I like several features: the daily agenda and the incorporation of video counseling.

Cons

I am still learning and using the software. I have only had it for only one week. I did not get a chance to fully use it during my trial period but was so impressed with what I did use, I signed up.

I searched for years for a practice management system that had all of the basics for a small practice but wasn't overly complicated. In short, I needed one basic foundation system to manage my patients, payments, notes, treatment planning, and appointments. I was using three systems to do individual functions with no integration of information. Finally, I found SimplePractice. It is intuitive, easy to use, and has the most basic functions needed for a small practice. The integration with Stripe payment system was added right after I started using SimplePractice and it significantly improved my cash flow and ease of patient payments. I wish I found SimplePractice sooner and would highly recommend it.

The software is sleak. Clean. EASY to navigate. Very intuitive. Video explanation HELP file on nearly every page. Client appointment reminders, client portal! This program goes above and beyond for a very reasonable monthly price and an even better annual price. Ever want to close your practice? All your data can be downloaded in various forms for storage. I love the feature that allows both a PROGRESS NOTE and a separate psychotherapy note. All HIPAA compliant. In fairness my only request would be for LIVE phone support. They only offer email support which creates delays. But overall, its a great program I purchased, use and love.

So far so good, I will have more to say once I have had more of a chance to use the software.

Pros

The reminders are helpful. The financial and other business forms that are available and easy to edit. The online portal. The ability to note if the client is a minor.

Cons

Hard to navigate to the financial forms, etc. There should be a separate tab for this or it should be clearly marked. The reminders should include notes after a session, when to update a treatment plan, ect. There should be examples of how to use all the different scales, treatment plans, notes.

I have been using Simple Practice for almost 2 months now in a solo psychotherapy practice setting. I am coming from a larger group practice where there was a staff to schedule, bill, etc. and now it is just me as a therapist. With Simple Practice, I have found these administrative tasks to be very easy and manageable--to the point where I wouldn't even need an office manager! This keeps me organized on all levels, from scheduling, to storing client forms and information, to billing (both private pay and insurance clients). My clients seem very happy with the client portal, and I've found this also makes my life easier too.

Simple Practice has given me a deeper sense of ease and organization around my private practice. I love the record keeping of payments, and how easy doing credit card payments with Stripe has been. The test appointment reminders also help reduce no shows and cancelations. The calendar is clear and I appreciate how easily it synced with my iCal calendar. reminders abtou missed progress notes are also great...keeps me on track. I made one request to customer service about editing one of the forms. I got a quick response that it would be researched. Jury still out on whether my request is answered.

The layout is very intuitive. I also like seeing the clients info in the right hand side instead of having to click on numerous tabes.

Cons

The lack of color options for the calendar. I would like to differentiate between intakes and follow up appointments.

I like the integrated platform for appointments, records, and claims. Makes it very easy to operate a small practice.

Pros

Very easy to set up and use. Easy to set availability and approve appointments. I love how the documents can be sent to clients when approving their first appointment.

Cons

The app does not have function to write progress notes. I can’t pull up initial questionnaire on the app.

Easy and quick billing, organized and safe client info, and format of print outs is easy to read.

Pros

The professional and simplistic look of the program. The software guides you through inputting data which makes it easier to use overall.

Cons

There wasn't anything that I didn't like, it is just a different setup than my last program so I had to figure out where everything was but the software takes you through the process so it's easy to catch on.

Have used this system for a month and really appreciate how easy it is to complete, store and track client records now. The interface was fairly easy to learn. I appreciate the ability to customize and change default settings for diagnosis, etc. My only complaint is that the mobile app has some bugs and missing features (i.e., incomplete syncing of data, no access to session notes, etc). However, support services have been very responsive to my questions and feedback.

I will start by stating that I know just enough about tech products to be dangerous. Simple Practice has been incredibly easy to use so far with an intuitive kind of navigation for those with little tech experience. To this point I have used the basic functions and will incorporate some of the more advanced client portal functions soon. I like that I can slowly incorporate the program into my business as I am growing and don't have to feel overwhelmed with learning the entire program at once before beginning to use it. I also like the tutorial videos that give step by step instructions as they are short, easy to follow, and broken into very specific functions within the program. Overall I am very pleased with the quality and cost of this program, and will refer other practitioners.

We selected to try out simple practice because of it's claim to be easy to learn and easy to use and it has proved to be just that! Just enter in the client info, schedule sessions in the calendar, submit payments, and next thing you know a bill has been created for you. One best things about simple practice is that although I come across things I would change about the program they are always accepting of critiques and feedback and constantly improving based on that. The other thing I like the most is that times that I have had a question about how a certain feature operated or anything I received a very quick response with a clear answer. Customer service is a complaint for most businesses and programs, but not Simple Practice! Overall, I would suggest this program to someone else.

It's less for me to think about and manage on my own. There's enough on my plate that that is a huge benefit!

Pros

I love how easy writing notes is in Simple Practice, and enjoy how integrated it is. I'm still learning and exploring all the features, but I'm excited at how much functionality there is! It seems like therapists really did contribute to the creation of the software: it's very mindful of our needs.

Cons

I would like it if different payment platforms (PayPal, etc.) could be connected to my account. Also, it would be really nice if there was a discount for us pre-licensed folks who are really just getting started and could use the break. :)

I liked how this was tailored to medical practices- my major drawback was I didn’t see how it would save me enough time to justify increased costs for accounting and billing. If it saves you time, it would be totally worth the cost.

Pros

I liked that this software is set up basically just for medical practices- unlike a lot of other accounting softwares. It’s clearly built specifically for medicine which is great.

Cons

I still found it to be slightly awkward to use- though that probably would have improved had I given it more time to practice. I didn’t love that I had to pay additional fees for claims submitted, as it ended up being more expensive than my current system- which was my main deterrent.

\-I am able to do entirely paperless client files -There is integration between different components of the software -No up-charge on appointment reminders for clients

Cons

\-The UI could be improved, but also is nicer than other programs I have seen. -I would like a more comprehensive demographic questionnaire (I created a supplementary questionnaire because I could not edit the one in the program) -When assessing gender identity, saying MTF and FTM is outdated when talking about transgender individuals

So far so gkkd,. I haven't used it with a client yet so time will tell. I asked a question of customer service once and I got an answer within minutes...on a weekend....at night when customer service isn't listed as being available, so that's good.

Pros

So far this seems pretty easy to use. I need to do more of the tutorials to understand everything though. It has a lot of features I'd need to pay more for elsewhere, or purchase from separate entities.

Cons

Some of it is confusing, but I think that's largely my problem since this is my first private practice, so I don't necessarily know how all the parts work.
