Its incredible intuitive, easy to set up, and offers lots of great features and functions to make running my own practice smoother.

Cons

Lacks a few functions that are essential to private practice - most noteworthy is a way to track business expenses

I was introduced to Simple Practice by a colleague and it has enabled me to streamline my processes, and spend time doing the things that matter the most- helping people.

Pros

Just having everything electronic and confidential. Its easy to use and interacts well with clients.

Cons

It has more functionality than I need but who knows, that may change.

Pros

Client Portal. I love that I can add a client or they can go to my website and add schedule their own appointments.

Cons

Would love a better dashboard. I like having a landing page. The calendar just doesn't look as appealing as others.

Pros

So easy to use, great customer support, clear, easy to follow instructions on getting everything online, it does EVERYTHING for my practice. I'm still learning and excited to integrate all of the amazing functions.

Cons

Nothing yet; even importing my clients was effortless. I am navigating and figuring out what goes where, which takes time...

I started with a different company, but didn't have enough free time to figure it out. SP solved that with their videos, articles, and support. It is quite easy to figure it out and really helped me with HIPPA problems, record keeping, etc. Pros: Great user interface Great custom forms & intake documents Great support Great scheduling /calendar Things I hope will come in the future: A portal for sharing private messages with clients (like a diary) An improved android app (it's BETA right now) A smooth way to set-up kids who have multiple caregivers such as social worker, foster parents, etc. Overall, SP was the best solution on the market and I looked at the all!

Just started using this program a month ago and have been shaving hours off my weekly paperwork tasks. It's easy to navigate - and I like that you can start a "new client" tab without having to enter in diagnosis and overview first - so you can start right away entering in all your clients. You don't need to wait and add only new clients (like some programs) or enter in all the data from current clients. I also like that you can do a 30-day trial without giving your credit card info - no risk that you will be charged unless you like the product. I have not found any cons yet, honestly. I don't use the insurance claims function - I use it for client charting purposes only.

I started using SP several months ago when I returned to work from maternity leave. I was finding that I just didn't have the extra time to either stay at the office or go back in to complete my notes, as I had done before. Within the first week of using the program I felt so much better, as I could complete my work from the comfort of my home on my laptop. This in and of itself made it worth it to me. Now I also very much value the time/effort saving benefits of sending my intake/informed consent paperwork through SP, as well as Super Bills, both of which - again - I was taking extra time to do before. Now it's streamlined and I have peace of mind. I highly recommend this product!

Took me a full month to get the "hang" of the software. How to perform certain tasks was not immediately obvious, and required some trial and error. Since my practice is getting quite large, however, automating it was the only way to go, and I have benefited from the organizing and record keeping that Simple Practice provides.

Pros

I like that it is customized to someone in private practice, including insurance billing, client billing and scheduling. I like that clients can schedule and pay their bill online, and I look forward to using automatic payments too.

Cons

Difficult to navigate scheduling sometimes (for example, I want to add an option to schedule a free discovery call in the client portal, but i'm having a hard time figuring out if clients would also have to add their credit card to do this.)

I tried out several online sites and used another service for 2 years. While I liked their interface, their price (59/month) was too steep for my small practice. I tried out several others--really tried them and they were really convoluted or buggy. SimplePractice really has a clean design and feel to it. The interface works well, no bugs, I can see my income easily--no extra ledgers or pie charts. The other thing I am enjoying is the fact that SimplePractice keeps adding on and improving--its like they actually read the suggestions and try them out...hooray! Love the price point--24 bucks/month when you buy the year--no charts, paper, worries--touch it once, close the loop.

Simple Practice has made it so easy to run a practice on my own without needing to hire an assistant. I can do billing, book appointments, keep track of everything with very little effort on the administrative end. The customer support is also fantastic.

How easy it is to submit claims

The calendar could be a bit larger.

Pros

The ease and format and the link from the program to my phone app. I also like the MSE. Otherwise I am a bit new and will have more positive feedback to offer at a later time.

Cons

I would like more of a comprehensive video tutorial to assist me with coordination of intake forms and how to access other features. Another idea would be to add supportive features such as reminders for clients birthdays.

I've been using SimplePractice now for 5 months and just started using it to bill insurance. I'm amazed at how easy it is to use, especially for someone like me who is not gifted in the technological or billing side of my practice. SimplePractice definitely lives up to its name!

Pros

Billing is a cinch. Personalizing note templates is wonderful. It's easy to find things on here. Uploading documents makes for a paperless practice, which streamlines everything and makes it to where I require no storage space for files, especially since I share my office with another colleague.

Cons

If I have to move to a different screen while in the middle of writing a note, the note will not save unless I manually save it or open the new screen in another window.

Cons

I didn't realize Telehealth wasn't included in the basic package, so I will be missing that portion. I also wish there were a few more templates for documents available.

This is a great system. It provides a comprehensive and understandable way of keeping notes, a schedule and billing. I can focus more on my therapy work and worry less about the business aspect. I am more efficient, better organized and as a result, I am enjoying my work as a therapist much more. This makes it easy for a non business minded person to manage the business side of things professionally. I would highly recommend it to anyone who has a therapy business.

I haven't used SimplePractice for very long, but I am extremely satisfied with the program so far. Not only has it saved me time with case notes, but I now have access to client files when I need them. This is especially helpful in emergency situations when I am not at my office. I am also able to send out automatic reminders to clients, which my clients really appreciate. Another time saver! Glad I took the plunge and transferred over to an online system. I highly recommend SimplePractice for therapists in private practice!

Cant really rave enough about this software. My favorite element is being able to dictate my case notes- I takes notes during session and rewriting them into files has been really tedious. Taking just a few moments to summarize and dictate has been a big time saver, and makes me feel really organized. I'm still in the process of learning everything this software has to offer but it all feels really intuitive to me. I'm particularly excited about learning the insurance billing tools. I'm not sure if they even offer this yet because I am still new, but a book keeping element would be an awesome addition and make simple practice a one stop shop all around. thanks!

After researching a few management software systems for my therapy practice, I found Simple Practice met my needs the best. It's reasonably priced for a solo practioner, has all the templates I need, and is easy to use. I use it for calendaring, notes, and preparing invoices. like that I can use it from my pc, or iPhone. If there's something I need help with I can usually find the answer in their FAQs, or I can always email them and they will get back to me. I have not used it for insurance billing, but I like having the option if I decide to do that in the future. It would be nice to have some telephone support, but so far I've been okay with only email support.

I have been trying to "go paperless" in my practice for years. As a result, I cobbled together several programs that addressed progress notes, correspondence, billing, book keeping, and cloud storage, which became unwieldy and expensive to maintain. With Simple Practice, I have been able to streamline the administrative part of my practice, which leaves me more time and energy for my clinical work. Simple Practice was a small investment with a big return. The SP team is responsive to ideas, and they continue to improve the application to keep up with dynamic changes inherent to both mental health and every changing technology. Suffice it to say, I'm a VERY happy customer.

\-The software provides you with templates that you can customize which is very helpful. -The videos and clips are very user friendly when you have questions. -Client reminders are great and a free benefit of using the software. -The client portal is easy to use and a great/secure way to communicate with clients.

Cons

\-Initially- it is challenging to figure out what settings will work best with your practice, however, the free one on one session with SimplePractice clarified the options.
