Pros

I need help organizing paperwork and making sure all docs are complete. Simple Practice does this for me. I love that I have no messy piles of paper to file!!!

Cons

It takes a minute to get each client in the system.

I'm new to the system, but so far I'm pleased. It works a little more intuitively than other systems I have checked into, and the new client portal sold me on upgrading after my free trial. I wish there is a way for me to interact with the client portal has a client, so I could experience what my clients are experiencing when they register and complete her paperwork, but other than that I'm liking it. I'm really looking forward to being able to bill insurance through the site. Lastly, I'd like to be able to add the billing info for my EAP clients more easily.

Overall, I have had a great experience. The customer service has been excellent! It will definitely meets my needs and streamlines my process.

Pros

I really enjoy the ability to have a system that functions with Telehealth and in-person traditional therapy. I also love that they have documents and forms already loaded so it gives you a great starting point. There's also a lot that you can make your own.

Cons

I would like to be able to modify the client sign in page further to meet my own style. I also wish that setting up my available appointment was a little more straightforward and functional.

I've been searching and searching for what seems like forever for a practice management system that enables HIPAA compliance and has everything I need as a private practice clinician who doesn't deal with insurance. SimplePractice is the best I've seen. It has a clean, user-friendly interface; a client portal with secure messaging; notes, assessments, and treatment plans; appointment reminders; decent support staff; low monthly payments; and more. I'm pleased so far. However, I wish it had an integrated appointment system for new clients and an admin login for administrative staff. SimplePractice has told me that these features are in the works. Here's hoping that they'll roll them out soon, so I can finally use one program for all of my practice management needs!

Pros

Good thing is that you can send forms directly to the clients. Amazing thing about SimplePractice is that I can see my schedule and everyone else on my team when I am on the dashboard.

Cons

If reporting was simple then it would be helpful. The video platform is lacking some features. It is very costly. Customer service is poor as issues does not get resolved easily. There should be wide range of templates.

I’m saving time and I am much more organized now.

Pros

I have been stuck in the Stone Age for too long with my paper charting. I thought it would be too difficult and time consuming to switch over to an electronic health record but Simple Practice has proved me wrong. So happy I finally made the leap and I wish I would have done it sooner.

Cons

The credit card processing fee was a little challenging to figure out at first.

### "Simple and All Encompassing"

Pros

Simple Practice is a one-stop shop. It allows me to manage my schedule, write progress notes, and manage invoices and billing. It's simple to use and personalize to my own company needs.

Cons

I don't like the fee structure, which limits me from using features at the basic plan. Especially for someone who recently started my own private practice. It would be nice if you offered free use of the advanced features for the first 6 months, while one builds their practice. I would then be encouraged to continue using those advanced services and upgrade my plan.

This is a really great EHR/EMR system for therapists to use. It is easy to navigate and to do what you need to do - write notes! There is an option to create your own intake form to send to clients. I have not played with the client portal much yet, but plan to look into it. My guess is that it is easy to use, too! I do wish that there was greater flexibility with the client information storage and that there was an option for a couple or family file to be created. Currently, it seems that the only option is to have one identified patient/client. I know this can be necessary for billing procedures. However, when you are an out-of-network provider and have self-pay clientele, it would be nice to be able to store a couple file in this type of system.

I have been in private practice on the side of a full-time job as a psychologist for about a year. I was keeping paper records, which was easier to track at 1-2 appointments per week. I began "shopping" for EHRs with the growth I experienced at the start of 2016, and after developing a plan to go into pp full time by June 2016, I was ready to do the Simple Practice free trial. This program is So. User. Friendly. It is intuitive to use, has a clean look, and the customer service has been unexpectedly outstanding. Responses within a day, helpful feedback, and patience with my indecision about costs. After the trial, I couldn't go back to my paper records, and I think SP will offer the tools and tracking I need to continue to grow and establish my practice.

I have been using SimplePractice for a couple of months now, and I have very few complaints. The interface is simple and easy to navigate - I really enjoy logging in daily to see my calendar, and then navigating into client charts and back to the calendar. I have found it really easy to add new client information, chart my notes, and keep track of billing. I was able to learn how to navigate the system quickly, as it is very user-friendly and intuitive. I know that SimplePractice is dedicated to adding more features - and I look forward to what is to come. For example, I'm looking forward to a few smaller features, including being able to add non-client appt.'s to the calendar, saving note templates, and the client portal which should be released fairly soon.

I can easily schedule appointments and check ins through this app as well as exchange sensitive information with my provider through this app. Such as billing statements and other info.

Cons

It is through an app so if your not comfortable sharing any personal info on the internet, don’t.

Easy to use, simple and clear visual appeal. The library of forms is very useful and helpful. I like the colors and layout of screens and LOVE the daily agenda sent to my email.

Cons

I'd like to see more intake forms to choose from (for example, for children and adolescents) as well as sample or easy to edit informed consent forms and explanations of counseling procedures and services for clients.

Simple Practice offers a streamlined way to manage clients, documentation, and billing. I've tried a few others out there and Simple Practice is by far the most user friendly as well as affordable. Pros - Easy to set up, nice visual display of information, important information is accessible with only a click or two Cons - the billing diagnostic piece is a little tricky, but this could be because I haven't taken the appropriate amount of time to learn about it. I haven't used the customer service yet, so I can't comment on that, but the fact that I haven't had to call customer service yet for anything is worth 5 stars. Overall I love this product and plan to continue using as my main software for documentation, client records and billing.

Simple Practice has actually enabled me to continue in a very new private practice without necessitating hiring administrative staff. The amount of work that is cut out through the use of this program is literally replacing the need for paying a staff member. It permits me to spend more time on my practice and less time in frustration over having to do administrative duties. It also simplified my multiple different referral sources by placing all clients in one location. It may be just that I am new to the program, but my current furstrations are that I am unable to set up individual codes according to my needs for billing. I wish I could type in a referral source (EAP, etc) and the billing code automatically go in after I set it up the first time.

I've been using the platform for a month & I've been happy with it. I'm still getting up to speed with all of the functionality, but so far it has been intuitive and easy. The Android app needs development, as some features are unavailable or unintuitive, but the mobile web functions work well, so that's not a huge problem. One possible glitch is an inability to use the same phone number and email address for multiple clients. For example, multiple child clients with the same parent as their main contact. Other than that I've been very satisfied.

I'm really happy with Simple Practice overall. It seems like writing notes, keeping track of client info is so much faster and less daunting than usual. I had been trying to keep my files on a secure cloud website but it still meant I had to open documents on my computer and be on top of encrypting or deleting. This way, I don't have any sensitive info on my actual lap top so if it gets stolen, my client's info is safe and I don't lose any of it. Anytime I have a question, someone gets back to me really quickly and puts a lot of effort into answering--even if I asked a silly question I realize I could have easily found an answer to elsewhere on the site. I have yet to use Simple Practice for billing related purposes so I can't speak to that.
