My overall experience with SimplePractice has been positive. I am grateful a tool like this is available for individuals like me operating a private practice. I found it user friendly, affordable and up to date with standards of practice.

Pros

The software is user friendly and has multiple templates to aid you in getting started.

Cons

I struggled to find a way to add in a termination summary. I would like to be able to pull one up just like the progress note. I used the help section, but the best option I could find was to add it as an attachment. I could have been missing something.

### "Appointment Scheduling Made Easy"

Pros

I enjoy using SimplePractice to schedule appointments with my provider. It's easy to view available appointments, request a new appointment, or reschedule. I get helpful reminders one day and then again one hour ahead of the appointment.

Cons

I am constantly needing to request a new link to access my portal. I still haven't figured out how to enter Client Portal without taking this extra step from an old email.

Billing with SimplePractice has been drastically improved. Having one place where I can bill, write my notes, and send out reminders has been invaluable. It makes the entire process a lot easier for both myself and my clients.

Pros

I like the ease and functionality of the software most. SimplePractice is incredibly user friendly. I haven't found the need to utilize the customer support yet due to the way the site is built.

Cons

I had difficultly accessing the area where I was able to design my own note templates, but after some searching, I was able to find it.

This software is so clean and smooth and easy to use. It doesn't beef bulky although it has all the features I need.

Cons

That to create a SOAP note, the appointment has to be in the calendar (I use a different calendar software).

Pros

This software helped me in my transition to a private practice. I have especially enjoyed the option of uploading all documents and assessments into the client portal, and having them completed upon my first meeting with a client. Customer Service has been great with the product, and my onboarding session helped me understand all that was available to me by choosing Simple Practice.

Cons

I'd love to be able to view my calendar a little differently, so that it's not a fixed week at a time (current day to 7 days from now).

As the title says, SimplePractice (SP) is almost everything I need it to be. My clients love how they can access my calendar and fill out their paperwork online. They've told me that the SP client portal is much better than my previous EMHR system. It helps me track client payments, write my notes efficiently, and streamline scheduling. There are a few missing functionalities that I would like such as the ability to administer short psychological tests like the BDI and increased support for couples clients, but SP is constantly adding features. Their support team is super responsive and helpful. All in all, I am pleased with the product, and it has helped me feel less stressed about my day to day administrative tasks.

SP has been a wonderful way to keep all of my files electro recall and secure. It has also taken the hassle out of billing with Stripes payment options. Still needs a few small things to be truly excellent but well worth the cost and has been a great addition to my new practice. Thank you.

Pros

Easy to do notes and billing options. Client portal is a great help.

Cons

The calendar feature and the mobile app. I only work part time and find it difficult to schedule with the app. No month view either so I have to jump back and forth between my calendar the website and the app to see thinks like their next apts.

SimplePractice has definitely enhanced the way I manage my practice.

Pros

As a part-time private practice art therapist, I find the software very easy to use. I especially like that intake forms can be submitted digitally and the payment can be collected through the software. I also found the tutorial videos to be very helpful.

Cons

The interface did take some time to set-up, but has been easy to use after set-up. I wish the payment option did not take a percentage of the session fee.

Pros

Its an all-in-one billing/scheduling/charting system and easy to use.

Cons

I wish the templates were more user friendly and looked a little different. I also wish there were pelvic floor templates.

Simple Practice makes starting your private practice easy. I was seeking a program where I could safely store notes and other documents online, but Simple Practice is so much more. A few things that I really love about this program are how easy it is to customize your intake questionnaire, that clients can submit forms through the client portal before they ever come in, and how thoughtfully Simple Practice has formulated all of their forms and letters. I wouldn't want to be without this service!

I have been in private practice for 10 years. My billing and bookkeeping system was a bit of legal paper that I carried around with me at the end of each month. With everything in one place and the app - both my assistant and I can communicate what is happening and where the money is. I have so much more freedom to think about other things. Pros

It is like a second brain! I do not have to keep my appointments, payment information, reminder emails and therapy notes all in my head. If I forget to document something or collect a payment it will remind me. It can be very overwhelming starting your own private practice and SimplePractice has made it easier.

Cons

I have only used the free trail so I am still navigating and learning things. However, I liked it enough to subscribe and pay the monthly dues.

Although I am rather slow with techie stuff, learning by doing has been nearly painless with SimplePractice. I have, admittedly, made some mistakes, but there have always been ways to address these. When there are gaps in the Help articles and videos, support has been very responsive and pleasant to fill in. I completely understand that reducing live support will help keep the cost of the service down for us, the users, AND I still very much appreciate that there is a person on the other end who can, and does help, while the Help articles grow in scope and specificity and the system continuously improves. I recommend without reservation this wonderful service to everyone who would like to stay organized.

I recently started my private practice & wanted a secure, cloud-based documentation system to keep client progress notes and treatment plans. I looked around and SimplePractice was by far the most reasonably priced, with all the features that I needed. What's great is I can upload signed consent forms & other documents so that I can have my records be completely electronic. I also appreciate the ability to automatically send email and text appointment reminders to the client. This system gives me everything I need to manage the paperwork of my practice. I appreciate that they continue to add features based on customer feedback, and look forward to the convenience of even more functionality in the future.

I've been looking for a well priced intuitive online software practice for a couple of years. I demoed several but they were very clunky and had bells and whistles that gummed up the process. A colleague told me about simple practice and within the first 7 days of my demo I knew I was on to something. I really love the clear and intuitive interface. The calendar synchs perfectly with my devices and the built in credit card service has allowed me to dump Square once and for all. I do all of my work on Simple Practice with my iPad and I'm so pleased with the software that I've already recommended it to several other colleagues. Also, customer service has been great responding to my initial questions.

As we all know we have to be compliant with federal law by 2017 by using Electronic Health Records for our clients. I have found this transition to be very smooth with the implementation of SimplePractice. My client feedback has been excellent and my new clients love the ease of the intake process. I am learning to love not having paperwork. The custom forms were were able to create for specific practices such as EMDR and various other methods of treatment are useful and valuable. I would recommend this to anyone. I am looking forward to the expansion of the program were consents from two parents can be accommodated but I have been made aware that I can upload those documents to the EHR and I am covered!

I liked the ability to chart without the use of taking up file space, and not having to use so much paper.

Cons

I did not like the software, the scheduling, and had some concerns for privacy and confidentiality with online charting.

pros: clear dashboard, the steps to start are guided, the first few emails before the digest are encouraging and practical, client portal is the most valuable part -- I can integrate other information into one place, instead of answering endless questions cons: billing is too proprietary. I have to combine many forms of billing into your product. I need more transition half way marks, like a feature where you track my current billing system.
