easier way of communicating with my clients. I like the many options, such as files for the clients, so that I can have all their info in my laptop instead of carrying around the box (which is insecure).

Cons

I like lease that I have to now put in all that info, LOL, but I am looking to hire a friend or my daughter to help, or just make an appointment to do so myself once a day at a certain time to get them all in. Nothing about the software itself was a dislike at this point. OH< one thing; I would like to see the software be able to create a report from key words, such as "massage clients, or coaching clients". I found out that I can do this sort of by creating a number for the service, but I have clients with more than one service.

Pros

SimplePractice reduces your workload with its fetures, ease of use, easy accessibility and simple interface and eliminates the complexity you experienced before. Awesome software

Cons

This might be little bit cheaper. That pricing could be felt overpaying to some little businesses.

My overall experience has been stress free and I have found ways around the least attractive features of Simple Practice.

Pros

Everything is in one place organized, which makes for a stress free process. I also like the patient portal. Patients can stay connected during their therapeutic process.

Cons

All forms are not located under the +Create tab under the client. Some documents have to be completed externally and uploaded or by the patient in the portal. Some patient's will require support completing these forms in session and it should be easy to get to.

Simple practice has helped streamline my paperwork. Easy to use program with great customer support and ongoing improvements.

Pros

I love the customizable notes and ability to send paperless intakes. The customer support team is great. They are truly listening to what customers want and making changes. Response time is immediate and they will walk you through specific questions.

Cons

There are some features such as an iPad app, more options in the iPhone app, changes in formatting, etc. that would be helpful. They are definitely making steps to change to what customers are asking for, but change does seem to happen a little on the slow side.

I recently started using SimplePractice for my private practice clients. My main need was an app to help me keep track of client payments, billing and finances as I am a sole proprietor and somewhat organizationally challenged, specifically in this area. So far I am finding it helpful. I love the iPhone app as it is most convenient for entering payments as I receive them. Wish they had an app for iPad but seems this is in development. The calendar synch from iPhone to app is not great and it does not pick up my appointments in each clients accounts. I need to enter data specifically on the simplePractice app so it takes some getting used to. I would love for the calendar to be set-up more clearly, similar to the apple calendar, but possibly that is just a matter of getting comfortable with something different. I also have an issue with some clients having more than one funding source and there is no place to specify and separate that in their record. Otherwise, seems great and I am looking forward to using it more often. Seems worth the monthly fee.

Im going completely paperless. I live that it keeps me organized and everything in within one software.

Pros

The structure of the webpage. It is easy to navagate and I love the calendar and scheduling . I also like that with a click I make the billing .

Cons

I would like that the app would have all the features that I used in the software . For example I really will appreciate if the format I created for my progress notes is available and accessible through my phone.

Easy to use for scheduling, notes, and billing.

Pros

I love the calendar and ease of billing. I also love the way noted are linked to sessions, but there is a way to create notes without sessions. The product feature is also very helpful.

Cons

I wish there was a sliding scale option and a membership option as I have clients who pay monthly for certain services. I also wish the insurance billing was optional as I do not bill insurance.

Pros: SimplePractice is a basic software program that gives me what I need, and doesn't charge me for bells and whistles I don't need. I received numerous emails offering tutorials on how to use the software. I got the hang of it quickly, and within a week of using it I was quite comfortable with it. Having this software is a time saver for billing. It is forcing me to keep better client notes. I like how it offers a separate area to write private notes in addition to my therapeutic clinical notes. Cons: I wish there were a way for me to tie SimplePractice to my website for client intake forms. It's difficult to delete a client, and no way to merge client information. For instance if I'm seeing a couple, and then have individual appointments with the wife, I can't clone the information to create a separate file for her. I wish SimplePractice would give me confirmation that a client received a reminder, and his/her response. I also wish I received a confirmation code with Stripe when my billing transactions are processed. Overall: It's a great program that has saved me lots of time. SimplePractice has helped me get my files well organized, with thorough documentation for my clients' files. Best of all, it is reasonably priced, and well suited for my needs as a private practitioner.

Pros

I like that everything is in one place. I have my scheduling, notes, consents/paperwork, assessments and billing on one platform. In addition I love that I can super easily create my own note taking forms and assessments. That's been super helpful.

Cons

I don't feel like it is the most intuitive software. I will find something by clicking around and have no idea how to find it again. Once you get the hang of it, it's amazing software, but it does have a learning curve.

Pros

The program not only allows for management of billing and payment, and other monetary information; the program also allows for developing other forms like intake, progress monitoring, and other forms utilize during practice.

Cons

Some of the features with the program are at times difficult to master, being a new user with the program affect the feasibility.

Pros

Everything is very intuitive. It is easy to set everything up. I liked being able to upload my own forms/documents if I wanted to. It makes managing employees so simple because you can monitor their progress notes and Tx plans. Billing is as simple as can be. I have been a paper based practice for over a decade so this was a big leap for me, but SimplePractice truly makes managing a practice simple.

Cons

Although I love that I can upload my own forms, it does take quite a bit of time. The credit card processing fees with Stripe are on the high end.

It is easy to customize and set up your own paperwork. Client scheduling, reminders, and payment processing are all very simple and straightforward.

Cons

The main issue I have is there is no functionality to create family files.
